Such a disappointing experience with Sunset Adore

I don’t usually write bad reviews, especially not for small brands I genuinely want to support — but this experience left me too disappointed to stay quiet. 😔

I ordered a made-to-order skirt and was initially excited about the brand’s values. But what followed was over three months of waiting, vague and repetitive email replies, and constant promises that the item would ship “soon.” At one point, I genuinely thought I had been scammed. 😳 I understand handmade takes time, but the lack of honest communication made the whole process stressful and exhausting.

When the skirt finally arrived, they included a “thank you” gift for my patience — a mini dress, chosen entirely by them. But instead of asking for my size, they simply sent it in XXS. A gift I can’t wear. How is that a thank you? I couldn’t believe it — it felt careless and, honestly, quite disrespectful.

So I wrote to them one more time and politely asked if I could exchange it for a size that actually fits — and they never responded again.

I’d be more than happy to support a slow fashion brand, but that support has to go both ways. Sadly, this experience made me feel like an afterthought, not a valued customer.

Save your money

Order took a lot longer than expected to come (it was supposed to take 2 weeks, ended up being a few months), when I complained I got offered a free skirt as an apology, I accepted it and answered their questions about sizing. Its almost been a year, nothing has come.

Fire stjerner på grund af næsten tre måneders ventetid, men det var det hele værd. Fantastisk flot nederdel. Krøllefrit stof. Super kvalitet. Og så føler jeg mig som en prinsesse med den på. I fortjener ros. I gør det godt. 👍🏻

Happy Customer

A wonderful, classic, tailored item added to my wardrobe. When I first ordered the skirt, I was living and working in London. The skirt does take awhile to be tailored, and I shouldn’t have procrastinated ordering it knowing that I was being considered for a secondment overseas. However, the Sunset Adore team were very cooperative and lovely about it. They happily changed the address on my order to my new residence in Hong Kong without any additional charges etc. I’m grateful to the team for their excellent customer service and for going beyond 💛.

No costumer Support / No product / No money back

I saw a skirt on the Instagram Story of an Influencer and since I knew I would have a job interview in the closer future, I placed my order for the ballerina skirt happily. Now 6 weeks later I am pretty sure this website is a dropshipping scam. I tried to cancel my order last week and left multiply texts on their whatsapp. I have never received an answer. I will now look into what I can do to get my money back...

I ordered 3 pieces of clothing back in August

I did not receive them until like October.
Sent 2 pieces back. Had to ask multiple times for my refund and got the message finally in December that I could not be refunded because ‘the clothes had been used’ I couldn’t even fit my chest in the tops. So they were definitely not worn and I whole heartedly believe that something happened between October and December at their factory/ place whatever.

You placed an order for a made-to-order skirt, which came with a stated delivery timeline of approximately six weeks. As part of this process, your selected design, fabric, color, and size were communicated to our Spanish tailors, who began crafting the skirt specifically for you.

This information was presented in multiple places on our website: on the product image labeled "pre-order," in the "delivery" section of the product page, and again under the “Made to Order” section in our Info menu. We also sent weekly email updates to keep you informed of the progress - detailing each stage from fabric cutting to sewing and finishing.

Despite our continued efforts to communicate clearly and promptly, the tone and frequency of the messages we received became increasingly difficult for our team to receive. 4 months, no goods, no service

Ordered two items on the 27th of November 2024 which were supposed to be delivered within no longer than 4 weeks. After almost 4 months, still have received absolutely nothing.

The "customer service" either completely ignores messages or provides the same generic spam answer as can be seen under some of reviews here. It does not matter whether you provide order number or not, there is never any clear answer on whether or when sunsetadore.com actually intends to deliver the order. By this point, it awfully seems that I just sent my money to a scammer who never intended to send me the ordered products in return.

Sadly, they are advertising the alleged "launching of new products" on social media while clearly unable to fulfil already existing orders of multiple months. I wish there were warning reviews at the time I ordered.

Prospective buyer, be smarter than I was and stay away from sunsetadore.com.

UPDATE it has been more than 6 months from placing the order but I am still waiting 🙃

No customer service…

No customer service…
I haven’t received my order after almost 4 months. The order was placed back in the beginning of December 2024 and the money was withdrawn after two days…
It is impossible to communicate with the company as they don’t respond to any messages. I have written to them on email, Instagram or WhatsApp, but I am yet to receive a response from them.

I would definitely not recommend this company.

Honestly one of the worst shopping…

Honestly one of the worst shopping experiences, I ordered my items back in November and only now got a delivery in a ripped up package. I also got no updates after emailing multiple times. The only time they replied was when I messaged in the comments on Instagram, where the only response I got was it's made to order it will take time with a bunch of emojis as if I hadn't paid a lot of money for some items I had no update on for months not just weeks. They said they would look into it and then blanked me again for a week . Until I again had to message in the comments for them to reply with a similar response and not trying to rectify my concerns or give some kind of compensation to it but again more emojis as if it's meant to make it light hearted they took my money for months and I had to make loads of effort on my side to figure out what was going on . It seemed like they were making fun of me. Even if you do get anything from them that you might like , you have to wait an eternity for it, if get it at all. So don't bother if you have any event or place you have in mind to wear these items and if it doesn't fit or not what you want you're just gonna be stuck with it.
