Have been looking for a portable monitor stand for a while: glad i did not settle until i found tern setups. Tripod is such a brilliant idea, with top notch quality and very sturdy. The shipment was fast and smooth.

The product is great! It's something that I have been looking for since I travel a lot. I use the monitor stand with my 4k 17 inch portable monitor and the laptop stand for my MacBook Pro. They both work great! My wife saw my setup and wants a monitor stand for herself!

The display is great, but the magnet setup is far from behind ideal. In most cases it is not positioned in the middle and causes the screen to tilt

Also, i have a webcam (tiny) mounted on it and its not sturdy enough

I received the monitor in good conditions. It works as excepted and you can easily carry on your bag

I bought the monitor and laptop stands, and they both work flawlessly. The build quality feels very good, and they both pack down nice and small for travelling.

I bought a portable monitor separately, and the process to attach the magnet for the stand was straightforward, and it feels sturdy.

I saw this on YouTube and liked it immediately. I checked it out and honestly, it was more expensive than I expected, but I kept returning to the site to study the specs and design.

We have a family business and when you take a family vacation it means that the office staff all goes on vacation. We do have to take care of the business at least a couple of hours a day while we're away and having 4-5 people working around an AirBnB dining room table is crowded.

We've been trying to address that space issue for a while. We've tried several solutions and the stands are either too bulky or not stable, nothing really worked well.

I was looking for something that did the same thing but cost less, but kept coming back to the Tern. I remembered another YouTuber saying 'buy nice or buy twice', so I gave in, clicked the button and ordered.

The Turn arrived quickly, 3-4 days, and my first surprise was the box was only slightly bigger than a Pixel Pro phone box. I opened the box and... Solid construction. The legs and telescope open buttery smooth with just enough resistance. The head is 180 deg adjustable "front to back" with 360 deg "rotation". The magnetic disk screws onto a standard 1/4-20 'camera mount' (I tried it on my camera and I would trust this tripod to hold the SLR securely). Compact and light. Impressive

I use a Surface Pro 11, a thin tablet computer with a built in kickstand (1.97lbs/895g). Not wanting the magnet to interfere with my drive or processor, I decided to attach one of the three included metal disks to the underside of the flip out stand, hidden when closed and adds a little distance between the magnet and the rear of the Surface. I did the same thing to my iPad's cover stand. I used the last metal disk on the back of my 16 portable monitor (1.9lbs)

I use two external monitors at home with the Surface on my (now) retired stand to bring it closer to eye level, but my old stand wobbles with any smallest bump of the desk. The Tern stand is in daily use and is rock solid. No wiggle. I've also used it with my 16" portable monitor, no movement, even when poking the touch screen

This monitor stand checks all the boxes: simple, secure, solid, easy to use and carry, it's even multi-purpose. The Tern is not crazy expensive but is on the upper end of the range. I can confirm that it's worth every penny and I saved myself money in the long run not purchasing multiple stands chasing features that this Tern stand already has.

I’m looking forward to my next work trip and years of use. Get it, you won't regret it

I’m really REALLY happy with the portable monitor (I have the 4K OLED model) – the image quality is fantastic, and setting it up couldn’t be easier. It’s been such an upgrade for my remote work setup, allowing me to use two screens easily, whether I’m in hotels or co-working spaces. This is EXACTLY what I needed to improve my workflow on the go.
Shortly after receiving the monitor, I was asked if I was satisfied, I mentioned a small feedback suggestion regarding the magnet positioning, specifically a marker on the back to help find the centre more easily. I was impressed to get an immediate response, saying they’re already considering this feature and might implement it soon.
All in all, this monitor has solved a big pain point of remote work for me and is now a key part of my gear. HIGHLY recommended!
