their coin system is worst and they are fooling the teachers by their coin system simply charging the coins for the enquiries and most of them are posted by the teachers they charge teachers for sharing teachers contact what a nice joke and after contacting to their support they tell that 25% coins will be refunded on report so nice business take 100 rs from someone and when he says that why you have taken this illegally then simply return 25 rs keep 75 with you and say i am refunding you for invalid enquiries great

Earlier the platform was good but no they have become thieves,, they want 25% of revenue sharing for every student you get from them + have to pay coins to get no of each student + the payment should be done through app only & they will pay to tutor slowly .. Purely thieves.. i hope people should ban this app & this type of business' model will not survive much thanks i am leaving their platform,,

This app intends to reduce a tutor to the level of customer support executive. Disgusting site on which I have wasted Rs3000 today. There business policy is more intended to suck hard earned money of tutors.

I purchased an UrbanPro tutor membership expecting a transparent platform for connecting with students. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.

Only after purchasing the subscription and attending the onboarding session did I fully understand the platform's commercial model, including the recurring coin system for responding to enquiries and the commission structure. In my view, these are material aspects of the service that should be made clear before a customer decides to pay.

Within 24 hours of purchasing the membership, and before making any meaningful use of the service, I requested cancellation and a full refund. My request was declined solely on the basis of the company's "non-refundable" policy.

What disappointed me most was not just the refusal to refund, but the lack of willingness to consider the fact that I acted almost immediately after understanding how the platform actually operates.

I also found numerous reviews from other tutors raising concerns about lead quality and the effectiveness of the coin system. While everyone's experience may differ, reading those reviews after my purchase reinforced my concerns.

I encourage prospective tutors to thoroughly understand:

How the coin system works and the ongoing costs involved.
The commission structure applicable to classes.
The refund policy, as the company maintains that membership fees are non-refundable.

My intention is not to discourage others from using the platform but to help potential tutors make a fully informed decision before purchasing a membership.

No value for money. Don't trust the positive reviews online they are mostly fake just like their enquiries.

My experience with UrbanPro as a tutor has been extremely disappointing. The company keeps sending emails about student leads, but whenever I try to open the page to contact the student or parent, it simply does not work. Despite paying the registration charges, I have not been able to contact a single parent or student even after one week.

It feels misleading and unfair to tutors who invest their money and time with genuine expectations. Based on my personal experience, I would advise tutors to be very careful before trusting or registering with UrbanPro.

I paid the subscription for UrbanPro Tutor partnership program with a validity of around 3 months. I have the necessary skills and expertise and just wanted to get a few leads to get started. I got coins from purchasing this program, but although there are many enquiries showing up, nothing ever materialises. Even the ones who contacted me upfront for a demo were just looking for time pass or they contacted me without checking my profile which clearly says i teach online and offline is only at my place. They ask me to come to their place and then I have to reject the demo requests. Finally, if i want to promote myself these guys ask for further coins which is like virtual currency. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend tutors to go for their subscription as they are only squeezing money out at every step while providing nothing in return. The Zoom app that you finally get to work on is anyways a free app. No leads, no platform, stay away from them.

Never Join Urban pro as learner...

Online learning platforms cannot simply register tutors and escape responsibility. If tutors are brought in through the platform, then the platform must take full responsibility for payment security, class quality, professionalism, and refund accountability. Money transactions should never be left entirely between tutors and learners. Payments must be controlled and monitored by the platform itself, and if classes are not conducted properly, ethically, or on time, refund responsibility should fall directly on the platform. Learners are investing their hard-earned money with trust — not donating it to unverified systems without accountability.

Very disappointing experience with the spoken Hindi tutoring service. Before confirming classes, the tutor asked several personal details such as my workplace, native place, educational background, and degree specialization. Based on those conversations, he presented himself as someone with a very similar background to mine, which naturally created trust and comfort as a learner.

However, later I found several inconsistencies between the information shared during conversations and the details available publicly on the platform. This raised serious concerns regarding transparency and authenticity.
Apart from this, professional ethics were not properly maintained during the sessions, and certain inappropriate/uncomfortable comments made the learning environment unpleasant, especially for a female learner. Despite raising concerns, the payment/refund handling was also disappointing.

I sincerely request online learners, especially female learners, to verify tutor profiles thoroughly before trusting personal claims made during conversations. Online educational platforms must ensure stricter verification, professional conduct, and accountability to protect students and maintain trust.

Update (August 2026):
After posting this review, the UrbanPro Support Team contacted me, listened to both sides, and helped resolve the refund for the unattended sessions. I appreciate their efforts in resolving that aspect of the issue. However, my original concerns regarding the tutor's conduct remain.
I also hope UrbanPro improves transparency by clearly informing new learners about payment procedures and platform policies.
