I’ve had a wonderful experience with the Perfume shop , Reading . I met this young woman Alexia who guided me through all the new collection as well as some of the recommendations which I personally asked for . I’ve to fly home tomorrow and wanted to buy some gifts to my fam back home in Kerala, India . I came to the Perfume Shop and found perfect ones . They even had chocolates with them so that I could treat my nephews and nieces. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience .

Once again, a wholesome experience. This is our 2nd visit to ‘THE PERFUME SHOP’ Reading store. We were suggested the right perfume again that matches our smell notes. As always, the staff here are very empathetic and kind regardless of whether you make business with them or not. This time Kevin assisted us with the selection and he made our day with kind customer service and it means a lot. We would definitely come here again.

I visited the shop yesterday the 6th June with my husband to buy a father's Day gift. It was from my daughter and myself and we purchased the Dior Sausage Parfum 100ml. The sales lady seemed to be in a hurry asked what we were looking for and when we asked for Sauvage she just gave us a sealed bottle eau de parfume and said its on offer for about £90, but I wanted the stronger one (parfum) so she then brought us the Sauvage parfum and immediately started the bill. I then asked for us to spray it as we wanted to be sure, she hesitated and sprayed the tester for us. My husband confirmed it was the one he wanted. While she did the bill I asked her for the offer which I seen online saying a complimentary gift of a 10ml sauvage eau de parfum and a 20ml sauvage shower gel in the mid night blue gift box for the perfume which we paid £117 for a 100ml. She said we don't get a gift but she will give us a sample which was a dior ladies one.
We also had a members card which she gave a candle for it.
She seemed in a hurry through the whole process and didn't take time with the customer. On leaving I also mentioned this was an easy sale as she finished the transaction in less than 10 minutes.
Our question is why wasn't the gift given when it was mentioned online and it says for store bought to?
Or perhaps the sales team is not aware of the promotions?
Please look into to this and update or do not promote when it's not available.
I would have got a better offer in another store.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, and I am sincerely sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations. I completely understand how disappointing this must have been, particularly as you were purchasing a special Father's Day gift for your husband from both yourself and your daughter.
I am sorry that you felt the service was rushed and that you did not receive the level of care and attention you would expect during your visit. We always want our customers to feel supported when choosing a fragrance, especially when selecting between different concentrations such as Eau de Parfum and Parfum.
With regards to the complimentary Dior gift, these promotions are subject to availability whilst stocks last. If the gift was no longer available in store at the time of your purchase, this would be why the team were unable to provide it and instead offered an alternative sample. Please be assured that our store teams are kept informed of current promotions. Where possible, if there are any remaining promotional gifts (GWP) available from old promotions, we will always try to accommodate this, however this cannot be guaranteed once stock has been fully allocated.
I do appreciate that this will be disappointing, particularly when you had seen the promotion advertised, and I am very sorry that your experience left you feeling this way. Thank you again for your feedback, as it is invaluable in helping us improve the service we provide to our customers.
