I have recently left Tesco and gone to…

I have recently left Tesco and gone to EE due to the farce I've had over the last six weeks I renewed my contract with Tesco since then I've had a line that keeps dropping and Goes silent for a few seconds repeatedly during phone calls Tesco told me it was a SIM problem so they sent me a new SIM They told me it would arrive in two days two days later no SIM card but they cut my phone off anyway and I was two days without a phone even though I'm disabled and need one all the time once the sim did arrive the fault was still there they told me it was my phone and I needed to replace it so I got rid of a phone which cost me £850 of which I'm still paying £250 only to find the fault was still there when I phoned up to complain they told me the fault wasn't with my phone it was their phone line not only did I get rid of a phone that cost me 850 pound and 75 pound for the insurance only to find out there was nothing wrong with my phone in the first place since then they have supposedly sent me four more Sims of which three of them didn't turn up and one was an e SIM totally incompatible none of these turned up on time either but as usual they cut the phone off assuming that the Royal Mail works to their timetable rather than their own each time my phone was cut off when the sim didn't arrive I ended up spending six days without a working phone I've lodged complaints but they've all been ignored 6 times I've been promised callbacks which never came I've also requested the data subject access files which by law they have to provide on request I've requested that six times and I have ignored me every step of the way so they have cost me £925 because of wrong information they have refused to acknowledge my complaints they have ignored my legal request they have been reported to the mobile ombudsman and the information's Commission office for non-compliance of a legal request( six times )half of people you speak to don't understand English and the ones you do speak to don't give a damn the truth is if Tesco was the only mobile provider on the planet I would be getting rid of my mobile phone altogether they run the company like amateurs and don't care about customer support or relations have untrained people giving advice a and won't even acknowledge legal requests that by ignoring them they're breaking the law have I don't even care about that it used to be that the customer was always right now it seems their motto is the customer is just a mug we can earn money off I've given one star because if I could give less than that I would and the worst thing is when I told Tesco I was leaving they tried to charge me £180as a leaving fee in spite of everything they've cost me which is now with the information commission for the non- compliance of a legal request and once I get notification from them I'm going to contact the Daily Mail newspaper to deal with a company that is either completely incompetent or prejudice against disabled people Even the mobile Ombudsman thought it was an outright joke And are going after them themselves and if Tesco don't return 925 I'm out of pocket and then I promise it will customer hell of a lot more in the end because if I have to drag them through court I will and I will make sure the newspapers are there so it's very public

Return a phone to Tesco Mobile

What a incompetent company
I recently ordered a new phone from tesco mobile I returned the phone 24 hrs later as not required the store at Worcester received the phone on the 9 March on checking my bank account I found that I had been debited £642.65 on speaking to Tesco customer support I was told that the store that I returned the phone to did not inform there head office that it had been returned hence I was charged also told nothing to do with customer services i had to return to the store to sort it out the sales assistant texted Tesco mobile who returned a text (and I quote) I would be credited back to my account within 24 hrs (unquote)
No message was sent to me 24 hrs later no money has been credited back on telephoning tesco customer no response at all
I now find on speaking to my bank that I need to wait up to 15 days before this money is credited back to my account
What a load of unprofessional people Tesco is multi million company yet they cannot rectify a problem that was instigating by them and getting any sensible response is a complete waste of time also I wrote to the CEO a Jonathan Taylor and you guess it no reply
Goes without saying Tesco will not be getting any contracts from me in the future

Awful. Is this really a communications company

They were OK until the new pay as you go Essentials was introduced. Since that time it has become a complete nightmare.
Cannot top up the phone when required.
Had to uninstall the app and reload it to get the app to understand who I was
Found that the phone top up number had been changed but I had not received that information.
Tried to top up via the app but needed to log in.
Cannot log in due to incorrect password. Changed password to the same as previous password and found I could now log in, but the app freezes when payment button pressed.
Supposed to be able to message via the app, but there is no such facility
Tried the chat line - no response

Your call is really important to us... NOT!!!

Getting through to customer services with most companies can be a tedious and frustrating process but Tesco has surpassed itself and taken the frustration levels to a point where it threatens to seriously damage your sanity. I tried to get through to customer services to speak to a human and after a battle of wits with their automated system I was placed into a queue and after a 30 minute wait, the call was finally answered and then the line suddenly went dead, the resulting scream could probably be heard three miles away. I tried again, having to listen to the awful hold music, I finally got to speak to an advisor who was obviously not in a UK call centre which made communication difficult. Ultimately the advice and reassurance I got that the situation with my phone would soon be resolved was totally wrong and the problems still persist.
So to recap, Tesco mobile customer services are shockingly bad and I will taking my custom elsewhere.

Tesco Mobile the Worst provider in the UK.

It is truly amazing how a huge, successful company, like Tesco Mobile, is prepared to destroy itself like it has. They have moved Customer Services in their entirety to South Africa. Now NO ONE can get an answer to a question, get ANYTHING done, or have a polite conversation with a helpful individual, as we did when CS was in Eire/UK. I have gone to EE and I gather anyone with sense is doing the same. Tesco is now a JOKE, unfortunately it is not a funny one.

I'm not amused at all and when possible…

I'm not amused at all and when possible i will be terminating my phone contract between here on trustpilot via the Dalmarnock branch via email and help hub i have submitted 23 comments to date in regards to tech issues and why am I putting out the same billing even though the phone was paid off beginning of the year and I have been met with lies and being stonewalled with silence my last complaint was submitted 13 days ago on Facebook Tesco help page this company is a bunch of scummy low life's

Awful company passed between 3 different people as none of them could sort anything out between them . Went to sky mobile instead took minutes for me and my daughter to get contracts would never try Tesco again

Get rid of call centre in South Africa…

Get rid of call centre in South Africa and bring them back to the UK, if not , considering leaving tesco mobile which I have 5 contracts with , and been a loyal customer for many years .it is a UK based company, I want to speak to UK based customer services

None existent customer service

I tried to contact Tesco mobile customer service as I had a problem trying to log in to my account and made four calls to the help line but got nowhere as I could not pass security questions when I asked to talk to a manager I was not allowed as I failed security. I went to two stores and after a long wait my problem was eventually resolved.
I cannot understand why Tesco advertise 5 star customer service when it is none existant

A Works Occasionally Contract

For the last 24hrs plus, my phone & Internet service at home has been awful. I have phoned Tesco Customer Service 4 times in the last working day and they say the local mast has failed, but can give no timescale on how long it will take to repair. I am almost 70yrs old, have only a mobile with Tesco as my means of communication. Their South African call centre is so robotic and out of touch it's unreal. The very loud background noise there, cuts into the advisors responses, making conversation almost impossible. Only a two out of ten I'm afraid Tesco ☹️

So my daughtet who is a student changed…

So my daughtet who is a student changed her payment date from the 1st to the 15th and they charged her twice. She has been treated terribly from staff and also disconectected on the web chat. I caled but obviously they couldn’t discuss with me. I have never ever known a company to charge double just because of changing the payment date!!

Tesco Mobile insurance scam

Tesco mobile insurance is a waste of money!
I paid an £85 excess charge to replace a faulty phone (the faults were verified by Apple diagnostics) only to receive another faulty phone in its place!!
Trying to return this second faulty phone is a joke- no apology from Tesco- it’s got a 30 day return warranty but instead they want to do their own diagnostics on it ( the screen clicks when texting but they wouldn’t accept what I was saying) I spoke to a person called Cynthia - obviously she reads from a script and couldn’t guarantee that I wouldn’t have to pay another £85 to replace the faulty replacement phone!
Feels like it’s a fraudulent scam they are running and should be investigated officially as I’ve had absolutely no response from Tesco Customer Service and they are just “getting away” with it- taking hard earned money and delivering a sub standard service with very abrupt staff!! Shame on Tesco Mobile Insurance!!

I do not recommend tesco

I lost my phone walking the dog Monday morning, so I put a claim in with tesco mobile protect, was told would be sorted within 24hrs, 24 hrs passed still nothing, I called them apparentley a back log, and I was told 48hrs i would receive an email, 48hrs have passed i have called again and now they saying by 6pm tomorrow, so 96hrs I will have waited for nothing so lets see what tomorrow brings, I asked to speak to soemone but nobody else to speak to apparently

Taken money for club card plus with no permission

I have been with Tesco mobile for many years, I am a good customer, always pay my bills and upgrade with them. As part of my last upgrade I was offered Clubcard plus and sent a code and reminders to sign up for this scheme. At no point did I ever click on this, sign up for it or give Tesco mobile permission to give my bank details to Clubcard. So I am horrified to find that clubcard have been taking £7.99 out of my account for the last few months. Yes I didn’t notice but I have a new baby, I am on maternity leave and horrified that a company I trusted has taken my money for something I would never want. I don’t ever use the shop Tesco or the club card. I haven’t used it in years and years. Even if I did use it i would never want this scheme. The payment was not set up as a direct debit or standing order so I couldn’t cancel it. To cancel you have to call them, I had to hold for long time while carrying a baby to get through to club card. I explained that i did not activate this and there has been a mistake. I was expecting a refund of the money they have taken. To my horror neither club card or Tesco mobile will refund me or even apologise. The customer service is tying me up in knots, they won’t acknowledge that I didn’t sign up for this they just keep repeating that it comes with the upgrade and that I was sent a code to activate it. Surely a company needs written permission to pass on bank details to a different department and take money from you? I’m now spending time that I should be with my baby trying to fight this when as a good customer I should be treated better. Shame on you Tesco for this, if you have taken money without permission you should refund it straight away, otherwise how will a customer ever trust you again? I’ve been told if I want to escalate it needs to be in writing and posted, again just making life difficult and trying to avoid my emails. I am so frustrated, this is not the way to treat people.
