Great First Aid course.
What a great example of professional training and customer service today's course has proven to be. I was surprised when I joined the zoom meeting this morning to find I was the only attendee on the course. Gareth explained that due to some administrative error the advertisments for the course hadn't been posted, hence no uptake except for myself.
Now, most training providers would simply have cancelled, offered a refund or re-booked at a later date. Gareth and Transcom however decided to honour the booking, take the loss and provide the service to save inconveniencing me. That kind of customer service is sadly very much lacking in this day and age.
Gareth, an amiable chap, very experienced driver, transport manager, safety and first aid advisor, delivered the course professionally, knowledgeably and the seven hours simply flew by. The course content covered just about everything you would need to know to confidently offer and give first aid in both everyday and emergency situations. It's always a good idea to include a first aid course into your DCPC training, even if it's just to refresh and sharpen your knowledge from past courses and keep you up to date with changing advice, guidelines and legislation.
Gareth, thanks once again for keeping the course open today, very much appreciated, and thanks for the chat and for listening to my rambling anecdotes. You know how it is when two drivers get talking!
I'll definately be using Transcom in future and will recommend to friends and associates to do the same.
