I recently completed the Remote Sales Advisor Training with The Empath Closing School, and I can honestly say this has been a game-changer for my career.

With 15 years in sales, I thought I’d seen it all — but discovering the world of Remote High-Ticket Closing opened up a whole new dimension I didn’t even know existed. I found the Empath Closing School through Facebook, and instantly, the advert resonated with my life situation. I booked a discovery call with Lara, and after a conversation that lasted about 60 minutes, I was convinced that entering the world of Empathic Closing and High Ticket Sales was meant for me. Lara made no promises save one: If I put in the work, the outcome was assured. For the next 3 months, I worked my way through the online training platform, attended the live training sessions and made sure that I had role-play practice booked with my fellow students every day. I found myself certified and moving onto the next step of my journey. Within 3 days of certifying, Lara presented me with 3 opportunities from the school's network of preferred partner companies. All of which she felt would be a good fit for me. I had to interview for all of the positions, which Lara and the school helped prepare me for, and following that preparation, I was fortunate enough to receive offers from all three companies. One of these companies was the school itself. They needed well-trained closers, and after seeing my progress through the training, Lara and James offered me a shot at closing for them. I took it. It was a great first rodeo in the world of high-ticket sales. In the last 5 months, I closed 72K of sales, using the empathic and compassionate method that I have been trained in. Now, I am moving on to the next step in my career and looking at new opportunities. Lara and the team are graciously helping me with that, too. Providing all students with training on how to best position themselves as closers in the market alongside 1 on 1 sessions to help refine resumes, LinkedIn profiles and recommending opportunities. I would say that this career is not for everyone. Action breeds results, so you have to be willing to work. It takes time, but so does a college degree, and all you get at the end of that is a big chunk of debt. It's unrealistic to believe that you will be earning 5-10k in your first month (though not impossible), but within your first year, 5-10k is very realistic if you do the work. The program is billed this way. I have worked for ECS as a closer, and I would not have done so if it compromised my morals and values. That's not to say everything is perfect, but what business is? At the end of the day, I paid 4k to train and certify as a high ticket closer, I have 3 job offers within a week of certifying, and I have consistently earnt commissions of 2k - 5k since starting my new career, if I want to earn more I can...it's completely down to me and the effort I am willing to put in. Now, I have experience and will only move up the ladder. I had a failing business before this career move and was facing having to go home and give up my dream of living abroad as an expat. This changed everything for me, so what more can I say?

After working as an engineer for over 15 years and then setting up my business teaching English at home while my daughter was growing up, I was looking for an opportunity to transition into working online to gain location freedom, but still remain independent.

I decided to train as a Remote Advisor / Closer with the Empath Closing School as I was enthusiastic about learning a new skill, especially directly from someone who has been doing the job for a good number of years.

The training course Lara has built is excellent. It's a benchmark for what I would expect from a high-ticket offer. I can now understand why it's worth investing in a higher ticket program to really reach your objective. The course is extremely complete and therefore you need to spend an appropriate amount of time to complete it, obviously depending on how quickly you want to get through. A real plus is the opportunity to practise a lot in a very supportive community and also the detailed personalised feedback from Lara on practise calls at key stages of the training. There are also Q and A sessions and extra training themes on group live calls with Lara.

I've now completed the training successfully, and have the choice of applying for closing positions myself, or working on an offer with one of the ECS partners. I've chosen to work with one of the partners as I really appreciate the direct and constructive way of working of this company.

There is unfortunately some negativity in some of these posts, but there are people who simply love nothing more than posting their negative thoughts, with absolutely no understanding or direct first hand experiences of what they are commenting on. Have any actually completed the training, have any felt the support and encouragement that is the basis of this most amazing school for personal transformation. Have any felt the support given after Certifying, being shown how and where to apply for employment as freelancers. This School is a breath of fresh air, held in the highest regards by some of the most influential wellness businesses in the world - Mind Movies and RTT. Each of whom prefer to work with Certified graduates from this School, because of the high degree of training and peer to peer reviews. This is about encouragement to take one's life into one's control, to create one's own financial and personal freedom while traveling as freelance Remote Advisors, visiting any number of exotic locations in the world, if that is the desire. It is much easier to be sitting back wondering what it must be like to have your own successful business, to have the money to travel. Yes its easier to criticize and judge without any true in depth understanding, but what does that achieve - really! Commenting negatively is so much easier than doing the work to reap the benefits, or at least take the time to research to see what is actually true and what can be achieved, where anyone could have the same financial and personal freedom as those graduating and being Certified. This is one of the greatest experiences of my life, the sense of community and support, the care and respect is truly outstanding. All under the passionate support of Lara, the founder and chief trainer. Yes there are scams out there, there are also genuine opportunities through one's own hard work to gain financial and personal freedom. Don't throw a blanket of doubt or negativity over them all, do you own research, there are real opportunities out there, be proactive rather than reactive.

As both a coach and parent, I have always understood the importance of pursuing personal and professional growth. After all, if you're not prepared to put in the work on yourself, how can you begin to help others? I have spent years investing my time and money studying various courses. Some have been year-long courses, others shorter.

I joined the Empath Closing School last November 24. I had been looking to work online because I had moved abroad and don't hold a work permit as an expat. Being 55, I had been thinking maybe I was coming to the end of the road with my career & maybe I should just think about retiring. However, I still needed to recover from financial losses due to COVID, so I thought it was at least worth a phone call. I was extremely sceptical & have never been implosive or bought a course from a single phone call. I had a lot of questions and wanted proof that what I was being told was true and this was not some kind of elaborate scam. Gary, who I spoke with, not only answered all my questions, but he went above and beyond. He organised a call with a seasoned ex-student, whom I grilled for 45 minutes. I was not pushed or harassed in any way, so I decided, why not, I'll give it a go.
Wow, the standard & content of the training is exceptional. What I thought was going to be easy turned out to challenge me immensely, smashing through many of my own limiting beliefs. Lara is an exceptionally dedicated coach & extremely proficient within her knowledge of the High Ticket Sales sector. Today, after four months of daily practice, I was certified & I am now moving on to the recruitment phase, starting a new career, a career I thought I was too old for! Lara & the team will support me in finding a role that suits my knowledge base and sits well with my interests. I have watched many others go through the same process & have seen the results. This has been the best decision I have made for several years & given me the prospect of a much brighter future.

I joined The Empath Closing School in June 2023, unsure whether I could ever succeed in sales. Coming from a background in yoga, mindfulness, and travel, I never saw myself as a salesperson. However, the emotional intelligence, active listening, and empathy I had developed in my previous work turned out to be my biggest strengths—something this program helped me recognize and refine.

The training itself was high-quality and practical. What helped me the most were the live call reviews, where the trainer would break down real sales calls in real time. After completing the initial training, I continued receiving support through weekly call reviews and ongoing coaching, which helped me sharpen my skills as I navigated real-world sales scenarios.

Unlike other programs that simply teach you skills and leave you on your own, The Empath Closing School has direct partnerships with companies and placed me in a part-time role by September 2023. By December, I transitioned into a full-time sales role with a highly successful American company, where I had one of my highest-earning months in January 2024. The financial growth I experienced was beyond anything I could have achieved in a traditional career path—I more than doubled my annual income within months.

Now, a year later, I’ve taken the skills I learned and applied them to building my own business. I now work with a partner selling B2B, earning a 50/50 split instead of a commission percentage. The ability to close high-ticket sales has given me career flexibility, financial stability, and the confidence to work independently.

I’ve seen negative reviews calling this program a scam, and I genuinely believe they come from people who either didn’t take the training or didn’t put in the work. Sales is a skill like any other—it requires practice, resilience, and effort. This program provides the tools and mentorship, but it’s up to you to apply them.

If you're someone struggling to find remote work or looking for a skill set that offers both independence and financial growth, I highly recommend this program. It was a transformative experience for me, and I know it could be for others as well.

I was approached to join this organisation. I don't know how they got my email address. In the e-mails and attached videos, they talked a lot about how you could earn a good salary with this system.
Nowhere and none of the worker experience videos talked about what they are selling.
You have to pay €4'000 for this training. The organisation takes 10% of this salary.
From the reviews that I consequently read, it appears that you would be selling training to people once you have been trained.
That makes this a classical ponzi scheme. I therefore did not continue.
It is the classical approach of ponzi schemes to talk about high earning possibilities but little information of how you would earn it.
I would be very sceptical about working for this organisation. It has nothing to do with empathy skills and everything to do with a ponzi scheme.

I have been a salesman for 15 years, 15 years of traditional training often the old school boiler room style of selling. This approach is seen as Sharkey and pushy. Within weeks I realised I needed to throw everything I learned previously put and put effort into investing improving my skill set further. It's so comprehensive, your given a safe place to practice with other students (250ish) and feedback until you pass. It's sales pure and simple you pay for the course are mentored and guaranteed that if you complete the course and milestones get certified then the school will continue to help train indefinitely until you do. I'm struggling to see where the scam. EU registered organisation, transparent zoom to ask anything and intro phone calls to introduce you to the shool and explain it's not a job or a get rich scheme. Sales people get it straight away but working on fixed salary or hourly wage. The earning potential might seem unbelievable. So you pay for a course which allows you to without experience learn high ticket ethical selling you are protected with an EU backed agreement in writing. So everything other people have said positively is written in. It's hard work but selling always is but the beauty is warm leads. Making it more effective than cold calling hence many sales people love the training and you have a rich diverse community of motivated and compassionate students.

I had a long call with 1 of them.

Each information, I got it after a long effort of cutting sh!t and reading through their novlang.

From my understanding, they sell for 4,000 EUR an online program with no international recognition and no promise of employment.

You can complete this program at your own speed. They have like 200+ modules. Then you will be stuck to work for their few partners (around 10) with whom you might be employed because their certification, nobody knows it except them of course.

Their price is higher than a full semester online in deep science with the MIT that will give you international recognition. They have 0 big names to secure their certificate.

They use a bullshit novlang to sell you a "development" program that is just basically a training program to sell using low psychological manipulation technics. In those selling jobs, one of them is also to sell this program (partially ponzi).

They don't see themselves as sellers but "counselors". They change all the words like that to surf on a general trend on personal development.

Then they will charge 10% of your income if you work with their partners.
The legal frame of their system is outside any country. Cyprus. Good luck to get back your money in case of any issue.

It is not necessarily a scam, but clearly you will be dragged into a sh!thole where you will have your hands and feet tied to their program and system.

Their initial pitch is amateurish, unprofessional and tediously repetitive. Their chosen advocate, Lara, spends the entire time narrating every line on the visuals, precisely as they appear. Ludicrous and irritating to anyone with an IQ greater than their waist measurement.
The absence of professional sales skills is clear and the approach, regardless of its legitimacy, comes across as a scam.

The Empath Closing School was exactly what I needed and came at the perfect time.
Lara is an exceptional trainer and is very trustworthy and is always on hand whenever needed. The whole experience was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable.
The community and support as a whole is amazing, very positive as well as motivating.
After certifying, I was employed very quickly as a transformational advisor which I have been doing for nearly a year already. The income is great, and the freedom of time is a great bonus to manage all the things I was missing out on.
I cannot thank Lara and the team enough, the school does exactly what it says it will do and it has truly transformed my life around.

I too feel this is a scam they promise you a job and all they do is try to sell you a course.

They told me it was a free 8-12 week course, with a guaranteed remote position, and how they make their money, is they will take a small percentage of my commission with whichever company they put me with.

Seemed reasonable enough, but then I found out via email that I would have to pay for the course too. When I asked how much, they refused to answer. Saying I must take a call instead.

I confirmed that I want it in writing, so they can not change the goal posts later on. They then said that they are "Admin" and do not know the price of their own course - phone call only.

I refused and came here to leave a bad review. They are targeting expats in South East Asia to leave your low-paid school teaching jobs and follow their pipe dream instead. (Later finding out via other bad reviews that they are charging a whopping €4,000 to your bankcard).

You are smart enough to know that these so called "positive reviews" do not look right... Simply Google search "Is the Empath Closing School a Scam?" or look on "Scam-Detector.com" and search up their website name: ClosingEmpathSchool.com

The proof is right there to see.

After spending my entire career in corporate, I reached my early 30s and realized I wasn’t making real progress toward my life goals or the quality of life I truly wanted. Living in a third-world country like South Africa, I had limited opportunities to travel, and I knew something had to change.

After just three months of closing on my first offer, I’m already earning two-thirds of my salary, and I’m on the verge of fully transitioning into this career. The process works, and once you grasp it, you gain a vital life skill. What’s even better is that once you're placed, you still have full access to the program and live coaching sessions with Lara to keep improving.

I won’t sugarcoat it—the investment was a significant commitment, especially as a South African. But this program aligned with me so deeply that I was willing to make the necessary sacrifices. I sold my car, took public transport to work, and managed my budget carefully. Looking back, every single sacrifice was part of the process that shaped me into the person I needed to become in order to help others change their lives.

Real change isn’t easy. It takes determination, commitment, and sacrifice. But now, I’m truly proud of the person I’ve become.

This program is thorough, and my biggest advice is: do not cut corners. Read the books. Keep an open mind. Absorb everything. I now realize how much of life I had misunderstood, and after seeing the results firsthand, I know the opportunities that come from this are real.

If you’re looking for a way to help people make life-changing decisions using an ethical yet powerful technique—while earning what you’re worth, having time freedom, and working from anywhere in the world—this program is a must.

Stepping out of my comfort zone, investing my time, money, and energy into this program was absolutely worth it.

Obviously a scam! Avoid!

In October 2024, I commenced my training with The Empath Closing School in the The Empathic Conversational Closing Method. The life changing experience I have had has been instrumental in allowing me to see that I have more potential and can continue to enhance my personal development and move forward. This will allow me to find a more rewarding occupation as a Closer where I will have the opportunity to help others whilst investing in a better future for myself and my family. The trainers / mentors and community are great and there is support 24 / 7. The community itself is full of positivity and encouragement, setting an environment where once you put the work in, you will succeed!. Training material is presented in many formats (videos with detailed notes, live presentations weekly, daily discussions in the community forum etc.) in bite-size pieces allowing you to review, study and absorb at your own pace. I personally felt that once I started the program, i could not stop moving forward with the training, digging deeper and wanting to do my best to enhance my skills and knowledge but also to support my fellow colleagues. There is something special about The Empath Closing School which makes you feel part of a family, full of like-minded people who want to have a life changing experience and create new opportunities. By putting in the recommended time and follow up on actions, I was able to get certified in 3 months and I very much looking forward to continuing my journey ahead and remaining part of this community. I highly recommend this training!

When I enrolled in The Empath Closing School, I had spent over 3 years trying to make a sustainable life for myself as an entrepreneur living abroad. This doesn’t account for the time I took writing a book and working with an editor to get it published. The idea was to combine my love of writing with my love of mentoring people, write a book and launch my coaching career. All the while teaching English online which was a career I had known would never be one that could sustain me. I had been a guest speaker on about 15 substantial podcasts, worked with a business coach and then worked with a mindset coach. Don’t get me wrong, I have no regrets having worked with those other individuals and organizations. I have grown each step of the way. And perhaps without those experiences would not have signed up for this program. But from the moment I saw Lara Mcilwraith’s video on social media I was drawn into what she had to say. I encountered her video shortly after spending over 2 months of caring for my elderly mother who had fallen quite ill. I was reevaluating my life and wanting to make a change in the way I had been addressing the following of people I had managed to grow online. Because of this program, I came to realize that I wasn’t asking the right questions or simply taking the right approach with people and I realized I would need one more thing to push me over the edge.

From the very first Live call I had with Lara, it was evident I had set my entire business up incorrectly. Within the first week of working with Lara I pivoted my business to a specific niche and immediately I had people reaching out to me. Some think I should have just took off and chase my own business again, this time with a better set of tools under my belt. But a funny thing happened. The more I worked with the Empath Closing School, the more I wanted to learn. I loved the community and I found myself inspired to work on my communication skills. I decided to dedicate my time to certifying and put my business on the back burner. I was beginning to see this opportunity as a win/win situation and that’s what it has been.

I recently certified and was going to wait until I started earning because of these skills to submit a testimonial. But honestly, I have no doubt that I will start earning soon and I’ve already got people signing up for an online event I will be hosting a month from now. My experience with the Empath Closing School and specifically with the leadership of Lara has been a win/win and so much more. I will be submitting a video testimonial in the near future when I am in my new and fully sustainable life and helping others to achieve the same!
