Superb service
Sent in a few old rings that I no longer wanted , that I honestly thought might raise about £50 if I was lucky. Returned the pack yesterday late afternoon and at 14:00 today received a text stating over £172 would be in my bank account within 60 minutes. 20 minutes later the funds were there. Great service, happy customers
We sent a mixed bag of "gold" jewellery to them on 26 August and within a couple of days they contacted us to say that as some of it had no hallmark they were sending it to Head Office for checking. A couple of days later they phoned to give an offer price for the jewellery, which we were very happy to accept and within a couple of hours the money was in our bank.
We were totally delighted with the service we received and hope to be able to use The Gold Company gain.

There was a slight delay in responding to my text query about what I should include in the parcel but I posted it yesterday and had a phone call today with the valuation. The funds were in my bank account within a few minutes and it was more than I expected for what was old and broken jewellery and watches that were never used. Thoroughly recommend.

Good Experience
I had a few pieces to sell they sent me an insured envelope I sent it off and within 48 hrs I recieved an offer and it was paid within 24hrs so I had a really good experience .

Not the service as advertised
I contacted The Gold Company (TGC) after hearing an advert on the radio. Instructions and return envelope arrived the next day. I sent the items via the Post Office and received proof of return. TGC advise that they will contact you with a valuation, 24 hours after receiving your items. I have now waited a full week and heard nothing. I have phoned all of the numbers provided and also contacted the company the jewellery was signed for by. They have stated that I have to deal with TGC directly and that they will contact them to get in touch with me. Not a word from them. Not sure where to go from here, but, please, DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY.

Waiting on item being returned
I sent my item off in the free requested gold pack. They said they cant give me an offer without giving a reason. Still waiting on item being returned, they give me no information of when my item would be returned, when I try to contact them there was no answer, and I tried a lot to get through to them. Csnt find an email to get in contact iether. I would like to no were my item is and why I haven't received it yet also why is there such a lack of communication? i dont recommend using this company, mainly because of the lack of communication, and basically impossible to get in touch with. I hope I here a response soon or my item returned by the end if the week or I will be taking things to the next stage!

Best company too sell your jewellery.
After sending my jewellery away in the prepaid envelope,I got a quick response by phone.I was also very pleased with the valuation for my jewellery which I accepted. And I am very happy with the company in full and will pass on info too friends and family so they can use if needed.

Selling package came quickly but no response when I sent it back. Kept tracking number, contacted the company the day after it was delivered, 2 days after delivered and then 5 days after and never received a response.
Update: after leaving my original review, I was contacted by the company stating messages weren't getting through. I'm not sure I believe that, but after agreeing to the price they offered, the money was in my acct by the next day. Also did a selling pack through "Don't Sit On It" with no trouble, but they seem to be the same company(?), which just seems a bit dodgy. So ultimately a good result in my case, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them

Tracking says items were received…
Tracking says they received my items Friday morning (01/08/25) i have not had any sort of update, and I cannot get hold of them to find out what is going on, i have tried calling, does not go through, i have sent texts and emails and still absolutely nothing, it is now tuesday 05/08/2025 and i have had no communication from them at all, which is making me really anxious.

I ordered my parcel, it arrived. I filled it with unwanted items & a few days later got a call. They made me an offer, explaining about certain items, which I accepted. The money was in my account within a matter of minutes.
