Excellent job, turned up earlier than expected which suited me fine, spent roughly 2.5 hours cleaning and detailing then applying the ceramic finish, looks like glass now, very pleased great job guys, I will be booking you again !

I booked a full interior valet with The Smart Wash Car Cleaners in April 2025, paying £135 for what I was told would be a deep clean that included mould removal and odour elimination. Unfortunately, the service I received fell far short of what was promised.

The technician came out and initially missed several obvious areas, including mould on the visors and other parts of the interior. When I pointed these out, he returned to clean the visibly missed spots but not to address the persistent damp smell, which was my main concern from the beginning. The cause of the smell had already been explained: the windows had been left open during heavy rain last year, and the car sat unused for some time, resulting in a musty interior. There was no leak, as he wrongly assumed.

Instead of shampooing the seats properly, he vacuumed them and then used a very strong-smelling chemical to fumigate the car. This overpowering scent temporarily masked the damp odour but did not eliminate it. Once the chemical smell faded after a few days, the unpleasant damp smell returned, clearly showing that the core issue had not been resolved.

Despite sending follow-up messages and photos showing that mould remained and the smell persisted, I was made to feel as though I wasn’t being believed. I was promised a further follow-up, but no one ever got back to me. It was only after I mentioned reversing the payment through my bank and leaving a negative review that I received any response at all.

To make matters worse, even basic areas like the inside of the front windscreen were not cleaned. For a service that cost £135, this was deeply disappointing. I paid for a thorough and professional clean and instead received rushed, surface-level work and poor aftercare. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a genuine solution to mould or damp smells inside a car.

I paid my deposit and explained about the parking on my street.
The engineer rang half an hour after the booking time - said he’d done two jobs that morning and was delayed. He didn’t seem to know where I was. Said the traffic was bad ( surprise- this is London)
Arrived half an hour later and said he’d done two jobs earlier. didn’t have water. He put me on to the office. He might be able to start but it would be at least 2 hours after the agreed time. Could I reschedule.?Not aware that I had written nor that I had told them where the car would be parked
Well practiced at apologising and I am promised return of my deposit. But this car washing company in my experience just doesn’t deliver

Uzia turned up on time and was very courteous and polite. He worked very hard for 3.5 hours and at the end the car looked showroom fresh, inside and out. I would not hesitate to use this company again and gladly recommend it. The price charged for the time spent was very reasonable. considering he used his own water and electicity from the van he came in.

Excellent service.. responded really quickly to my enquiry and turned up promptly the next day to undertake the detailing and I am blown away at how good of a job Yzair did… the car is immaculate, don’t hesitate to book them you won’t regret it!

The car wasn’t cleaned that well at all, would have probably got just as good a clean for £20 at local car wash, I wouldn’t waste your money, the wheels were left really dirty and windows were all smeared and some of the body work was missed, they did offer to come and clean the wheels but never replied to my response

Booked a full detail with the guys, friendly staff and did a great job on the car bringing it back to life. Pointed out some rust under the car which was helpful as the car was purchased recently & the dealership will be taking care of that now, without SmartWash we wouldn’t have even known about this.

Avoid at all cost, payed for full valet and machine polish, company arrived, Young lad didn’t have a clue what he was doing, then another member of staff arrived and started doing my car, took 6 hours for them to literally destroy my paint work, they completed the car in the dark so I couldn’t see any damage until next day, smoking fags next to the cars while polishing, woke up next day to check car and my god the car is completely ruined, I call up and same man arrives at my work place, to rectify problems and again made it worse, this time doing in a dusty environment and without washing car again starts polishing, I come out to check on my car and the gent who was doing (the owner) of said company said I can’t get this to get any better, yu need the car sanded down and re done, ask for my money back which after 2 hours he sent back, but I now need to get my car resprayed, as there is multiple spots on the car where he has gone through the lacquer, I asked for the company insurance details and is refusing to give them to me, I will be taking this company to trading standards for the company to fix my car

Complete Rip-Off – Stay Far Away.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is an absolute scam. I booked them for a deep clean because my car had a lot of dog hair and a strange smell. They charged me £255 after constantly upselling extra services—pet hair removal, exterior cleaning, engine bay cleaning, and mold removal. For that price, I expected a spotless, fresh-smelling interior. Instead, I got a half-done job that left my car barely looking any different.

Plastics weren’t even wiped down.

Seats were left soaking wet.

Mold was still on the headrests even after they came back a second time!

After complaining, they agreed to send the guy back to fix it. Since I was at work, my brother was there to check it—but he wasnt able to inspect it properly. Now they’re using that as an excuse to refuse my request for a partial refund on the interior. Instead, they offered me a pathetic 15% refund—but only on the interior and mold removal, not the full £255 I paid.

For the price they charge, this level of service is unacceptable. They take your money, do a rushed, sloppy job, and then refuse to take responsibility when you call them out on it. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to waste your time and money.

I dont think my car has ever been so clean. Very friendly guy and he did a great job.

Good things: friendly staff, car looks clean, professional intro/close of service, easy payment option.

Odd things: arrival of second staff member part way through who didn’t speak English; seemed he ended up doing most of the legwork.

Bad things: (1) moved appointment from morning to afternoon and then arrived 40mins late with no heads up, (2) couldn’t top up tyre pressure for whatever reason and offered 10% discount which didn’t actually cover the cost of 5£/tyre, (3) smelt of damp inside more than any clean/fresh smell,& took some airing out and drying to improve, (4) limited attention to detail e.g wet windows inside after job rather than dried, meaning water marks remained. On 3&4, this wasn’t immediately obvious on completion as it had gotten dark.

All in all, I was left with impression of an amateur but well-meaning service, which comes at slightly more cost effective option than alternatives. And I hope the feedback helps to improve!

Trust me avoid this cowboys service seriously or you might nit have a car I got engine bay clean the guy flooded my whole engine and tried to say it was my car seriously do at BIG RISK why would I get a bay clean if my car wouldn't start make it make sense mate don't pass the blame it was your shit company

I've just had the inside of my car cleaned and what a fantastic job he done.
I use my car for work so I've got muddy clothes and boots, it was bad now it's showroom condition I'm well pleased,i will be using them again thank you

Amazing service, the inside of my car was covered in mould after not driving it for a couple of months and tbh I thought it was a goner but Asif did the most incredible job cleaning it. My car looks good as new and smells amazing too. Cant recommend enough!

Asif came and cleaned my Audi today and did a fab job! He was super friendly, explained what he’d done and it was a great price. Will definitely use again!

First time used this company - will be using again. Mairah was my operative. She kept me fully informed as to her arrival even when she encountered heavy traffic. When she did arrive she got straight to work and result was a beautifully shiny clean Sky - name of my car. We had been on holiday in the country so you can imagine the mud etc - not a trace of it now. I will ask for her again.
