Out of the 42 possible companies for MTD they were the best.
They answer queries promptly and informatively and help with getting started on the process with a face to face online interview which is tailored to the needs of the client.

I've been looking for mtd software which is actually suitable for a sole trader without experience of financial software. As someone who has always used paper accounts I wanted software which has an option of manual entry and not connecting to bank accounts. This is the first one I have found that is extremely well thought out with the customer in mind. Staff are extremely helpful, friendly and professional.
It is logically thought out and they are really interested in small businesses (unlike a lot of the companies I contacted. Strongly recommended.

Deviated away from GetCoconut for MTD because of the simple issue of they don't work with Virgin Business accounts (82) and then found united.oi who specify with these accounts and it literally took 7 minutes to get it all up and running! Great work guys, glad to be a member :)

I attended a Zoom session last night where Kevin explained the upcoming changes with HMRC accounts going digital and demonstrated his platform. He was incredibly easy to understand and spoke very much on our level, which made a huge difference. Nothing was overcomplicated. He explained everything clearly and simply, especially for those of us who are new or slightly nervous about the changes.

Kevin also made the session genuinely enjoyable. He was professional throughout but had a great sense of humour, which kept things relaxed and engaging. I came away feeling informed, reassured and far more confident about what’s ahead. A really well delivered and helpful session. I highly recommended.

I've been using untied for a few years, and it's transformed doing my tax return from something of dread to something that's (almost) fun! The team are super helpful and quick at replying to any queries - they absolutely know their stuff.

I also used untied to sign up to making tax digital and the whole thing was super simple, and it took less than a minute.

I recommend you give untied a go - it's a great app, with brilliant support that makes life soo much less stressful!

So very easy to use and the help is there straight away , always been scared of HMRC so had accountant but everything going digital it was time to get on board and untied has made things so easy

I'm currently trialling this, it is my first day of use having previously given up on trialling other sites due to their complexity and the amount of time it takes to a) figure out how to use it and b) actually use and understand how it works.
This site is a breath of fresh air, I like tasks like this to be quick and simple and it certainly is that and what you don't know there are easy to follow tutorials, the interface is very easy to navigate and straightforward to use. You can't beat simplicity! I'll definitely be purchasing and using this going forward. A task which I was dreading as I usually keep my own records for my business but since we are now going MTD this is so much easier and quicker than my existing way of doing it (excel spreadsheets). I can't recommend it enough.
The best part about it is linking your bank accounts and all you need to do is mark your entries as business or personal / income or outgoings and the calculations are all automatic and you can see your return whenever you want to and before you send it, it's marvellous. It looks very straightforward to submit your return direct to HMRC and make payments to HMRC.
I will trial sending my invoices at the end of January which also looks very straightforward to use.
One slight issue is that the magic link email to log in isn't coming through to me now but it's not an immediate issue and I've done what I need to do with it today (added all this year's information and I wasn't going to start until the next tax year but it was so easy and it's done now, what a relief!!).
I will revisit the email link issue and contact support if it hasn't rectified itself the next time I use it which I'm sure it will have done. Thank you so much for creating such a fabulous easy to use interface. This is such a time saver and will make self assessments a much more pleasant task.

I am trialling this software and wow! What a breath of fresh air it is compared to others I have wasted my time on.

I went the self-employed route. I thought untied was a good idea. 79 GBP later, it started to look ok, once I set it up. Mileage logged, incoming, outgoing, utr. Yet, when it came to filling directly, as they claim, error. So, they cost me £100 fine, £80 fee and time to set up, for no reason. WASTE

If you use them, don't leave your self assesment filling until the last day. That was my mistake. That way, you can get in touch if something doesn't work properly and they will help. Credit to their business model, their involvement doesn't stop as soon as they got your money. If I was going self employed again, I would come back to Untied.

Really good system - I needed the support as there was an issue in HMRC matching my account. They responded to me within the hour and the problem was resolved almost immediately. Really good service.

I'm an accountant but always outsourced my taxes as it appeared complex. Untied's feature of linking bank accounts to the application is genius. It is a simple job of identifying taxable income and expenses from the imported transactions and then completing the step by step Q&A. This app is going to save me £1,000+ a year in tax accountant's fees. Thank you Untied team!

I payed to be registered as a self employed and I didn't received any help in the process, and never received my money back or be registered as I payed for.
