Check Team-Can payment arrangements before you lose funds
arranged freight services with Team-Can Logistics / Dongguan Tianqin Huoyun Daili Co., Ltd. in Dongguan, Guangdong, China.
I received an invoice for freight and the payment was made by a third party from Canada to the company’s Hong Kong bank account.
After the payment was sent, the company later informed me that they do not accept payments from private individuals and said they would return the funds. This requirement was not communicated before the payment was made and was not stated on the invoice.
After several weeks the funds were returned, however $120 was deducted, which the company claims were bank charges.
Since the payment issue resulted from their own failure to communicate their payment policy upfront, I asked them to share or reimburse the loss. They refused.
I am posting this report to warn other customers to confirm payment requirements and sender restrictions before transferring funds to this company, particularly if payment is coming from a private individual or international transfer.
Businesses dealing internationally should clearly communicate payment restrictions in advance to avoid unnecessary losses to customers.
