I accept, you know, an offer for $430 not knowing supposedly, the catalytic converter was after market when they came to tow. It, they said it's after market and offered $200. I was able to get it up $250, but when i go to do another quote to just see how much with a missing or replaced catalytic converter it offers me $390, thats still over $100 more than i got. Now, after reading all the reviews i'm wondering if they were truthful at all when I called clunker junker to let them know they didn't care and said there was nothing they could do.

They responded quickly, and were very professional as they gathered additional information about my Truck! They arranged a tow driver within 24hrs! That saved me additional cost of storage fees. The Driver was great, and personable! I received a check for the quoted amount from the driver. Overall, it was a terrific experience, and I highly recommend this company!

Very disappointed with Clunker Junker. They gave me an offer and then changed it. They also gave me information about the catalytic converter that I believe was not truthful.

I expected the company to stand behind the offer they originally gave me. Instead, the offer was changed after the fact. The way the situation was handled was extremely frustrating and left me feeling that I could not trust what I was being told.

My advice: stay away from Clunker Junker. Get everything in writing, verify what they tell you, and do not assume the original offer will be honored

There is better security buying a hotdog from Uber eats then selling a car with this company. They have no concept of safety when it comes to the people they buy from. Via text you get an alert that someone is coming. You expect a tow truck but find a random guy or 2 in a personal truck with no business advertising. No introduction. You could be giving your keys to a homeless person. They ask about a leak then pop your hood and play around in there yep there's a leak do u see it. No I'm not a mechanic but the puttering around in there you just did could have caused this fictional leak you see. They take your key for a test drive then you notice a whole second person slumped down in the truck they drove in on and you think, oh crap they just stole my vehicle. There were 7 red flags and I wanted to say forget it and get them off my property. But I figured I was being crazy. They talk you down even more when you are giving the vehicle away. Do your research. Know who you are doing business with and go with any other company. Clunker junker may be legit but the "businesses" they do business with may be shady. Will never do business with this company again. And will tell everyone I know to avoid them like the plague. Very disappointed.

Easy, smooth process. From the moment I got a quote through the second vehicle left the lot was seamless. Truck driver that met me at lot was exceptional!

Agreed on offer and failed to show for pickup twice.

Texted me saying they "bumped my offer $75" after I accepted that offer while I was putting in my vehicles information they dropped it back down to the original offer. Bait and switch. This happened within 10 minutes and they're response was "I’m sorry. When we verified your acceptance, the pickup availability supporting $780 was no longer available, so the offer was re-priced."

I listed my son's car with them. He had died a year and half previously, so was not possible to get all the info related to his vehicle. Clunker Junker made an initial offer, then came back with a second higher offer and then with a third even higher offer. I accepted the third offer. They said a trucker driver would be in touch re pickup and would pay the agreed upon price at pickup. In reality, Clunker Junker turfs it over to a third party, who does not seem to be committed to standing by the agreed upon offer. When the driver finally showed up, after numerus delays and rescheduling, they would only provide 40% of what was offered (Agreed upon price was $495. They were only willing to offer $200, stating that the catalytic converter was an after market and not OEM. Going back and forth with the company who sent the driver and Clunker Junker, they would not honor their written offer. This outfit is a total scam. I would never use them again nor would I recommend anyone else use them. I filed a complaint with BBB, which went nowhere. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Reached out to me with better offer for my car than the original. I accepted and then they rescinded the better off saying "it expired". I argued and they then said they would honor the better offer and set up a pick up. I reached out again noting the pick up company had not called. They then said they could no longer honor the better offer and offered less than the original! Spent 5 days going back and forth. Waste of time on my part. Their offers cannot be trusted and feels like a classic case of bait and switch

We had agreed on a specific written price for my vehicle via email, which is a legally binding contract in every state. After sending them a photo of my clear title, as they had directed, they changed the agreed-upon price to a much lower amount. I immediately contacted CashforCars.com, and they gave me a much better offer, which we agreed to, and they will pick up the vehicle this Friday, honoring their commitment.

It's all a scam. They give you offer. Then some random tow truck driver comes out knowing he is going to cut the price before he even gets here. He immediately starts bad mouthing my truck saying he can't pay the honored price. I know my truck has issues if it didn't I would not be calling clunkerjunker......it's kind of in the name.

They expected me to sign the title over to them first, and send them photos front and back by email before "locking in" my quote. Crooked scam bs.

After filling out the information on their online form, they made an offer, which I accepted. I filled out everything honestly. When the guy (not clunker junker) came to pick it up, he renegotiated, refusing to pay even half of what was offered. Due to pressure from my HOA and other issues, I had to get rid of it that weekend and had no option to continue shopping. The experience left me feeling robbed, especially because the Nissan Dealership had offered me almost double what he offered, but I declined them because Clunker Junker said they'd give me more money. Clunker Junker may not be a scam, but they are only an advertiser. DO NOT trust their offer. They don't actually buy your car. Some other guy with a tow truck will.

Would not accept documents that were acceptable by the state. Left me with a title that was made out to them and I either spend $ to get a new title or sell it for junk. They have pics of my legal documents and my title. My state title said everything was acceptable. Don't sign your title over to them before making sure they accept your documentation or it's going to cost you.

Advertises "fast and easy" car removal. It was not either. I understand these middlemen companies are at the mercy of junkyards and tow companies, both of which can be free-wheeling. But this company does nothing to enforce an accepted offer, promises to call you back, and never does. In my case, tow operator was, shall we say, not operating in good faith, failed to show and reneged on his offer. Clunkerjunker said, "Oh well, we can't do anything." Try elsewhere.
