All good, but …..
All good. However, the two hour window provided first thing in the morning was then pushed back by two hours which buggered up the plan for the day. Same thing happened with my previous order. May be better to give a 4 hour window and not have to change it.

Delivery slot kept slipping throughout…
Delivery slot kept slipping throughout the allotted day which meant I was unable to leave home at all. Delivery itself was fine once it happened.
Quality of the plum slate boulders was very variable, with quite a lot of small pieces and a couple of very large pieces along with a couple of lumps of slate. These were of no use for an alpine bed.
Had just about enough for my use but a lot of wasted material.

Thanks for your message - I really appreciate you taking the time to explain what happened.
I completely understand the frustration, especially with the delivery slot moving throughout the day and then the mix of sizes not being quite right for what you needed.
To be honest, the vast majority of this material comes straight from the quarry and is usually very consistent. However, with the recent wet weather, it can sometimes lead to a broader mix being loaded - particularly some of the smaller or excess pieces from lower down in the stockpile. It’s not something we see often, but when it does happen, it’s not the standard we want you to receive.
If you’re happy with what you’ve got and it’s covered what you needed, I’ll feed this back to the quarry moving forward. If you do find yourself short on usable material, just let me know and I’ll see what I can do to help.
We’ve also sent you an email, so feel free to reply to that - happy to discuss things further and get something arranged if you need a top-up free of charge.

They had a supply chain issue (which wasn't their fault) but unlike many other companies they 'owned the problem' and actively tried to manage it. For that alone i would have no hesitation in recommending them.
