From start to finish Streamline was excellent!! When I first made the enquiry I initially spoke to Gary who sent me really informative information about the surgery process etc, and then I was contacted by Aisha who was so helpful and reassuring as I was debating between 2 procedures. Aisha then booked my consultation with Guy Slater, who was really understanding and great to talk to. I then decided to go for the Gastric Sleeve (revisional).

When it came to paying the deposit, I had hit a delay with finances but honestly, Leigh really supported me and reassured me that once finances were sorted I could proceed. I had to change the surgery date, which meant I would have my surgery with Shaw Sommers instead of Guy Slater, which was fine by me!. The care and understanding was second to none during this process.

Finally, finance sorted and I was on the journey to my procedure and a better healthier life. Within no time, I received appointments from all who would be part of my care, Streamline does not mess about lol. There were a few things I wasn't sure about with the LRD but getting answers was very quick, in fact, I received a call on the weekend which really helped.

Then surgery day, I was excited but a little nervous understandably. When I arrived on the ward I was greeted by a wave and smile from Shaw which calmed my nerves. Shortly after getting into my room, Shaw came to see me to discuss the procedure etc, he was so down to earth and I knew I was in safe hands. I was second on the list to go into theatre, and before I knew it it was all done. Shaw came to see me later that day to check I was ok and if there was anything I needed or wanted to ask etc.

Since my procedure I have received regular calls from the dietician team, medical team, Shaw himself as well as emails to check all is well etc.

The best decision I ever made having my procedure with Streamline and knowing that I have full aftercare support makes this journey all the better!

The streamline team are honestly amazing, the steps and the care they take to make sure your fully prepped and ok before and after surgery are 10/10 especially Aisha from the support team and Leigh from finance. I can’t thank them enough!!

Life changing.
I researched and was not disappointed with my surgeon and all the team at streamline.
All done during Covid but still felt very informed, confident and in good hands.
The most important thing is your never on you own. The aftercare is outstanding.

Streamline have been absolutely amazing. Their pre and post op care have been fantastic. I had a sleeve in BMI in Harrow on 18/11/2020 and the nursing staff were so lovely and caring, I am 22 and was very nervous to be there without my mum and the anesthetist held my hand as I was put under. I don’t react well to anesthetic so I was very sick after, the nurses were amazing and did everything to help me to stop. Mr Somers was my surgeon and he was so kind and talked me through everything, an amazing surgeon and lovely guy. I asked to leave a review because I truly felt the ENTIRE team deserves it. Thank you all for my new life, you have played a part in it and I owe you so much.

At 76 I knew that if i did not do something positive about my weight my ailments C.O.P.D. and diabetes type 2 would get worse and carry extra weight with degenerative spinal disease was even worse.i decided after seeing Mr.Shaw Summer on tv talking about bariatric surgery to find out more .I cannot thank him and his staff enough the best decision of my life I am a new person I am now a perfect weight and feeling so good no COPD or diabetes and a healthy relationship with food thankyou for a very positive experience

I had a gastric sleeve with Dr Shaw Sommers and since my first consultation, the support has been amazing!
From my first appointment to operation day I only had to wait 6 weeks. The surgery went great, minimal invasive with only 3 keyholes.
I was walking the next day, and ready to return to work after 1 week.
Today I'm 6 weeks post-op and I have been cleared to start exercising.
The multi-disciplinary support has been the key to my success with my weight loss journey from the nurses to the dietitian they are all great and knowledgeable.
If you are considering bariatric surgery, do not hesitate to give them a chance.

I had the bypass March 2020 by Shaw Sommers and it’s the best decision I ever made. Mr Sommers I cannot praise enough, he was professional, communicative and even went as far to repair a hernia. The aftercare has been faultless, I am contacted on a semi regular basis by the dietician, surgeon and the like. I cannot recommend the surgery enough.

I had a gastric sleeve on the 12th February 2021 and I can not recommend Streamline highly enough. I had a complicated history having had a gastric band in 2005 which perforated my stomach in 2013 so I was very nervous about having further gastric surgery but after researching and several recommendations from friends I had my initial consultation with Mr Shaw Somers I immediately had full confidence in him and his team. The care that I have received before and after my procedure has been excellent and my recovery has been painless and having this procedure has already started to change my life.

I chose Streamline Surgical as I have followed Shaw Somers' career for many years and knew that if I ever opted for surgery, then it would be him I wanted to do it. Well 4 weeks ago he did my mini gastric bypass and I have had no problems at all. From my first consultation with him, I was happy to go ahead and get it done. I had to travel to Harrow due to our local hospital not doing elective surgery due to Covid. It was all fabulous, and was treated with the utmost respect by all concerned. Mr Somers came to see me twice after my surgery to check on my welfare. Since being home, I have had follow up appointments with nurses and dieticians as well as Mr Somers. I really can't fault the service I have received and would like to thank Shaw and his incredible staff for their amazing treatment throughout this huge life changing event. It's been the most positive experience. I would 100% recommend Streamline if you are considering bariatric surgery!

Absolutly amazing. I had a gastric bypass September 2020 and it has changed my life. I'v lost 6.5 stone already. Mr Somers and his team have been so professional and supportive throughout the entire process, from my initial enquiries up to now, i feel supported and very well looked after. I cannot fault Mr Somers or his team at all. whenever i have any questions or concerns iv emailed or phoned and been helped immediatly, nothing is to much trouble for streamline.

Hi I would just like to say what a pleasure it has been, after having a gastric band fitted some 8 years ago the whole team are always there, helpful pleasant, a special mention goes to Annie Marie who is in charge of filling and de-filling the band And is based at the Sudbury clinic she is so professional and her manners and care are impeccable, I have only had 2 blips in 8.5 years I strongly recommend all the bariatric surgeons at streamline and may long it continue for this lovely group

I had my gastric bypass operation on 7th November and it has been life changing already lost 2 1/2 stone and counting. Mr Somer and his team have looked after me from the beginning exceedingly well and kept my informed at all times

Mr Shaw Somers and his whole team were professional and lovely to deal with from start to finish. They communicated well at every stage from initial consultation to surgery/ after care and always asked if I had any questions or concerns. They tried there best to accommodate me where ever was possible. I would not hesitate to contact Mr Somers should I need further surgery in the future.

Most awful experience ever. I had the gastric balloon inserted they said I shouldn’t feel it straight away and I was safe to drive home to south London. As soon as it was inserted I felt chest pain ... the pain got so serve I ended up in Hosiptal for 3days.

After a week I started to feel hungry again... and I could eat as normal. I spoke to the dietitian and she tried to advise me on what to eat to still be able to loose the weight.

The dieticians rang me 2/3 time at the beginning and since then I Haven’t heard I thing. I am not 3 months in... no weight loss no support.... I was in so much pain I was admitted into hospital and left with bad gas all the time for no reason because I’ve lost absolutely nothing.

Also the dr was late so he rushed me in and out of the procedure. May I also I add I did my research too for a long time and looked at all the reviews but I can not say the same for my experience.

Please do not waste your money !

From my consultation to my surgery, everything and everyone was amazing.
Having a gastric bypass is not an easy way out!!! It’s the hardest but best decision I have ever made. Choosing the right people is paramount, these have your back at all times.
