I feel the Light Phone Company have really let themselves and more importantly their customers down. I purchased the Light Phone three over six months ago and still no phone, when I got an update from the company that my phone will be further delayed until February I decided to ask for a refund. It’s been two weeks since I asked for a refund and still nothing! Please find a direct quote from customer service: “ Due to the high number of cancellations, it will take longer than usual to process”
I think this response speaks for itself.

Very disappointing experience. As a result I have purchased the Mudita Kompakt phone - a completely opposite experience from that of the Light Phone Company

I've purchased both the LightPhone II and the LightPhone III and I've had good and bad experiences with both of them, but the folks at Light are so committed to improving the experience over time, you can tell they really believe in their product. The customer support folks have also treated me exceptionally well.

I would give 0 stars but its not possible.
I receive emails from a stated Gemini which is a real site/firm. However checking into the email, headers and raw content, it's from "thelightphone.com"

So for me, it's a scam email. Whether thelightphone.com know their web site/name is being used or mentioned I don't know but for me its a scam.

I’ve loved the idea of the Light Phone, but customer service has been really disappointing. I lost my SIM card and have been trying to recover my number for over a month with no response. (7/5/2025) I purchased a new SIM and ran into issues during setup, and now I’m afraid I’ll lose the number permanently—along with all the contacts and accounts tied to it. I’ve emailed multiple times and haven’t heard anything. I hope someone sees this and reaches out.

I ordered a Light Phone II (International) and a case on Sat 11th of this month. It arrived today, Wed 15th. Very fast delivery considering that I'm in Scotland, and they ship from New Jersey, USA. The phone is amazing if you are looking to simplify your life a little and use a smartphone less. The "tools" are great, and very well thought out. The dashboard that you use to update your Light Phone is also very easy to use, and everything just works. I managed to sync all my contacts via iCloud, and add my Google calendar within minutes of unboxing. The phone also has a tethering function allowing you to access the internet on other devices via the Light Phone's connection, through WiFi - it is not the fastest but it's OK, and for example I was able to stream 1080p videos on YouTube without any problems at all. 4K worked most of the time but the connection was just a touch too slow for that. Anyway, I have put my Samsung S23 on eBay. This phone as far as a basic phone goes is quite expensive, but I would say it is worth the money.

The phone is extremely sub par. It reads like a 150 year old Kindle. I am very disappointed. They do not accept returns. I've wanted a Light Phone for over a year.
