Very pleased with the two back to school letterbox chocolate gifts that I sent to my grandsons...they loved them too! Ordering was straightforward except for one problem... reason for 4 stars not 5 ...I ordered two different boxes but there was only one message box provided. Obviously I wanted to write different messages for each grandson! To get around this problem I had to do two separate orders (bit of a faff!) Delivery was good, gifts were well received and apart from the one small ordering issue I would recommend The Happiness Box.

I’ve just received my happiness box and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I’m even too embarrassed to give the present to my husband who I brought it for. It’s a lot smaller that I expected and I cannot believe you actually charge £14.99 for this item, what an absolute waste of my money I could have done a better box myself, the chocolates that are in the box wouldn’t even add up to just over a fiver complete waste of money and def won’t be ordering anything like this again

Disappointing
I ordered this as as a gift on the 4th July and it still hasn’t arrived, it’s now the 13th July. The tracking service is useless and customer service still hasn’t gotten back to me. This is so disappointing as it was for a a gift for a colleague who is unwell.

We're really sorry to hear you're disappointed — especially as this was a gift for a colleague who’s unwell.
Your order was placed at 5pm on Friday 4th July. As stated on our Despatch & Delivery page, orders placed after 1pm are despatched the day after the next working day. In this case, that was Tuesday 8th July.
Royal Mail’s Standard delivery takes 2–4 working days, so your parcel is due to arrive between Thursday 10th and Monday 14th July.
Apologies if you haven’t had a reply yet — we’re currently very busy but working hard to respond to everyone.
For future gifts needed quickly, we recommend selecting 1st Class or Tracked 24 delivery at checkout.
Please let us know if your parcel doesn’t arrive by Monday 14th, and we’ll look into it for you.

Rapid service but incomplete
Rapid service, reasonable price.
But....the message I wrote in the order was not included in the package.
Hence my mother had no idea who sent the gift.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I'm really glad you were happy with our rapid service and pricing.
I'm sorry to hear that your mother didn’t see the message included with the gift. I just want to reassure you that the note you wrote was printed and placed inside the box, as part of our standard process, I personally did this one myself. On rare occasions, we’ve found that if the box is opened from the side rather than the front pull-tab, the message inside can be missed as the chocolates are removed.
Would it be possible for your mother to double-check the box? If she could send over a quick picture, I’d be happy to confirm where the message should be and help resolve things.
I completely understand how important it is that a gift feels personal, and I’d love to make this right for you both.

I'm really sorry to hear that your recipient had to pay to receive their gift and that it arrived later than expected — I completely understand how frustrating that must have been.
I’d like to reassure you that the correct postage was applied when your order was sent, and I’ve been in contact with Royal Mail to try and understand where the error occurred. Unfortunately, I’ve yet to receive a response from them, which has made resolving this even more challenging.
I’ve been in touch with you directly to try and work through this, but I appreciate that you're understandably upset. While this situation appears to be due to a Royal Mail mishandling rather than an error on our part, I’m still doing everything I can to investigate and find a fair resolution.
I truly value every customer and take all feedback seriously. I’m sorry this experience didn’t meet expectations, but please know I’m doing my best to make things right.

On the whole, I was happy with my choice. Although I ordered, in what I thought was good time, unfortunately the order didn't arrive on Mother's day. Perhaps it was the postal system that was slow.
