Easily one of the best services I've had in a long while. Nothing was to much trouble.

Goods tuned up, on-time and in excellent condition. To top it off, with a quick email and phone call we managed to get the goods upgraded to a pre-noon service.

1st time i have ordered from this company, my order arrived with wrong items.i used the contact us on web site but never got reply,i phoned them it seems they never recived my messages probably some glitch in the system.after i sent photos of the wrong order they very quickly contacted me to let me know the items i ordered would be sent on next day and apologised for the mistake.i am very happy with the service i recived and would recomend to anyone needing metals, quite a refreshing change to find a company who deals with problems in such a timely and professional way, not to mention there prices are the best ive found too.

I bought the Freestanding Adjustable Workout Tower and was surprised how much 'flex' there was in the 2.5m uprights, when doing pull ups. The whole structure was not rigid enough. I am well under the 125kg recommended max user weight. I wanted more rigidity than this freestanding tower has, so I had to buy some extra lengths of tube, 90 degree offset clamps and wall mounts to connect the top of the uprights to the wall behind the tower. It is solid now, but obviously not freestanding anymore. I probably would not buy this Workout Tower again, I'd go for a bespoke tube and clamp design based on a triangle shape. After buying the extra metal I reckon the cost of this option would be similar with a better result.

When placing the order I was not in any way made aware of the order being split into different deliveries and in fact J***s confirmed that the complete order would be delivered today, 28th February.

On receipt of the first part of delivery I asked the gentleman delivering, when the balance of the order will be delivered but he was quite dismissive and was not helpful.

All very well referring paying customers to T's & C'S but if it is not made clear when ordering that is misleading and not honest.

Ordered a large amount of steel to make Yew arches for a show garden, half arrived, left a review saying looking forward to getting the rest 3 stars. Next day received a call because of the 3 star and they apologised that there had been a delivery problem and would sort it immediately. Weeks on still no metal, client has now said I wouldn't be getting further work. Am trying to cancel the order now

Metal delivered to spec in secure packaging to stop bending, at a good price and at the requested date. Would order through them again.

Both calls were answered immediately by friendly and knowledgeable members of staff who clearly pride themselves on providing high levels of service.

Most importantly, the order arrived on time.

Made a small order and by mistake chose the wrong diameter tubing for the corresponding clamps. Emailed and was told it would be amended but unfortunately the wrong tube was delivered. Emailed back and replacement sent straight away at no cost

Purchased stainless sheet for large splashback- good competitive price and then free next day delivery - wicked! When arrived it was superbly packed and in fact took ages to unwrap.

Ordered the monkey bars. Items arrived quickly, well packaged and the instructions were clear. The product itself was solidly built and easy to assemble. Would definitely recommend them.

Ps delivery and goods are excellent and the packaging is second to none.

Never used these guys before but having had sheet steel delivered by other companies I expected some damage to the edges, so was quite surprised to see my 2000x500-0.8 mild steel sheet turn up sandwiched between to sheets of cardboard with moulded cardboard edges all the way round and a length of 3x2 timber as support brace to protect it. I never asked for next day delivery or expected it but it turn up in less than 24hrs so 5 stars from me...thanks

I used this company in the past for fairly large Comercial projects. On this occation it was for a my own house. After the items arrived I discovered that I needed 5 more small fittings, The delivery was much more than the cost of the fittings, I asked them to send them by Royal Mail as it would be much cheaper for a small packet. They refused , saying that they dont use Royal Mail ..... the origional fittings were delivered by Royal Mail !!! Will be useing a different company from now on.

Fantastic service. Next day delivery. Ordered a pole and fitting to make a washing line - just perfect for what I want. Delivery price was very good. Would definitely use this company again. Kept updated with texts/emails. 5* service.

As an amateur fabricator, I use two principal UK suppliers of metal materials, one being The Metal Store. They have a fabulous, comprehensive range of stock, most of which is very competitively priced. The website is good. Ordering is straightforward. I particularly like the unlimited cuts option. I also appreciate the option to choose a delivery date. So far they've never missed this. Email communication and courier updates are also good.

processing of my order was quick and efficient and the pricing was very competitive.

I can only speak for my order & delivery and the service was 100% materials were spot on all cut to size saving me time, the goods arrived 3 days early as I ticket the box for earlier delivery if possible.

I read the negative reviews before ordering and as most appeared to be customer errors or couriers I decided to try the Metal Store and could not have had a better service.

I buy online daily and know that most if not all couriers are not at their best at the moment and make allowances for this.
But they all come up trumps this time.

Reasonable prices and good quality stock. Do bare in mind that they use a questionable courier so there could be issues with delivery. I know what happens with the parcel is out of ther hands once they've shipped it, but they must be aware that the service they're using is problematic. It arrived eventually though.
