A must-have for promoting your book if you are an author
The final trailer is amazing and is already getting wow reviews from those who have seen it. Whether or not that translates into increased book sales of course is another story. Four stars instead of five only because of some chinks in the process. The AI quality is outstanding and the price is reasonable.

I’ve had an excellent experience working with Storybook Reels on my book trailers. They have produced all of my trailers so far, and every time, they’ve managed to capture the exact feel, tone, and visual style I was hoping for.

Be very clear not to use real images of actors.
Story Reel Studios completed a thirty-second trailer for me for $199, plus $99 for the transcript. I have used the service twice before, and there’s an understanding that they should use actors’ likenesses, but not something obvious. The video is awesome. I make it look like Ana de Armas, Taylor Lautner, and Ryan Guzman are going to be in a crime thriller together. Sad, the video will never see the light of day. They wanted me to pay $149 to fix their mistake. I paid $500 for the full trailer for my two other books. Stay clear of the thirty-second trailer because you’ll end up paying the same amount for a short video. In my case, I would be sued into oblivion if the actors ever saw it. Yes, I consulted with my lawyer, and it’s a gray area because of AI. On May 8th, the company owner refunded my money. The overall experience was worth the effort, and I would use their services again.

I understand your concern about the actor likenesses used in the trailer and how that made the final video feel unusable for you. That is not the outcome we want for any author.
Because of this, we are refunding your entire order. Please note that it typically takes 3–5 business days for the funds to be returned to your card, depending on your bank or card provider.
I’ll also be personally reviewing this project with our team so we can better understand what happened and improve how we handle visual references, likeness concerns, and revision expectations moving forward.
We appreciate that you gave us another opportunity to work with you, and I’m sorry we didn’t deliver the experience you deserved this time. We truly wish you and *Thunderhead Wash* great success.
Low Promo Price, Misleading Expectations, Costly Revisions
Low advertised price drew me in, with the expectation that the first draft would reflect my brief. It didn’t. The video missed the tone and message entirely, and the ending even showed a dying scene, which was completely antithetical to the purpose of my project.
When I asked for corrections, I was told I’d need to pay additional fees for revisions. That felt misleading given how the service was presented. A refund was eventually issued, but only after several follow-ups.
Be very clear up front about what the advertised low price actually covers.
