never known a charity shop to be so ungrateful. donated a lot over 2 years. every time the lady is rude. today was the last straw. my donations got rummaged through and was told ‘we don’t take dressing gowns, christmas trees and decorations, dumbbells etc. my items are in excellent condition, modern and fairly new. the rude lady pounces on you when putting donations on the desk and if you walk out without her rummaging though all the stuff first, she chases you outside. but it’s ok for them to sell dirty furniture. family members have had issues with trying to donate perfectly fine furniture too. will never step foot in this store again. i will drive further and donate the rest of the stuff she wouldn’t take to another charity shop i used to donate to (before moving home) who has always loved my stuff and made a lot of money from. i will never support any sue ryder again.

A fox was trapped inside their Pinner store for a week. 2 rescues offered to help and were at the store so if allowed in, they could catch the fox or simply open the rear door for it to escape. They were denied access. After social media brouhaha, they said oh thank you we're on it. They claim animal rescue freed the fox but have refused to name the "rescue" involved. And no rescue had said the were involved. Which is odd don't you think? Not even the staff know who took the fox. I'd bet it was pest control. Why they had to leave it to residents to push food and water through the letterbox for days is beyond me. Why not ..as we all kept saying...open the back door so it could leave.
* After reading Sue Ryder reply, I don't believe it, sorry. You denied access to Moonstone Rescue who offered to assist and they were right outside the shop. A trail of food leading to the exit would have led the fox out. Also, not one rescue has said "It was us who rescued the fox". And you knew well before you responded on social media that you had a fox in the shop due to local residents informing you. Plus not one photo of said fox being rescued and released? Pull the other one.

The lady in the counter is so rude , grumpy and not a smile at all after I brought some newly used bags and clothes. All I get is what is that in your bag? Not a thanks or anything. What a staff!! Shouldn't be in front. This is Kingsway, Quedgeley, Gloucester

Unbelievably fussy about the FREE quality furniture offered. SO UPSET WITH THEM, will NEVER try and donate to this ungrateful bunch of amateurs again. I took photos of everything to be collected and they turned all 4 items down on collection appointment because of small makes on SECOND HAND FURNITURE. DO NOT USE!!!! Go with another charity. They left me with a completely messed up schedule. ALSO THEY WANT YOU TO DISMANTLE EVERYTHING which they don't advertise AT ALL. I'm SO UPSET with this organisation!!!!!

Two young guys representing the charity on the platform at Abertawe Station hold people up and make them miss their trains despite people politely declining many times. After making me miss my train they laughed me out of the station. I’d be careful who you hire to represent a charity of all things.

Took the time to sort out a bag full of clothes, a pin board (still sealed in plastic) and tripod. Decided to donate instead of sell on vinted etc
Walked in door of local sue ryder, 2 members of staff standing round and was told they are not accepting donations?
Couldn’t believe it.
They said ‘maybe’ I could go back in a week and try again but couldn’t guarantee because they are short staffed and waiting on a delivery and can’t have too much stock.
The shop certainly didn’t look over stocked and they had no idea what I was even bringing and they didn’t ask.
I don’t believe for a moment there was no room for a few items of clothing, there were plenty of gaps. Also understaffed but 2 people working in an empty shop?
Feel really sour about it tbh as someone who has used support from Sue Ryder and wanting to donate.
The clothes have now gone in a used clothes bin in the car park.

The staff in Wrexham need to sort out their booking system. I booked a date on-line, received a text from Boxmove to confirm, followed by another text changing the date which was not convenient. As Boxmove has no reply facility I rang the shop and was given a different date. The next day another text from Boxmove confirming the inconvenient date !

I always try to visit the shop when I'm in Coleford. It is well laid out, with room to move around -_even with a pushchair, and there's usually a bargain to come away with.
The staff are welcoming, and Sean/Shaun can always brighten my day!

Times are so difficult for me at the moment and access to the Sue Ryder site is very difficult, every time I try to log in it repeatedly says ‘not recognised’ I know it’s not me because I have done as requested and changed my password but time after time I receive the same message ‘not recognised’ had enough now, they are very quick to ask for donations but I don’t think they really care. How much does the ceo receive in salary ?

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the customer service I have experienced at the Quedgeley – Kingsway store.
Unfortunately, I have repeatedly encountered rude and unfriendly behavior from some of the older female staff members. They rarely smile or offer a welcoming attitude. On several occasions, when customers enter the store with children, the staff react negatively if a child shows interest in a toy. They often sigh loudly, display disapproving facial expressions, and appear visibly irritated. This behavior creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and makes shopping with children an unpleasant experience.
Additionally, I have frequently purchased items that turned out to be incomplete or missing parts, which has been both frustrating and disappointing.
I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and address these issues to improve the overall customer experience at this location.

I’ve donated here a few times as the parking is convenient, but unfortunately the experience is consistently unpleasant. The volunteers are unfriendly, never acknowledge you and make you feel very unwelcome – no greeting, no smile, just a blank stare and a curt “put the donations there”. A simple hello or thank you would go a long way. It’s disappointing, especially when other charity shops are far more warm and appreciative. As someone who used to run a charity, I know how important it is to value donors. I won’t be donating here again. The volunteers could really benefit from better training or a reminder of why they’re in this role.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with this charity shop. I purchased an item that turned out to be faulty, which should never have been put up for sale in that condition. When I tried to return it, they processed the return but refused to refund the original delivery charge, arguing that the delivery service was provided, even though the product itself was defective.
This policy feels incredibly unfair. Why should a customer have to pay for delivery when the item they received was not fit for purpose? It's unacceptable for a charity shop to sell faulty goods and then refuse to take full responsibility when they are returned. I hope they reconsider their returns policy to ensure customers are not left out of pocket when they are sold substandard items.

I wanted to donate 3 items of furniture. One from Beadle Chrome (a very nice store) another from the Co-op. All in very good condition.
After three days I had a message to say they didn't want them.
Very inconvenient. They should have cancelled within 24hrs. That they didn't want them is fine, but wasting my time is unacceptable. It had knock-on consequences.
