Overal experience

Experience ordering, setting up, speaking to operators and the equipment which is really good I found to be excellent and at a reasonable price. Gives us a bit more peace of mind and lets my mother keep her independence a bit longer.

Great website and device

John's initial experience of personal alarm

Delivery was quicker than expected and the system easy to set up and test for working order.
On the downside the use of the base unit buttons and LEDs was not well explained in the instructions.
Customer services contradicted the information on your website

I've not had my device long but worked…

I've not had my device long but worked very well on my test call.
My only problem is i find the wrist band bruises my wrist. I'm 91 and slim so it could just be a problem because of this.
Other than that was supplied quickly and very easy to set up.

It was soo easy rang your lovely team i am nearly 90 so my daughter did it all for me she was sooo pleased as how easy it was emailed my contract details and equipment came very next day did a test by pressing my watch all works perfect thanks

My mum recently suffered a fall…

My mum recently suffered a fall and after some research we decided on a Telecare 24 personal alarm. The alarm was delivered promptly and was extremely easy to set up and test - my mum opted for the wristband option and it has really put our minds at rest knowing she has this service in an emergency - and at very good value for money!

Simple to use

It's early days as I only joined a few days back. I was impressed by how easy it was to set up compared to previous Company. But disappointed that the cable for the Reuter does not allow me to use this option.

long time to answer phone
One phone operator was not very forward with info &
did not have a friendly manner, unfortunately I don't have her name.
I've carried out two tests since installment & they were quick to answer & friendly in manner.

Poor service

I have had an alarm from this company for 3 years and have had no complaints other than it was rather too sensitive!. It would trigger if I sat down a little more heavily in my chair, or bent to pick washing out of my machine. Although irritating i was reassured that at least the alarm worked well. Unfortunately I had a really heavy fall a couple of days ago, falling flat down onto the alarm. Unbelievably the alarm did not trigger! I tried repeatedly to contact the company without any success, the phone rang and rang and then cut off the call. This happened 3 times.i eventually pressed the alarm to ask the call handler to contact the company for me which they did. I received a call back around 3 hours later. I have now cancelled my contract with the company.
After reading your reply I am intrigued to understand why you would expect accidental alarms to go off when it's under my clothes, yet you don't expect it to go off with a genuine fall because it's under clothes. You are simply trying to fob me off with a ridiculous explanation. I will not retract my statement that your service has been more than poor.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are very sorry to hear about your recent fall.

I can see that our support team has been in touch regarding this incident. Following their investigation, they advised that the GO alarm did not trigger because it was being worn under clothing at the time of the fall. The GO Active! GPS device must be worn over clothing to detect a fall. We do highlight this requirement within our user guides and on our website.

Because the sensor was obstructed by clothing, it unfortunately could not function as intended during your fall. Regarding your previous experience with sensitivity, while accidental triggers can be inconvenient, they are an expected part of the technology and often provide confidence that your personal alarm is active and working exactly as described.

We are sorry for the difficulty you had reaching us by phone. Our admin office has been going through a very busy period. We also monitor our inbox and respond to all email enquiries if you are unable to reach us via telephone. Also, please be assured that our emergency response team is available 24/7 to help via the alarm button itself.

We wish you the very best and we hope you find a suitable alternative.
