We are new to the holiday rental market and did not open until August, We had low expectations for this year, however we have been booked every week. It is great to have a designated manager, who we have found to be both helpful and pro active. I understand, talking to friends, that other companies no longer offer a designated manager. Travel Chapter have delivered on every aspect so far and we are delighted with their service
Booked a holiday and was very clearly told that the cost to use the EV charger was usually £25 per car per week, which was included in the price of the holiday. I therefore booked the property based on this.
When the holiday was all completely paid for, they then told me that the EV charger was NOT included and I would have to pay whatever rate the owners had set.
Obviously I raised a complaint and after significant pressure from me they reviewed the calls, which confirmed exactly what I had claimed.
Their response to this was to tell me that it was my responsibility to confirm that what they had told me was correct and they refused to do ANYTHING about it!!!!
When booking any holiday accomodation in the future I will make SURE that it is not through ANY company owned or managed by Travel Chapter Ltd.

Our interactions with Travel Chapter as a host of a new Holiday Let property have been seamless from start to finish. Communications are great and the Web Portal is easy to use and has everything necessary to conduct business efficiently - great job!
Travel Chapter are easy to contact and have been very helpful in guiding us through the setting up process. We have had various questions, all of which have been quickly answered.
At first we dealt with Helen, the new business manager, who gave us a lot of helpful advice. We subsequently have been in contact with Leanne, our property manager, who was also very helpful and encouraging.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Travel Chapter for people who were thinking of dipping their toes into the holiday lettings market.
Great support from the introduction, to set up and ongoing regular support from the central team and my designated local manager. Flexibility to book owner days if needed, very pleased with the amount of bookings throughout my first 5 months. Owner dashboard is simple to use to ensure you keep oversight of bookings, payments etc. Travel Chapter also o provide lots of genuinely useful info and offers for property owners too. Would recommend!
We only started renting out our cabin in May 2024, but have been nearly booked solid since then. Great platform/company to be a part of and any problems are quickly sorted without fuss. Home owner site is easy to use and well set out.
The whole process has been very efficient and helpful. Gemma is very quick with responses and very helpful . A1 service.

A very responsive team to me as a new owner and very quick in getting my property processed and on the website. The company has great reach online and bookings came in as soon as the property went live. The website is helpful as is the app and both seem to work well. Payments are processed promptly and statements are clear.

Since moving out cottages to Travel Chapter we have seen our bookings increase significantly
So far so good after transferring from my previous agent ( due to declining customer service issues ) to Travel Chapter six months ago.
Bookings have been strong so far, albeit in the challenging times we now find ourselves in as holiday cottage owners.
The personal touch of having a dedicated homeowner account manager has greatly improved the communication process when needed. Although due to a personnel change recently this continuity has been reset and needs to be built again.
Somewhat ironically, being asked to write this review of my experience with Travel Chapter brings me to my single area for wishful improvement…..it would be preferable and beneficial to have more guest reviews of their stay experiences - although I accept that this isn’t necessarily within Travel Chapter’s control.
However, other than that, as the 2024 season comes to a close , I look forward to the same again for the 2025 season.
I am an Owner of a cottage that I rent out and have found the quality of the orignal company was great , Holiday Cottages. Since they were incorpated into Travel Chapter and have ineffect sold out to them, only the front staff are good.
I am in the process of trying to speak with my manager and back office staff for various matters, one of which is a complaint by a customer and they are not responding, other than by an email which was ineffective. All faith has been lost by me, and this reflects on mee to my guests too. This is my own business but they will take very little responsibility. Still waiting for some sense, other than from front facing staff who do a great job.
Worked for Sally's Cottages with no issues, taken over by TRAVEL CHAPTER who were greedy, lie to owners to extract more money out of them, inadequate training, unrealistic targets, expected to do additional work. I took this company to an Employment Tribunal and the judge said it was the worst case he had seen in over 30 years, the Airey fairy manager lied to the judge, as did the HR manager. Both refused to be available for questioning claiming to be on long term sick, so judge halted hearing to establish when both were last at work..... and it turns out they were not on long term sick and were both at work the previous day....thought it was acceptable to e dishonest to the judge, who had clearly grasped that TRAVEL CHAPTER were dishonest. Managers discussed employees mental health issues and court cases with other team members, ( more in my next reviews), told lies to owners, and as the hearing commenced, failed to produce a hearing bundle. The message was to rinse owners dry and to introduce fees for this, that and the other. I could no longer work for this company and resigned.
EDIT No 1- TRAVEL CHAPTER contacted Trust Pilot to have this review taken down, claiming it contained illegal / harmful content. Trust Pilot assessed my review and determined my review met their guidelines, and my review remains published. More to follow.....
We felt very welcome well looked after.
The use of the pool an added bonus along with the rabbits and merry the dog .

Honeymoon ruined by your sites allowing properties to not show every angle of a garden, that's heavily overlooked and not adequately blocked from neighboring properties.
Talking about Dairy Cottages in Dorset, they left us out of date chocolates, a filthy place to stay, simply the worst stay we've ever had, had to book elsewhere and leave at the earliest opportunity to try and save our honeymoon even slightly.
Received no contact from holidaycottages since.
Strongly recommend never using these, and avoiding the above mentioned place, owners couldn't care less, attention to detail isn't there. Book a property half the price and upgrade.

I have been speaking to your sister company and according to the messages your TEAM are dealing with my complaint which is clearly not the case, I have chased this up over the last 2 weeks by DM and each time told the team are dealing with it, I have asked for a working email , as every time I try to email the CEO the emails are returned as undelivered one to Jayne McClure at travel chapter and Tom Ellis at Original cottages but for some strange reason they dont seam to have a working email ?? my husband phoned your Travel Chapter office last Friday and was supposed to be held in a cue but the call sent him to a voice message which he left his number and asked for a call back and surprise surprise know one returned his call so i would like to know why i am being ignored after the terrible ordeal we suffered by one of your holiday lets yo cant do enough when your taking our money but thats clearly where it ends

We have had such a poor experience with this company when it came to booking a trip away for the whole family to celebrate 70th birthdays and a 45th wedding anniversary.
Due to an unforeseen circumstance we were no longer able to go away on the original dates and so made the request to alter our stay to some dates we knew were available at the property. It was this or lose our £1000 deposit.
For no logical reason the request to rearrange our dates has not been granted. The only possible reason we can think of is that by not allowing us to change our dates the owners get to keep our deposit and have the opportunity to take money off someone else.
To top it off, we hadn't even cancelled the original dates but noticed that the property was listed as being available for that week - again indicating that they are trying to keep our deposit and hoping to take money from another booking too.
This greed is quite frankly disgusting and the lack of flexibility from the owners is something to take note of if you intend to try and book the property.
Dirty property and abysmal customer services. Provided photographic evidence of the issues at the property five days ago and no resolution, even resorted to contacting the CEO of Travel Chapter. I would avoid this company both as an owner and guest as they clearly do not care about their customers or their reputation
UPDATE. 8 days later and still no response from this company. I telephoned and was told it takes up to 30 days to resolve a complaint which probably speaks volumes about the amount of complaints they have to deal with. Also speaks volumes that the CEO isn’t concerned about the company reputation.
UPDATE. I have been contacted about my complaint and it has now been resolved.
