Certificate Name is not the Same as What is Taught and more at Tembusu institute.edu.sg
This Private Educational Institute started off as a teaching centre for fashion designers and the crafts of sewing everything from curtains, pencil cases to avant garde evening gowns.
Only of recent 2025 to 2026 they started out branching into training adults to senior Singaporean citizens other courses especially in AI automation.
However, it is noted that their Google Review is inactivated to stop showing any potential negative reviews.
My main complaints against this institute is:
1. Consultants who don't even know what SOA stands for, and asking their peers who also showed the same level of ignorance.
2. Their own CEO on TikTok allow "cry for help" to be flagged as buried comments (the "buried" comment still be ready actually), ignoring that students may turn to visiting the institute in person if no reply from consultants continue (I had been ignored for nine days in Whatsapp chat group, and again recently ignored for more than 5 days when I asked if the last classroom date can be changed from 1st Aug, due to the preparation of National Day Parade).
3. The fact that the basic AI automation for building AI chatbot is not even in the name of the certificate to be earned, was only brought up - in the second week after they had formed a Whatsapp chat group - yes... after I had signed up for the intermediate AI automation course.
It was some time in 3rd week after I had enrolled in it, that they told me of the name of the cert.
When I asked again to clarify on name of the certificate a few times on that Whatsapp chat, at least 9 days have passed.
4. The over-eager consultant's senior had only spoken about students not being able to catch up in intermediate class if I did not sign up for basic class while the original consultant I had spoken to did not even say so, she just focused on signing me into the intermediate class because:
1. I had no avail dates in June.
2. I had attended basic AI course from another more well-known institute.
So now I get it that suddenly the basic AI course in Tembusu Institute was actually mandatory, I had initially agreed to take it in early or mid July (but proved to be a bad time for me due to my other courses and prep for the NDP those pre-NDP dates could not be changed for 1st Aug last day of my course class).
In the end, when they told me they only had basic AI course in mid Aug, I told them it wouldn't make sense to my future employer that I had passed the intermediate course (ending on 1st Aug 2026) before I passed the basic course.
Now, they have again ignored me on changing the last day of my 3-days course. 5 days already..they ignored me.
5. I fully read their terms and conditions on the day I had enrolled for intermediate AI course. Replacement of training classes/dates is NOT FREE and that they could charge the cost of the whole 3-days (3 weeks) course as they deem fit.
And I repeat, the name of the basic AI automation certificate is to do with social media marketing! There is no "ai automation" for the name of the basic AI automation course.
THE CERTIFICATE to be earned will not immediately show/display that the certificate is an basic AI automation cert since usage of online AI chatbot in websites is now deemed to be one of the key component syllable that modern marketers use to increase their leads which may increase their sales.
If I were to choose again, I think I will NEVER pick this educational institute for adults' training. To be honest, they are also not affiliated with Tembusu Campus, which is directly affiliated to NUS, which I had already known from the beginning.
Perhaps real human support at their headquarters where you can enquire about courses, is of better and more accurate enrolment questions/enquiries.
Students should seek full details of the courses, the name of their certs, and ask them before enrolling that if it common practise for them to delay replaying for days and weeks due to their re-structuring of their institute management (am not even sure if the senior consultant was telling the truth or just simply finding a great excuse for not replying for more than 9 days via WhatsApp chat group).
There are way better institutes there for adults' higher learning in terms of customer/students' service. So consider those.
Thanks for reading! I hope someone would be able to avoid the frustration I went through with Tembusu Institute. B
