As an educator with 37 years’ experience in mainstream education, my experience of the private tuition sector has, in my view, been something of an eye-opener.

In my dealings with The Tutors’ Association, I have at times been disappointed by what I have perceived to be a lack of the professionalism, accountability and educational standards that I have typically regarded as fundamental in schools.

My experiences have reinforced my view that teaching is a profession requiring appropriate training, expertise and high ethical standards. While there are undoubtedly many capable tutors, I would suggest that parents consider carefully the qualifications and experience of individuals, particularly where there is no recognised teaching qualification or substantial classroom background.

Based on my own interactions, The Tutors’ Association has not, in my experience, inspired the level of confidence I had anticipated from a professional body representing the tutoring sector.

As a parent, I am compelled to express my heartfelt appreciation for The Tutors' Association. Their commitment to providing a platform for parents and tutors to connect is truly commendable. If you're in search of a tutor, I wholeheartedly recommend seeking out a member of The Tutors' Association. Their service has been nothing short of exceptional – swift, highly professional, and incredibly supportive during a time when I needed it the most.

Through their efforts, they have effectively contributed to the establishment of a safer and more transparent environment for both parents and tutors. Their unwavering dedication to education and advocacy is truly praiseworthy.

The Tutors' Association does an incredibly valuable job in raising the professional status of the tutoring profession. The Tutors’ Association has been a godsend for me and my company. The resources, information, training have all help my company and me, develop and grow. The conferences I attend is great in meeting like minded individuals and the webinars are great in learning tips and techniques. I fully recommend that anyone who tutors to be a member.
