The device stoped working and their…

The device stoped working and their support is useless. I feel completely scammed. The device stoped connecting to the app. They won’t offer a replacement or a refund. It’s so expensive for this quality.

Other things I didn’t know about the devise. It’s registered to you alone and no one else can use it.
-it can only be used once every 24 hours. Not convenient at all. You basically have to use it the same time every day.
-the mouth piece has to be replaced often and is expensive. They installed a chip so you have no choice.

It’s just a tense machine! Can someone please create a better version of this.

BUYER BEWARE: NO REPLACEMENT FOR DEFECTIVE, FLIMSY DEVICE

BUYER BEWARE: The device is flimsy, poorly made and falls apart easily (in spite of being quite expensive). After a few months of using a new device, it became defective and barely puts out the signal to stimulate my tongue (whereas when I first got the device it was strong). In spite of multiple requests for a replacement for a defective device, over the past 12 months, the representatives at excite OSA have been non responsive and unhelpful. To date, they have not responded to my request for a replacement for this expensive device.

The eXciteOSA works great for me

The eXciteOSA works great for me. The APP is good for keeping track of progress and a reminder when to change the mouthpiece. Recently my control unit quit working and I was assisted with the problem by Jasmine Winley, Patient Advocate with Signifier Medical Technologies. The control unit was replaced and useful instructions were given to help in using it.

Major glitch, can't use it when you want

You have no control over when to use the device. You have to wait 24 hours, not 22, not 23, so even though its the next day, you cant use the device many times because it hasnt beem 24 hours, this leads to many days getting missed where you cant use it, so it awful you paid so much for the device but can't use it.

Awesome innovative apnea therapy

Their product is awesome - and quite unique, innovative, but using proven technology. Since much sleep apnea is driven by lack of tone in the tongue muscle, eXciteOSA leveraged neuromuscular electrical stimulation, NMES - the same technology used in physical therapy on large muscles - to essentially "tone up" the tongue. The result is a significant reduction in apnea events - and improvements in snoring.

Initially it was stated if I paid the…

Initially it was stated if I paid the $I,200.00 and if it didn't work, I would get back $600.00; back; so the first week it fell apart it split into two; I had to send it back and it was replaced; we had to go over it a few times I guess the person who received training didn't know what they were doing; I had to go through many Dr's visits and pay copays and deductibles; then I had to go through a sleep study; costing me more and more out of pocket when I decided it this it had not worked for me they never refunded or answer my calls and avoided me; I'm still trying to get my monies back it's been two years now; I feel a sense of defeat and it was a scam I will call my insurance and report it as fraud, they should not promise something they will not come through; just like everything else the rich man keeps getting richer out of us hard working people I work hourly and that was a lot of money for me.

Shambles of a company and service in UK…

Shambles of a company and service in UK is nothing short of shambolic

After spending thousands the back up service is now non existent

1) mouthpieces have been out stock in UK for 2 months + and counting cannot get these (constant excuses)

2) the unit that you charge your mouthpiece I have now had two broken in last 4 months again a product that is now useless

They really are a shambles of a company and no doubt won’t reply on this review as all of the above they won’t be able to defend

Don’t wast your money on a device you cannot use.

This device does work, however, despite costing a fortune you cannot get the replaceable mouthpieces which you cannot use after 90 days. So I paid a lot of money for something I cannot use and this was money I couldn’t really afford at the time. If you want to spend a lot of money for something that could potentially improve your life that will sit useless on a drawer then this is the device. I feel like the money I paid for it has been stolen from me.

This device is awesome!!

This device is awesome!!! I have mild sleep apnea and I have used the CPAP ( From the pit of hell ) and had horrible results with it! The eXciteOSA has been working for me and love it!!! I incorporate my therapy into my daily routine -- only 20 min a day is so easy and it works!!!

Great product. Terrible administrative control over use


Like others, I think that the product is actually quite effective. I still snore but less and also less laboured.
My continual problem is with the administration of the mouthpieces. I left my EXciteOSA on holiday last year and it wasn't found for 3 months. There wasn't a replacement available at the time (last summer). When I got it back it had hardly been used yet the app wouldn't allow me to use it as I had to replace it. I eventually sorted it out with the company. They extended the use of the mouthpiece. I have periods of time when I don't use it as I should. When I try to go back to it, I'm told to replace the mouthpiece. This has happened several times. It's happening again just now. I bought it 3 months ago, I fell by the wayside over Christmas and New Year so it's not been used but the app is insisting that I buy a new one. It's been sitting, washed in a container so no problem to extend the use period.
I think that as soon as a competitor comes onto the market this company may disappear, not because it's not effective but because of the level of control they have over its use

I have been using the device for a few…

I have been using the device for a few years now and spent enough money on the device and mouthpieces, my device has worked fine until the last mouthpiece that was delivered, it worked initially and then started to lose connection mid session , then a few minutes into sessions and now to not at all. The online chat have given me troubleshooting to follow but nothing has worked, I am on subscription with them and I am due a mouthpiece again this is how long it’s been going on , and I’ve had try this try that , then it’s my iso26 fault , but I’ve tried the android device and still no joy. So I’m paying for mouthpieces but none has arrived as yet and not first time I had this issue , I paid for around 6 months and never received one just got message saying shortage I’ll reset yours. I have sent various messages and emails and it’s like they don’t read the email properly, I’ve had just tonight an email saying they will rest the device why it doesn’t work as I have said, then I got the ios26 again in the email I have said I’ve used android. All I want is this sorting I have spent thousands of pounds with the device and mouthpieces please provide the service and devices which are reliable and work, and when they don’t react and sort instead of delaying and giving it the old I’ll contact UK. When the device works it’s great and helped me massively , but since I have not been able to use for such a long period of time I am back to square one snoring in the spare room.

Customer care not great

I would give the product a four star however I have recently had a problem with a faulty mouthpiece (only worked for 8 days) I have tried many different ways to contact customer care for replacement but my numerous emails have been ignored. It seems once they have your money that's all they're interested in. Disappointing after being a customer for several years and having spent well over a thousand pounds with them..
Update: I have now received a free replacement mouthpiece so upped my rating to 4 stars. Would have given 5 if customer services had responded quicker

Doesn’t work and it’s a scam

First of all, the device didn’t really work. It lowered my AHI by 2 points. After trying the ExciteOSA, I got a mouthguard that was covered by insurance and my AHI went down to 3, aka no sleep apnea! The dentist suggested I continue to do tongue exercises so I figured I might as well use the device. Because I had had it more than 150 days I was required to order a new mouthpiece. I was unable to start the treatment and so a few months later I decided to begin. When I did, the app told me that my mouthpiece was expired and I had to buy another one. I reached out to the company to explain I had never used the mouthpiece that I had recently ordered, and they said it didn’t matter. Every mouthpiece expires after 150 days whether you use it or not. What a scam!

Please don't skip over this review

Please don't skip over this review. I genuinely think they are selling a good product, but the business itself is operating with deceptive practices. I developed issues with the device and requested a refund under their 30-day money back guarantee. I've been reaching out to customer support via email and the app for nearly six months and the responses have been extremely limited. Upon further research, it seems it's common practice for this company not to honor refunds, warranties, and other product inquires.

Can’t support their own product

Tried in vain to keep my therapy with this device up for 18months. Had 2 device replacements due to faults and they were pretty good about reacting to those early issues but then I signed up to the monthly subscription to pay instalment for quarterly mouthpieces amthat rarely were delivered on time in year one. And then 2 together at the start of this year. Went off the subscription and after 4 months tried sourcing fresh mouthpieces. Had to wait 3 months then for new opportunity buy them on the website. Purchased 2 together. They shipped them without correct paperwork and they were rejected at customs. 6 weeks later, no delivery and they are ghosting me as I have requested refunds for the items not delivered but paid for and I have also requested a refund for the device as it useless without fresh mouthpieces.

Update 17th October: still waiting on a promised refund that was promised over a week ago.

Update 14th November. Finally received most of my refund.
