Lack of Ubiquiti End User Support
Two Ubiquiti cameras were installed on my home. One week later, one of the cameras stopped working. The original installer did an extremely shoddy job. I am not pleased with the end result. The entire process was a complete nightmare and did not end well. The installer did not explain how the Ubiquiti company is operated (i.e. no direct end user support). It was only after the cameras were installed that I learned the installer is my only source of “support.” I do not feel comfortable continuing to work with this individual. Ubiquiti should provide assistance to the end user in these types of situations.
Horrible company
Horrible company. Spent $1,000 and one of the mesh units would not power up and they charged me to send it back.

I have 7 cameras and a server running. I have contact ui for a new camera that is compatible with their software. No response. cowboy operation. Not worth purchasing their equipment.
Terrible organisation for allowing…
Terrible organisation for allowing equipment to be repackage via turkey and used by Russia to commit genocide on Ukraine
Good UX and equipment
Just upgraded my residential network to all UniFi gear. Gateway, APs, NVR, and couple of cameras.
My WiFi is amazingly reliable. I'm very satisfied with the camera quality and app experience. And they have a decent release schedule with pretty quick turnarounds for issues.
Sure, they aren't perfect, but they have demonstrated that they actually care about UX and making quality products. This is far better than anything I've ever had previously over the years.
I know I might not be a power users, and I've seen issues on the community pages for releases. But I would recommend their gear for most prosumer type folks who want to tinker and get their hands dirty.
Especially to those looking to move beyond TP Link or their fiber/cable providers out of the box solutions. Especially if you are concerned with tracking and privacy.
Really bad network software....their Pbx is not working at all!
No serious live troubleshooting tools.
Zero support.
Zero documentation.... The unifi support page for unifi talk

Do not buy this solution if you need a basic Pbx! Imagine if you would

I've been using Ubiquity for years. Nearly always been solid.
My last issue they sent me out a replacement before I'd even sent the failed item back.
I had one issue a couple of years back where they didn't resolve the problem, feels like they've improved customer service since then.
Besides that, delivering on features promised and a more open roadmap would be nice.
Very good products
Very good products, easy to setup and use. I'm using UDMPro + US24 + Surveinacne + some APs. No problems till now.
Never buy their product
Never buy their product, they cause nothing but trouble and cost you time and money, stay far away
Vlotte communicatie
Ik had na mijn bestelling mail communicatie. Men antwoorde snel en correct en hielp me zo goed verder. Bedankt daarvoor!

Just received delivery on UI's latest…
UPDATE: Many ISPs, including Starlink, send ipv6 addresses and RAs to customer's modems. Ubiquiti's lack of real-world engineering does NOT take into account that not all data streams follow their unnecessarily strict acceptance parameters. For instance, most consumer grade routers can handle the DOPPLER SHIFT in data streams from Low Earth Orbit satellites perfectly, but the top-of-the line Cloud Gateway Ultra will NOT! The UNIFI CLOUD GATEWAY ULTRA will drop ipv6 connections after several minutes, and not let you log back in until ipv6 is restored on that SSID. You can log onto another SSID if an ipv6 address is present in your WAN and LAN display under the NETWORKS selection. This appears to be a software glitch that UBIQUITI doesn't care to fix, so I installed a TP-LINK AC5400x Router that properly handles ipv6 for the Moderators (gaming) who need it, and the rest of the clients are on the the UNIFI network, which gets its feed from one of the 8 Ports on the TP-LINK router. I connected an old Netgear XR500 to another port on the TP-Link router, and it works just fine for ipv6. ipv6 is present at the input and at the output ports on the UNIFI Cloud Gateway Ultra, but the UCG I received appears to have an RA (Router Announcement) that expires too quickly, and you'll waste hours trying to find the cause.
(original review) I Just received delivery on UI's latest and greatest CLOUD GATEWAY ULTRA router/UniFi controller. Setup was pretty smooth and the whole system updated nicely. I later found a "glitch" in the software that turned off ipv6 when I manually changed QOS to a different value. From all the logging in, I suddenly found that I was permanently locked out from all WiFi SSIDs!!! OK, went to an ethernet cable and regained control. Reset password & SSID. Rebooted. Still locked out. Went to the Ubiquiti Forum, and found a 6 YEAR OLD thread that had 8 PAGES of people with the SAME PROBLEM...... and nothing was ever resolved! What good is it to have one of UI's top-of-the-line devices, then find you can't trust it! This is not the first time I had problems with Ubiquiti devices. I lost all faith in Ubiquiti, and their CLOUD GATEWAY ULTRA is now an expensive paperweight.
IF YOU NEED ipv6 ON YOUR NETWORK, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT BUY UBIQUITI's CLOUD GATEWAY ROUTER until all the bugs are worked out.
Never trust Ubiquiti
Never trust Ubiquiti. I've spent thousands on access points, cameras, and networking gear over the years.
They've promised features that never arrived, failed to address key gaps in their systems, and most recently they're trying harder than ever to lock you into their ecosystem by actively removing interoperability features.
The most recent problem I've had that's completely killed the brand for me is they RETROACTIVELY removed the ability to access RTSP streams from the cameras, so unless you use their NVR, the cameras are basically useless. Never mind that their NVR solution has no effective way to automate backups of the footage, so if there's a theft of the NVR or failure, you're on your own!
Find a better brand.

UDM/Protect The never ending story..
Having a UDM (Unify dream machine) everything should be a plug n play, it might be as long as you do not play around with the setting and adding Wifi, protect talk etc.
This incident is about Protect, a camera setup which has more issues than Murphy could even participate.
The first setup went ok, but then: Theres no backup. Yes one can save recordings on the UDM (if one installs a harddrive) Recordings nice and easy, motion sensors - but export isn’t an option.
One can choose up to 30 event and save one by one.. So when asking Unify about this: “ Ohh thanks for getting in touch, we will forward this to development..” Right, knock knock What is theres a fire or burglary - if they steal the UDM, then there isn’t any evidence - That is simply not good enough.
On the community this has been an issue for years. But its possible to save records via RTSP Synology NAS, if one correct the port no.
Then Protect has (should have) the ability to show live cameras and recordings, but no: The msg: Setup console came up constantly. On UI community this is also a big issue. After setting up the UDM console several times*, its turns out that the Camera is the console, after reset of these cams (up the ladder, dismantle hard reset on each and every one) then cams can be shown in the protect app.
The UDM is also crazy setting up when having a PPOE, It insist in having a username and password. Well mine do not - ohh then setup offline, yea right, then you cant access from outside network, så up the hole network setup with old and other routers, in order to get sh** online.
This UNIFY has been very demanding, and one should really consider and other setup, who have all the features from start.
