Swift were recommended to us so we took our wildlife charity accounts to Kieran in September 2025. At his suggestion we left all paperwork with him …. After no contact at all from him, on several occasions I called on the phone …. No answer and no response to my messages. I also emailed on several occasions but again no response to those. I tried calling again and he answered and after apparently not really recognising my charity name, he told me that the accounts were almost complete and he would be in touch by the end of the week to discuss them … guess what? NOTHING! This was in March and accounts were due to be submitted to the charity commission by April/May. We eventually found out from him after 7 yes 7 months that he “had not had time to do them” not even started them in fact. As a result of that we collected our accounts and have gone elsewhere but we have now lost out on a much needed charity grant of between £5,000 and £10,000 as a result as we have been unable to present the accounts when they were needed. Overall, the service has been non existent and he lied to me by saying they were almost complete when were never started. I would definitely never recommend using him for anything apart from disappointing and terrible service that could cost you lost revenue or fines for non compliance. Looking at his response to others with other customers it would seem he accepts no wrong doing and blames the customers on every occasion ….. very angry and upset at losing a grant and very angry to read his pathetic responses to folk that entrusted him either their accounts!

Note* reading the reviews Kieran, nothing seems to have changed. I’m not the only one saying this and frankly, it’s disgraceful that you even try to justify it … you have failed customers continually which is not acceptable and in my case, as a wildlife charity we can not afford to lose vital funding but guess you won’t be offering any compensation any time soon and prefer to write a load of drivel in an attempt to save face!

Having reviewed the matter, I accept that the level of communication and service you received fell below the standard that both you and I should have expected.

I was not aware of the grant application you refer to, however I appreciate the impact that delays in finalising accounts can have on an organisation, particularly a charity.

Since this matter occurred, we have implemented improved systems and processes to better manage client work, communication and deadlines, helping to ensure that situations like this do not happen again. We now operate on an estimated 6 week turnaround.

I am sorry that your experience did not reflect the level of service we strive to provide and I wish you and the charity all the best for the future.

I’ve had an extremely poor experience…

I’ve had an extremely poor experience with Kieren at Swift Accounting. Throughout the time he handled my accounts, communication was consistently non existent, till i chased and chased. — emails went unanswered, deadlines were missed, and I was left chasing him for basic updates. His lack of care and attention directly led to fines, which I then had to push him to take responsibility for. No business owner should have to fight their accountant to correct mistakes they caused.

What made it worse was how it ended. After ignoring around 15 emails over the course of two months, he simply dumped my accounts back on me without any explanation or attempt to resolve the issues he created. I fully expect he’ll try to claim I “didn’t do my bit” as a way to backpedal, but given there’s already another review describing the exact same behaviour, you can decide for yourself who seems more credible.

If you take your business seriously and expect professionalism, accountability, and basic communication, I’d strongly advise thinking twice before using Swift Accounting.

As a regulated accountancy practice, we are unable to discuss the details of a former client's affairs in a public forum. However, we can confirm that throughout our engagement we repeatedly requested information required to complete work and sought to assist wherever possible, including taking steps to minimise potential issues with HMRC where information was outstanding.

We always aim to provide a high standard of service and, where concerns are raised, we take them seriously and seek to address them professionally.

Unprofessional, Unreliable and Unresponsive

Warning: Unreliable and Unprofessional Accounting Services

I recently had the unfortunate experience of working with Kieran Stocker from swift accounting and book keeping services, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others about the subpar services provided by this individual and firm.

Kieran was entrusted with handling our financial matters, including VAT returns and consolidations. However, what followed was a string of disappointments and unprofessional behavior that left us in a dire situation.

First and foremost, Kieran consistently filed our VAT returns on the very last day of submission, leaving us with no opportunity to rectify any potential errors or discrepancies. This practice not only jeopardized our financial compliance but also displayed a complete lack of concern for our business's financial well-being.

Communication with Kieran was another major issue. Instead of maintaining open and timely communication, he chose to notify us of completed work via email sometimes on the day of submission, without any courtesy of a phone call or a proper handover meeting, which is a legal requirement for accountants to perform for their clients. This abrupt cessation of communication left us in the dark and with outstanding work that we had already paid for.

Despite our previous positive working relationship, Kieran's behavior took a drastic turn for the worse. He failed to respond to numerous emails and phone calls, showing a complete disregard for our urgent inquiries and concerns. This unresponsiveness left us with unfinished financial tasks, putting our business at risk and forcing us to consider filing our latest VAT submission late, which could result in penalties.

I cannot stress enough how disappointing and unprofessional Kieran's conduct has been. I strongly advise anyone seeking reliable and competent accounting services to look elsewhere. My experience with Kieran and swift accounting booking keeping services has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope that sharing this review serves as a cautionary tale for those considering their services.

In conclusion, if you value the smooth operation of your tax affairs and expect professionalism from your accountant, I implore you to steer clear of Kieran and swift accounting book keeping services. Their lack of reliability and unprofessionalism can have severe consequences for your business, as my experience sadly illustrates.

I will be contacting the financial ombudsman and ITAW in regards to this. I have all email and text message communication evidence between myself and and this firm

UPDATE: The response below is total fabrication in an attempt to do some damage control and throw some doubt on my review. I provided information to Kieran well in advanced of all deadlines, before we parted ways I called him many times and he just wasn’t answering the calls or told his assistant to say they he was not there. I caught him off guard once or twice on the phone and he would just say he would finish the work that evening. He would then not answer again whilst at the same time disconnecting his HMRC link as our accountant. I only know this because the new accountant I found told me he was removing himself. He asked me if I could remove this review on trust pilot before writing all of these lies. I removed my reviews from his Facebook page and google reviews, but I feel that I should leave it here on trust pilot at least, to warn others. Kieran has no problem in telling lies and stringing you along. You have every right to increase your prices by threefold, but I too have the right to decline the new price. That doesn’t mean you should stop answering phone calls and emails and string me along knowing that you have no intention on completing the VAT submission that you have been paid for before the deadline. That is just unprofessional any way you look at it and others should be warned

I do not believe this review is entirely accurate and may lead potential clients to mistakenly believe what you have said.

We worked with you for a couple of years regarding your bookkeeping, VAT and Tax Returns, however, we always received the information from you very close to the deadlines.

As you are not our only client, this then meant that the work we completed (albeit within a good time frame from receiving the information) would be close to deadlines.

If you wanted to have your work completed earlier, you should have provided us with the information sooner.

Emails are our primary form of communication with clients and we aim to reply within 48 hours, usually with a same day response.

We always provide our clients with the draft VAT Returns before submitting to HMRC, something we also did with you, which meets requirements by our accounting body, ICAEW.

I would also like to point out that we were severely undercharging you for almost the whole time we had you as a client, and when I informed you we would be increasing our prices to match the services completed, you then left this review.

Overall, the issues you have raised were due to your own actions and is not something we have issues with other clients.

For anyone that reads this review - we have plenty of 5* Google and Facebook reviews showing a true reflection of our work and professionalism.

I would also like to point out that Ishmael removed his Google and Facebook reviews after I discussed the above issues with him, but seems to have forgotten about this one.

In a nut shell - information was provided to us close to deadlines and he did not like us increasing our fees.
