If you are concerned about weight gain, please don’t purchase Ona’s Progesterone cream. There are hundreds of women who have complained of stubborn weight gain after starting it. It takes some of the women literally months to lose the weight after stopping the cream. There is a Facebook group called ‘Estrogen Dominance’ that pushes and sells Ona’s cream to peri-menopausal women struggling with symptoms. Any time someone posts about how much weight they’ve gained on Ona’s Progesterone cream, their posts are quickly deleted or they get removed from the group. They also encourage women to dismiss advice from their gynecologists. Most women don’t realize that oral progesterone (NOT progestin) is bio-identical! It’s very effective, inexpensive, and typically covered by insurance. Whereas Ona’s is much more expensive for a lower dose and can transfer to pets and family members because it’s an external cream. I’m just hoping to spare other women from the side effects I experienced. It’s hard enough struggling through menopause without adding weight gain on top of other symptoms.

I have been buying from Ona's for a couple of years, but stopped since I didn't think I needed the cream anymore. Now I understood I still do. The cream was great. But, when I started searching for the company I came across loads of complaints, apparently starting when Ona died. I understand having to take a break under those circumstances completely. But what I don't understand is that people are STILL not getting what they order, not getting any response, and not getting any refunds when things go wrong. A couple of hours ago I responded to a persons concerns on Ona's facebook page, I did not write anything nasty, I was just being concerned too. They have now deleted the post and my conclusion is that no concerned voices are allowed to be heard. I think that is really bad. I made a new comment that I will never buy from them again. I think a company that isn't taking responsibility and isn't allowing critique is dodgy. Too bad, Ona's was a company I trusted, quick delivery, always correct products, friendly and reliable. There are other creams that do the job, I will get one of those.

I have been a long time customer of Ona's & I will continue to be, service is always great, product works, I have no complaints!

I'm Dr. Michael Roth, an authorized distributor for Ona's Progesterone. I was saddened to hear of some of the disappointments expressed on this website, but I know the owner, and he went through an excruciatingly rough time during his wife's health issues and her sudden death as you can well understand. It even affected our business relationship for nearly a year. However, things are strengthening, the business is building and the formula is still as good as ever including an increase of Aspen Bark Extract natural preservative added to prevent molding. I'm also back on Amazon and they are well known for fast shipping and resolving any issues. As much as is possible, we will always do our best to have a supply of the pumps and jars available on that venue. Thanks!

EDIT: Ona’s despatched my progesterone in the end, but as I'd asked for the order to be cancelled several times, I emailed them again in frustration. I then received a prompt reply and and was swiftly refunded with an apology for the lack of communication. As Ona’s has always been a reliable company I must admit I was shocked and disappointed to have been let down but this is the first time it has happened and the situation has now been rectified. I realise all businesses are stretched at times and I may have been hasty in my initial review of one star, therefore I wanted to add this note as the customer service since has not reflected that one bad experience.

Initial review: Ona’s have always been a fantastic company, super efficient and professional. I know there was a bereavement as Ona herself passed away which was extremely sad. It seems that something has gone very wrong lately as I’ve heard a number of other people are having issues with their orders. Bearing in mind people are relying on progesterone hormone treatment also..

They always used to deliver the products with a couple of days. It’s now been almost 2 weeks since I ordered. I had an email to say my order had been received and was being dealt with. I have since completely withdrawn from progesterone (which hadn’t been pretty) and I’ve emailed them 4 times now to request they cancel my order and refund me. Nothing. I’ve been trying to ring the only telephone number available for them (in USA) and no one picks up, it goes to voicemail but says unable to leave a message as mailbox is full.

I despair I really do. Apparently ‘tis the season to take your money by any means necessary! They’re not the only company that’s done this to me this month. Apparently you can’t rely on anyone any more.

If they are experiencing difficulties, I sympathise but COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS.

It feels so sad that Ona’s legacy is going this way after she worked so hard to help people. I hope they are able to return to their original excellent standards, however I won’t be a returning customer. I am happy to edit this review if they will rightfully refund me my money as I have asked, otherwise I will reluctantly have to escalate the matter. I really can’t afford to be out of pocket.

Edit: after 18 days, the cream arrived. I've raised the stars from 1 to 3. There was a notification email the day before it arrived, and a confirmation email. There were zero replies to my email inquiries. Be careful. Pay with a credit card, you have a chance of recovering your money if you never get the cream. All the times I ordered before, the cream arrived 2 -3 days later. Thank you.

Just like the other reviewer, I have always bought this cream over the last few years. It's worked very well. I recently put an order in for £158. It's been 7 days and no cream. Usually, the orders were sent out rapidly. I never had to wait or worry. I've sent emails to onasnaturalprogesteronecream at g mail dot com. No reply. Previously they'd reply. I have just tried ringing the US telephone number. It went to a voicemail saying the box was full, then cut right off. The number I used:

It's clear that something very wrong has happened. I'm saddened to read in the other review that Ona passed away. Whoever's in charge of her business is unprofessional, unreliable and taking money for zero goods. I'll be in touch with the bank to get my money back.

You're destroying a brilliant business. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Stop stealing people's money. Man up and reply, pathetic treatment of other people.

I have repeatedly purchased the 10% and 20% progesterone products directly from Ona's website. I find them all of great quality and very effective. I have, on occassion, written and asked for specific information re non-progesterone ingredients (ideally I'd like products without xanthan gum, aspen bark preservative or sorbitan olivate) and recieved transparent and informative replies. Generally, I think Ona's products are superior (the vitamin E oil with 10% progesterone is additive free and excellent). I am an informed and experienced user of natural progesterone. The company's service has also improved enormously since I first started purchasing, and is good now. VTR

Me and my wife have been long time customers of Ona's company, as my wife is seriously ill and requires large doses of progesterone cream for treatment. The product was usually good with a few snags here and there when we received cream that was subpar. However, original company founder had a 100% guarantee on her website, quick shipping, and always replaced damaged product at company's expense which was their policy. We were also given a wholesale discount because we were placing large orders for over two years consistently.

Unfortunately, Ona had suddenly passed and her company fell into her husband's hands. A few months before her passing, shipping started to slow down and orders were beginning to be mishandled, but a few months after she passed on things went completely awry. We began to get expired or damaged medication, and the last order we placed was completely wrong-we were sent someone else's cream that was significantly weaker and several hundred dollars cheaper than what we paid for. When I contacted Eric, the current owner of the company, the only time he would answer the phone through this whole ordeal, he promised to ship the right order next day air and send us a return label for the wrong product to be shipped back.
A few days later, we found out that not only he lied about shipping the order fast, he also held a third of my wife's medication hostage in an attempt to force us to ship the wrong product back to him at our expense.
He refused to return phone calls or contact me directly in any manner, and only answered to a couple of emails in one liners, refusing to answer any questions or talk to us. When we realized he is holding large part of the order we paid for hostage, we told him to ship it and to give us a return label. He proceeded to punish us by revoking our lifetime wholesale discount, stating that "his money was tight". He continued to refuse to give us what we paid for, and I finally had to tell him that I will reverse charges on my credit card.

Throughout this whole ordeal, my wife had to suffer severe damages of stopping a serious medical treatment suddenly, which raised her blood pressure to stroke level, and now she needs several major surgeries as a result of this man's actions. He penalized a sick customer for his own mistake in full knowledge of what damage he is causing to her as we spoke about it before multiple times. Now, we can't afford my wife's treatment anymore because he raised the price on us by 40% and we can't even rely on him to ship correct orders or respond to any communication. Oh, and when we finally got the remainder of our order, it was expired.

Since this progesterone cream is often used to treat many major disorders and help prevent miscarriages, his behavior is not just unethical, it's sickening.
I would strongly recommend anyone who requires progesterone treatment not to use this company because this man can hurt you and make you extremely sick, like he has done to my wife. Sudden dropping of medication like this can actually kill a person who's been on it for a prolonged period of time. Please stay away.
