I’ve worked with TrustMark for a number of years. Great team, dedicated to consumer protection consumer protection and very knowledgeable about the RMI market.

Shockingly bad company! We had a few jobs done under our housing association, we had a call out of the blue saying they were coming out to inspect the work that had been done. The guy came out, found numerous faults on the work carried out, solar panels had been put on the wrong way 😲, he said someone would be in touch within 2 weeks, a month later we heard nothing, we got back in touch only to be told they couldn't speak to me as I was not named on the rental agreement, I always speak on behalf of my elderly mother, other companies are usually sympathetic, not Trust Mark, my mother's reaction is 'don't bother' so that's how it has been left.

Absolutely shocking how unhelpful trustmark are. I’ve got various problems with the cowboys that they certificate to work on our homes. Damaged roof etc but they closed my account due to the company IZ energy services Ltd have gone into liquidation but I’m some how advised to give them the chance to put the issues right before I can go through the process of the complicated so called insurance process. Absolutely horrendous service.

Unprofessional and dishonest body. Emailed and they confirmed builder isnt registered with them and said they would take action. Asked for.evidence of emails estimates etc of builder advertising as a member. Then clear 360 degree turn. Emails me stating the builder was a member and membership coincidentally expired end of month of last correspondence between myself and builder. Lying fools.

We had our house insulated under the ECO4 scheme due to my Heart and Renal Failure and Asthma. Everything wasnt good ,RJM Insulation Limited trashed our roof and driveway, the professional roofer took 5days to fix 30 faults!!
It was inspected in December 2025 by TrustMark and major faults were found ,they gave RJM 8 weeks to do the work, their workmen come out and say nothing needs doing. So TrustMark gave them another 8 weeks as RJM used the excuse that I had major heart surgery , the work still didn't get done so I rang TrustMark who sent me a email stating that RJM were still trying to get the work completed, unbelievable! There is never anyone you can talk to ,takes ages fir a email back as nobody phone's you . Nothing was done again and after weeks of trying to get TrustMark to do something RJM takes themselves off of Trustmarks registration so now we are left with a house that isn't waterproof all because Trustmark didn't do the job they are paid to do unbelievable!!! TrustMark also believed the fake evidence RJM sent them of the work they had completed when they have done nothing!!!!!
RJM Insulation Limited are now closing the business down, so we have had to employ a solicitor to try to halt them closing the business down to get the house finished . Thie sress after major heart surgery hasn't helped my recovery, I'm on antidepressants and sleeping tablets all thanks to TrustMarks incompetence, the government should close this company down as they are useless!!

MCS AND TRUSTMARK. The primary objective of consumer protection standards and government-backed endorsements is to safeguard homeowners. However, due to a distinct lack of effective monitoring, inadequate vetting procedures, and poor rating systems, rogue building and plumbing contractors have been allowed to operate with impunity under your certification. This lack of institutional awareness and oversight has directly facilitated widespread malpractice, resulting in millions of pounds worth of structural and internal damage to homes across the UK.

Very bad customer support. Whenever you call them, they would never have aanyone available from the related departmentto help with the query. They will say we will get back to you but nobody does. Same it is with emails. They will just keep dragging the query and never resolve within deadline. Would never recommend to any businesses.

I chose Libra Construction in 2024 on Trustmark. I had an issue with dampness round bathroom window. They never found the problem where it was coming from. Took 2 years. Could only fit us in between their big projects leaving us in limbo 4 or 6 months at a time, thinking they've forgotten us. Wouldn't recommend them.

A TrustMark affiliated/approved company totally botched my ECO4 EWI installation and caused serious damage to my property. The company never finished the installation or rectified the damage they caused, and have walked away, despite this, they were paid by the ECO scheme. An independent insulation expert declared that my home is now a "fire hazard" because of the way the insulation has been fitted and needs removing asap.  Despite this, TrustMark, who endorsed this company have refused to help, stating "the company has now left our affiliation". TrustMark are a totally useless and pointless organisation who give legitimacy to cowboy builders so they can obtain Government grants.

After a botched Eco 4 installation I contacted Trustmark for support. I then found that Trustmark had identified that the installer had fitted a damaged water cylinder, had not fitted external pipe insulation at the pump on the original inspection (I was not involved as the tenant had made the original application). The Trustmark inspector missed that the venting pipework was 15mm instead of the 22mm required, leaving my property in danger of flooding.A major oversight. When I called them back to re inspect, the inspector was shocked that the cylinder hadn't been changed as he was under the impression that is was (if he'd bothered to check he would know) he stated that he would be pursuing the installer to rectify. But then the MD of Trustmark got involved and everything was quashed. I was told that it is okay for the Eco4 installer to fit damaged items. Much more to moan about, but just know a Trustmark logo means nothing. Just know not to expect any support, they are there to support the installation company in my opinion.

If a Organisation use the TRUST MARK logo then I would really do your research. It appears to be just a logo that luls you into a false sense of security if something goes wrong. That applies to any other logo that offers some form of accreditation or guarantee.
Also check the reviews these guarantors have and the service provider. Often the guarantees are worthless, industry funded etc. BUYER BE WARE.

I believed the Trustmark would help with my experience with ENERGY SMARTS extremely awful attempts to install my ECO4 system . Unfortunately my experience has shown differently. Solar panels incorrectly fitted, system not working, carpets, beds , laminate flooring ruined.
Trustmark have absolutely no interest in helping to sort this mess out .
I'm extremely unhappy.

Absolutely top notch! Had insulation cladding fitted and was having difficulty getting the company to finish up and clean up. One call to let them know a surveyor was coming to check, and miraculously, everything was done in a day!
The surveyor, Matt, was wonderful, friendly and non intrusive while checking. Overall, I have no idea why these rating could be so bad...unless they're written by employees of the cowboys they've exposed!

Got my windows replaced by a registered trust mark company.
Got shoddy windows fitted which leak let in draught and made in correctly
Got in touch with trust mark who didn’t want know
They knew the windows was faulty but wouldn’t help

Laughably awful. Asked if they could send a surveyor to assess the quality of our ECO4 ASHP/Solar/Insulation package. Made an appointment but no one turned up. Phoned for explanation and was told the team was running late and they would call me back. 4 hours later and no surveyor and no phone calls. A wasted morning. Just as well I am retired so no lost earnings. I really should bill them anyway

This company is beyond incompetent, they are extremely unhelpful and they refuse to give you a full SAR. There is zero point in their existence. They have hidden documents from me that would assist in my Ombudsman case. They are actively allowing cowboy and criminal behaviour from their installers. They also allow the scheme provider to do whatever they want and allow them to not follow their own complaints procedure. TrustMark is dishonest, incompetent and there is no point in their existence. Foul, horrible company

Trustmark have told to me lies to me for 15 months one minute the installers are registered then there not got as far as the ombudsman to told contact citizens Advice.There logo is a warning sign to stay away cowboys at work.I am left with a central heating system not connected up correctly holes in my walls floor boards left unsafe.not fit for purpose
