Laura ter Kuile did an amazing job repair my knitwear that eaten by moths and a leather jacket that had ripped. I really appreciated how quick the repairs were done. I am so happy I can wear these pieces again.

Paola Zappulla did an amazing job on my trainers and stitching where the stitching had come loose. A really good job with very good service and great communication along the way. far better to fix than throw away snd I would use this company again because it was excellent

Selina Latour let her artistry run free with some spectacular, unique, refined and practical fixes to a favourite Icelandic jumper to allow it another 30years of abuse. A really pleased customer at this end, thank you so much for your courteous attentions! I have two more which will no doubt need some tlc at some point in the future so I hope to be in touch then. I’m sure if the service received was great that it would be worth 5 stars, but - as another complainant on here has said - should anything go wrong, or the service be sub par, then the customer service is appalling. I had the misfortune of sending my dresses to someone who missed fixing a hem, poorly fixed a tear so it was still visible and looked ‘botched’, and returned the third dress with the tear still in it. I was overcharged (nominally as she couldn’t seem to calculate VAT), and then asked to collect goods when I’d already paid postage. All in all a poor experience. When I wrote to customer services to ask for a refund on the dress that had been sent back unfixed they told me to just speak to the fixer. I’m not throwing good money after bad to send the dress back. Despite follow-ups, my emails are ignored. I just want a refund. I would never use this company again and nor would I recommend it. Just go to a local place where they can help.

Sooooo happy to have found The Seam and the great women that work at the Westfield branch in Stratford, they are kind and attentive and reassured me on how everything was going to get fixed/altered etc and the job was excellent. Very happy 😊

My best discovery of the past two years. I’ve returned many times over for the flawless service. Just makes life easier. It’s endlessly useful to everyone, but if you’re short in height and everything is too long, The Seam is an absolute must.

Fast responses, easy to contact, great communication, really clear pricing and options on quotes, and brilliant repair work. The Seam have repaired and restored two bags and a pair of jeans for me this year, and I'm loving being able to use them all again.

Nicole Akong did a brilliant repair job on my very fine knit cashmere jumper which had several moth holes. In fact she discovered quite a few more holes than the 4 I had found - and communicated well with me to show me the additional holes and to propose variously priced options for dealing with them. I’m very impressed and would heartily recommend the seam & Nicole. A delight to deal with.

I LOVE The Seam ! This time I used Sandra based in Blackheath to mend a pair of Roland Mouret trousers which had a hole in the seam. Not only did she repair them super fast she also did an amazing job - you can hardly see the repair. This is such a good company and I only have had great experiences from handbag repairs to dress alterations. Highly recommend!

Katarina Mootich fixed two of my leather designer bags. She was quick to reply, reasonably priced and returned the items earlier than expected. The craftsmanship is high quality, you can’t even tell the bags needed repair. Will use her again!

Tamsin Lines has done an excellent job on 2 costs with moth holes. Everything was so easy to do and the payment system was very straightforward. Sent the coats on Monday afternoon and were returned to me Thursday morning. Thank you for an excellent job.

I have used The Seam to have several items repaired or altered over the last couple of years and every time I have had excellent service and brilliant quality workmanship. I would definitely recommend. While not the cheapest, it’s worth it to see a loved item restored and stop it ending up in landfill!

I requested a quote for repair of a cashmere cardigan that had a few moth holes. A quote was sent through promptly the next working day. I had a vintage waxed Burberry jacket of my moms that a puppy chewed though the sleeves and a few other visible areas including the pockets. It took me nearly two years to find somewhere that would be able to take it in for repairs and also rewax it.
I was matched with Camila who went above and beyond to restore the jacket back to its former glory and sent it back right on time for me to give it to my mom as an early Christmas present. My mom is so thrilled to have it back in her jacket rotation and said it’s her favorite gift.
