They recently got in touch and apologised for not doing so sooner. We discussed our requirements and the policy was in place that afternoon. Been using them for some years now and very happy with the service.

Kirsten at unity took a complex query and set of requirements and was able to build a straightforward cost effective policy that worked for our charity!!

We experienced a multitude of issues with Unity, staff leaving and not handing us over, our building valuation coming back and us not being told for 3 months despite us being “severely underinsured” and being chased for renewals we have already agreed on multiple occasions. The only justifications for 2 stars was one particular staff member who went above and beyond to sort the mess out for us and the fact that Unity provide a unique level of cover for scout groups that can’t be found elsewhere.

We have a particularly challenging requirement and Bradley Scott made very sure that our new insurer both understood and covered that requirement. I have never been asked so many questions, but Unity saved our charity a very significant sum compared to our previous quote. Very pleased with the service and very happy to be helping Scouting at the same time.

It seemed almost as if we were a brand new client rather than one of long standing because we were asked such questions as date and type of construction of the buildings which one could expect to be already on file. The first quote for renewal was 41% higher than the previous year which was offered to us without any explanation as to the reason. However we received a revised quote that we were able to accept. Lucy was extremely courteous and put up with my moaning admirably!

1st time user of Unity. I asked quite a few questions and got the answers back quickly. Some answers were good new and other were not - but it gave me a clear picture of what I needed for the Scout group. ran it past the trustees and sorted!! easy to do and happy to use again!!!

Due to our own admin error I was late in renewing. Super helpful account manager arranged extension of policy so we were not without cover and after a lengthy phone call we renewed and the quote was nearly £1000 cheaper than last year's premium for our campsite building and contents. That's something that doesn't happen these days.

Again renewed with Unity due to time restraints. Transpired I was given wrong information 2 years prior and we were not covered for something I was told we were. Told they would have honoured a payout but only have their word for this. Therefore, premium increased massively this year to cover what we thought was previously covered. On top of yet another annual increase for a Group that hasn't claimed in decades. Not sure Unity admin fee is that justifiable based on this. They also claimed we agreed to renew which wasn't the case as I had raised questions on the renewal and pending answers. Only saving grace is money goes back into Scouts, but likely will shop around more next year.

Good customer service, easy to renew and prices fair. However very disappointed the boundary wall of our scout grounds, as well as two gates onto the property, are not covered by the buildings policy.

Have used Unity “ for ever” for scout group contents insurance but never yet had to claim. Contacted 1 month before renewal by agent and all went smoothly. Haven’t compared cover with alternative providers Just hope they give value for money. Cover usefully includes damage at camp and monetary loss. Never seen agents arrangement fee within a quote from other operators.
