Robb Vet Motherwell 5 stars

Robb Vet Moyherwell. I can honestly say that Mr Robb and team of vets are well worth 5 🌟. Yes it located in an old house, however the care, attention and respect goes without saying for pets. It is clear that staff are dedicated in every way, and put you at ease. Thank you to all the staff at Robb Vet, I would highly recommend this practice. Excellent practice. Please note folks it states The vet review. I was personally reviewing Robb Vet Motherwell & not The vet caption on page. I cannot thank staff enough.

I was always under the understanding…

I was always under the understanding that a vet has "a duty of care to protect an animal", I'm under the Blue Cross due to my current circumstances, my cat Squidge was elderly and not himself at all, I was unable to get an appointment at the blue cross so I called "The Vet" in Morden, I explained my situation and the person on the phone just said "bring him straight down and we'll see him", it was basically an end of life appointment.

The euthanised Squidge then charged me £145.25 for this, take I to consideration that I already explained that I was Blue Cross, I initially scraped together and paid £50 towards it, the lady on reception said that they'd send a letter to recoup the difference, they sent one, and today I received a letter from debt collectors demanding nearly £200!!, spoke to the Morden site who advised me it's a head office thing and to contact them, they would not give me the contact number for their head office and there is no listing for the head office number anywhere, talk about taking people for what they can!!!

Our lovely 16yr old cat Lilly

Our lovely 16yr old cat Lilly, was unwell and put to sleep on Monday 30th September at 2pm. So very sad to lose such a lovely lady. The vet was excellent, explained the procedure and was most understanding of our tears as we said goodbye to our beautiful cat.

The vet Southampton Amazing service at the weekend

Amazing service at the weekend. My dog fell poorly suddenly. My normal vets was closed I called the vet Southampton and got seen straight away. Julia on the desk was amazing with calming me down on the phone as I was upset and the vet Carla was so compassionate and caring. She is now making a full recovery. I will be using you in the future. Thankyou all

Seriously????

Called to make an appointment. Answered fairly quickly to be asked abruptly "is it an emergency". I answered "no" got told I'd be put on hold. After over 5 minutes waiting, with horrific hold music, put down the phone. Everything happens for as a reason as forced to go elsewhere and turns out couldn't be better.

Took my dog in as she had bad breath…

Took my dog in as she had bad breath and was told she needed 9 teeth taken out and was quoted just under £1000. Thank God I got a 2nd opinion. She had some plaque and one tooth that I'm to keep an eye on. Told to brush her teeth. Marked improvement. Saved me £950 and she is doing really well. Absolutely tried to rip me off and leave my girl toothless

My girl cat (1) was spayed with the vet…

My girl cat (1) was spayed with the vet in February and since then the bleeding in her wee the struggling to wee the extreme licking herself the squatting on the floor to bleed/wee the spending half hour trying to use the litter tray to return seconds later and try again has started.... lyla now has Recurring cystist and its triggered by stress or so the vet told me for a very hefty bill however i have given her calming Supplements we have plug ins and specail food calming treats and collars everything i can possibly do to ensure she remains stress free but its still happening shes still really struggling and every time my head goes back to what the vet first said when i mentioned it them " sometimes the operatiom can go wrong or isnt done properly" only to find out it was with them she had to op so quickly was saying that wasnt the case???? So if it were done elsewhere it would be? All i know is my little girl is having issues ever since that op and she was completely fine before hand....

New home visit service

Decided to book in for a home visit, rather than put my cat through the stress of being taken to my registered vet, as she is getting rather old and I feel it’s not a nice thing to have to put her through, the reason for my home visit was that my cat has to have her nails cut on a regular basis, I contacted The Vets Bristol to enquire about this new service, and they booked us in straight away, with know fuss, it was so easy to set up the home visit. On the day of my home visit, I must say how impressed I was, it all went to plan., know stress for my cat, know stress for me . The veteran nurses, were on time, they were friendly, my cat was not bothered at all by them, even the nail cutting was easy. payment was easy on the day of my visit, and it was not expensive. I would highly recommend a home visit. My cat and I can’t thank you enough, for this new stress free home visiting service 🐈 excellent, Thankyou so much ❤️

I called The Vet Southampton for an…

I called The Vet Southampton for an appointment but the call ended up being picked up in Barnsley.. However Debbie the receptionist there was lovely and booked me an appointment in Southampton for this morning.. Excellent and what a lovely lady ♥ I just hope the appointment goes well for my poorly fur baby 🙏

I first went to the vet thinking Luna had an ear infection which they treated her for but didn’t get any better so I went back and thankfully Johan the vet was there and she didn’t have an ear infection at all but a skin allergy after he treated her omg what a difference she is looking and acting like her self again cannot thank him enough l will be booking my appointments with him infuture

Johann The Vet Liverpool


Johann has been our vet for many years and when he moved to The Vet recently we followed him, even though it was a half hour drive from our home. Happy to drive though as he has always been an amazing vet with our animals welfare always paramount.

Unfortunately on the 15th July we had to have our 12 year old dog Hugo put to sleep. We were absolutely devastated and broken hearted losing our boy, we still are 💔
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Johann for making the worst day of our lives a teeny bit better. He was so kind and respectful to our Hugo, he was compassionate with us , letting us stay as long as we wanted to say goodbye to our boy.
No rush ,just kindness and empathy.
Thank you Johann, you’re simply the best!! ❤️

I visited The Vet in Waltham Forest…

I visited The Vet in Waltham Forest with my cat for an emergency. Over the past few days, he had neither eaten nor drunk anything and had been vomiting yellow-green substance on the day he stopped eating. Since then, he has refused all food and water.

The clinic performed initial checks and administered some medication. They informed me that further tests were necessary to determine the cause of his condition. At that time, I could not afford the full cost of the treatment, which included a blood test and IV fluids along with a few hours of hospitalization.

I returned the following day, and the clinic conducted the blood test and administered IV fluids, keeping him at the clinic from 3 PM to 8 PM. I was instructed to return the next day for a final check-up and to remove the IV line. The doctor had assured me that my cat should recover fully, but this did not happen.

My cat's condition has worsened; he is still not eating or drinking and is not using his litter box. I left the clinic in tears, having paid £700 without receiving any definitive diagnosis or improvement in my cat's health. The doctor suggested additional tests, including an abdominal scan, which would cost another £300.

I find this situation extremely frustrating and feel that the clinic has been unhelpful, unable to provide a diagnosis despite the symptoms. My cat is deteriorating, and I am at a loss, devastated and in tears, fearing I will lose him due to their incompetence.

I want to warn others to avoid this clinic and seek the best possible care for their pets. My cat is slowly dying in front of me, and despite the checks and costs, I am still without answers.

Bristol site.

Bristol site.. totally diabolical service. I have insurance for my 8 year old greyhound. I thought I'd have to pay the excess then insurance would take over for the rest. She had to have bloods done but they wanted the full amount first which was £154. Next day she had to have urine test (£40) which I took in at 9.30am. I was told I'd hear by late afternoon. Results were in at 4.15 but I couldn't have them as no vet available. I called them 3 times after for results. Not knowing the result I was stressed tht she might need meds and by them being slack it would hold of any medicine bein given to her. I eventually got the results at 7.40pm. I shouldn't have had to chase them. So much for animal care. I will never use them again. Totally unprofessional, money grabbing with no empathy whatsoever. Avoid at all costs ! If there was a no star rating I would have chose tht

Johann The Vet Liverpool

1 person makes this the ONLY vet I would take my dog to. Johann Senior Vetinary Surgeon. Johann is straight forward, empathetic and considerate to not only the animal but the owner too. Our English Bulldog Vinnie is treated by Johann for a life long condition. Upon diagnosis Johann completed all examinations and tests with ease and came back to us with a firm diagnosis and a plan of what we needed to do in order to help Vinnie. There were no 'money making tactics' from him. We appreciated his direct approach and advice and took his directions. Vinnie is now feeling much better and his condition is kept under control via ongoing medication. If we ever have any problems we take him to see Joahnn straight away knowing that his expertise and kind nature will soon help Vinnie feel better. We recently took Vinnie in for his yearly vaccination and Johann was the vet he saw. Again another no fuss, no money making gimmick appointment and he knew his stuff!! I would recommend Johann as a vet to anyone. As I said before he is the ONLY reason I take my dog to The Vet Liverpool. Thank you Johann x

The Vet - Liverpool

On 18th April 2023, I paid a deposit of £132.50 for my dog to be spayed on 4th May 2023. I took my dog in at 09:00 AM on 4th May to be told she was not on the system and was not booked in - I was then told to leave her there and they will see if a surgeon would be happy to do it, which they were.

When I went to pick her up at 15:00, I paid the rest of the payment in cash for the spaying to the lady on reception who was training a staff member at the time and advised us our account was £0.00.

2/3 Months later, we received a letter with two outstanding balances, one for the spaying and one for medication.

I sent them the screenshot of the card payment for the medication and was advised a manager would be looking into the cash payment, I had to call up at least twice a week for an update to be constantly getting told a manager was not available.

A manager named Joanne called to say she would be dealing with it and asked me to send the email again with the screenshot which I did, she then called again saying it had not been received (I had sent this 4 times now) we had an emergency last month were my dog was really sick and they refused to see her as the account was on hold due to the outstanding balances which was, the Vet's fault.

The service has been unbelievably shocking and one I would not recommend to anyone.

I made a formal complaint in October 2023 and to this day, have not received a response.

Money grabbers with no loyalty…

Money grabbers with no loyalty whatsoever.

After being a loyal customer for 9 years with 5 pets, I recently had twins and lost my job, which resulted in a single missed payment, of which I contacted them and said I’d be able to pay at the end of the month. Within 2 weeks they had sent this off to the debt collectors (bearing in mind it was a missed payment for the pet plan, not anything else) I emailed to ask why and was got told it’s standard. So it’s a little confusing that when I initially got in contact and they told me it’s fine, why I’m a little Suprised. The customer care manager (laughable title) couldn’t even get my name correct when telling me tough it’s just how they do things. The thousands and thousands of pounds I’ve spent there over the passed 9 years, I thought I’d have got a pardon for one missed payment which I already arranged to pay before being palmed off to a debt collection agency!

Massive delay in processing insurance claims

If you want your insurance claim dealt with promptly don’t take your pet to The Vet - they take weeks to process claims and as you have to pay their fees up front it probably is not priority for them.

So not only do you pay high monthly insurance premiums, especially if you have an older pet - you also have to pay up front for treatment and wait weeks to have your claim processed.

Unprofessional staff
No interest in the care of pets.
We took our dog in for a procedure at 9am we was then then the dog will be ok to collect 2pm ish we got a call at 1.30pm to say she can't have it done now as there had been and emergency.
So we was paying £1500 today for a procedure and recovery that lasts 30mins!!!!!!
On top of this the staff have been lying to there complaints team, head office about what was said on a phone call to us.
I have been charged £50 for blood work and no operation
This is a joke
Things need to change.

We had to have my pet put to sleep as her health was deterating and there was nothing else we could do .on arrival we was put I. a room were the vettook my dog to another room to put a canoly in her leg.no one explained how it worked and we was to upset to ask we thought she's a vet they do this all the time.then a receieptioniat camd in sating how sorry she was and saying while my dog was there are you having her cremated and that we wouldn't get her ashes back I couldn't believe it we wasn't having my dog cremated there we was going to a pet cemetery. It was not her business to be asking us as we was deferstated and just wanted this time with our dog and I know they say digs can't understand but my dog knew what was happening. Then the vet fetched my lovely dog back put her on my lap never explained again what was going to happen and then with out letting us know pushed the liquid in and I thought my dog had been shot boom she fell like z rag dool on my lap and she was gone.I can't get that last image out of my head it was the worst thing I've had to do .I thought they would have put her sleep calmly. There was a nurse there who was the only that showed emotion and helped clean my baby all I gave know is a void and a broken heart. Please make sure people know what the process is and nobody else in the room except family were are grieving we have lost a pet who is family and cerished and loved have a bit off empathy .

no care for animals just profit

I recently went to the vet for pets at 21 23 Kings Rd Sutton Coldfield to show them a video of my dog a pug that I believe has kennel cough the reason why I didn't take her is that the last time she went there was for her course of injections that I paid upfront for when she was a pup that cost over £100, however, she only had 3 injections as the vet refused to give her the fourth one unless she was sudated as she hated going to the vets she was stressed out and would take days to recover I said so you want to give her an injection so that you can give her an injection he replied possibly yes which I felt would stress her out even more so we could not complete the course however today I asked them to view a recording my dog that i think has kennel cough the secretaries refused without even consulting the vet and said no the vet needs to exam the dog I told her I don't have a problem with paying for a vet to look at the recording exslained what had happened last time but she said the vet needs to look at the dog just incase something else is wrong I know for a fact this is possible as my daughter showed a recording of her dog that is a staff as at the time she had no way of getting the dog there the vet looked at the recording made a diagnoses then they went and paid when they collected the medication so it is obvious its because they could charge more for the vet to look at the dog I would have understood it if the vet looked at the video then said they need to see the dog so just like the injections I had already paid for they found another way of making a charge up I.E to sudate the dog to complete the prepaid service
