I've always found triple D to be helpful and they despatch orders in a timely manner.
I have a small concern but I'm not sure how much of a my concern is actually triple d responsibility. I would like triple d to be more for the customer when dealing with ktm .
I recently received a recall gor a clutch slave cylinder on my 690.
The fault is well known and has been circulating on social media for sometime.
My slave cylinder failed some time ago and at that time ktm had not acknowledged the fault. As a result I fitted a superior Oberon dlave cylinder and have had no further problems.
When I received the recall notice I contacted triple d and asked them for the upgraded part as mine had failed.
The immediate response was as I had chosen to fit a non standard part they would not supply me with the upgraded part.
Now my view is if you purchase a vehicle with a sub standard part then you have a right to the upgraded part as sub standard is not acceptable.
Ktms view was remove a perfectly good part and refit the failed part . I was then somehow supposed to get my bike to triple d a distance of 70mls for them to then upgrade the part.
That situation in my view is ridiculous surely I should be able to take in my failed part and receive the upgraded part in exchange.
Now okay triple d do give good service but in my view common sense is a bit lacking.
I'm not a person who is brand loyal I will go with what I feel is right for me.
All ktm have succeeded in doing is make me question my decision making. Now ktm may not be that concerned or indeed triple d for that matter. I feel however ,that this kind of response is totally unnecessary as not only does it leave me with a negative view it also leaves everyone I tell my story too with a negative view .
The question I have is why?

What a fantastic company, such friendly and helpful staff, I ordered a shock absorber complete with spring just after lunchtime and couldn’t believe it when at 10:30am the very next day stood our local postman with my shock.
