£50 breakage coverage
I got three quotes for removals and selected these guys because they seemed knowledgeable, they were the cheapest and it was a local company. I felt like I got what I paid for.
The removals team was mixed - one guy who did all our packing was great - careful, courteous and happy to have him around. Some of the other guys were not so careful.
On delivery day they damaged my glass Italian Porro drawers - my most expensive item for furniture. It was before COVID but it’s irreparable... they offered me £150. Please be aware they state “ we are only liable up to a maximum of £50 of which I will offer you £150 as a gesture of good will”. So if you have anything expensive, you are covered for £50!!
We found after a few days of moving on that this wasn’t the only damage. All of our cheap IKEA Kallax units were scratched (5 of them). They had been carefully arranged so the scratched sides were next to each other or on the floor so you only saw after they left. Our stainless steel bin was all dented in the top too.
I’ve given two stars because they did move the stuff and they were cheap. But you get what you pay for and treat it like you have no insurance.
I used a different company for the next move!!
