I have brought a new Wilier bike from The Bicycle Lounge and the support, advice and service has been excellent. Everything from the initial enquiry to the bike fitting was brilliant. I really appreciated the advice and during the bike fitting was not rushed and felt that I was being listened to so the bike fit worked for me and the cycling I do. I would highly recommend buying a bike from the Bicycle Lounge.

Booked my road bike in for a service. Parts replaced, all set up perfectly, and ready as promised in 4 days. Went out for a long ride straight away and couldn’t have had a smoother, quieter experience. So, I have been indecisive about buying a new full road bike in addition to my gravel and older rim braked road bike. I wanted to take my time as there is so much choice out there. The owner of The Bicycle Lounge is ultra knowledgeable and has extensive experience in the cycling business and different cycling activities. Matt, the owner, advised me on all sorts of things and although my bike was towards the high price end, he was able to tell me what savings I could make in various ways. An after sales service has been offered which I will use in which the bike and measurements etc will be checked. Nothing is too much trouble and The Bicycle Lounge simple want to see more people happy on suitable bikes from commuters to enthusiasts and even racers!

An excellent bike shop. I've just bought a Enigma Edge titanium gravel bike and I'm really happy with the advice I was given throughout the process. The bike was customised to my specification and then Matt spent two hours making sure that it was a perfect fit. Having been out on my First ride today, I can confirm that it's a lovely ride.

The Bicycle Linge has just sorted a new frameset for me. Following a crack in the frame, Matt Middleton liaised the the bike manufacturer, to ensure it was replaced under warranty. The result is a brand new Cervelo Caledonia, with Shimano 12 Di2. It suits my high mileage, frequent riding exactly to my needs. It is a superb bike. This is the fourth bike I've purchased from The Bicycle Lounge. Matt provides the personalised service, attention to detail, common sense and value for money is why I return again and again.

Having had my bike written off in a non-fault accident, Matt went above and beyond by helping me navigate the murky world of solicitors and ambulance chasers.

I recently successfully took part in Ride Across Britain - cycling with 800 other people across the length of Britain over 9 days.
As part of my preparation for this event I took my bicycle and me to the Bicycle Lounge in Ormskirk for a bike fitting as I’d experienced a number of issues with neck pain and saddle sores.

Matt is an expert and gave me a frank and honest assessment of what I needed both in terms of parts, maintenance as well as some ideas on core strength exercises I could do.

Matt advised me to go for a more expensive brand bicycle tyre due to its reliability and his experience with the product, I balked at the cost initially but I had no punctures for the 100+miles I completed in training post this visit nor on the 980miles on the ride itself. Compare this to my fellow cyclists on the event who were inundated having to fix punctures in the middle of a downpour or on the side of a busy road - I admit to feeling a little smug.

Matt’s team undertook the work that they said they would do and were quick and efficient, Matt was concerned about me setting off with a brand new / not broken in saddle so loaned me a test saddle for the ride - again no issues but a number of riders pulled out with saddle sore complications.

Second bike I have bought from Matt and the service and communication has been superb. This was a bespoke build and everything has been faultless.

The Bicycle Lounge and Matt is absolutely fantastic, i purchased a brand new Dogma F. The staff were very courteous and Matts knowledge and expertise made my purchase of such a high end bike enjoyable and relaxing. Matt wants you to enjoy the experience and the bike. His attention to detail with measuring me and fitting was absolutely spot on. The price was extremely competitive, I travelled over 200 miles to get the bike, bang on spot on service. Highly recommended. Matt was very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything regarding the purchase was as expected and the free bike fit was an added bonus. I found the innovative shop display particularly impressive. I would definitely consider purchasing from this store again and, given I live on the south coast of England, that speaks volumes.

I had issues with my Di2 gears and brought my bike in. I advised them of a pending long ride to France due and wanted them to ensure my di2 worked as it was intermittent. They almost instantly got it working but were happy to look into my concerns due to the intermittent nature of the problem. They identified a complex issue deep in the bottom bracket and this was resolved fully and on time. The bike worked beautifully after that with a few more tweak they did. Very reasonable pricing and I’m please to say we did this long ride without any issue. Well done boys ! Abbas
