Vi bestiller mad til nytårs aften for…

DÅRLIG service og forsinket mad !
Vi bestiller mad for over 3000 kr nytårs aften. Desværre blev vores aften betydeligt påvirket af forsinkelser.

Ved ankomsten til det aftalte tidspunkt kl 17:00 måtte vi vente yderligere en time for at modtage vores bestilte mad. Denne forsinkelse ødelagde helt vores nytårshygge, og vi var nødt til at give mad til 5 børn, som ikke kunne vente længere.

Jeg har tidligere sendt dem en mail med denne klage for 4 uger siden, men jeg har endnu ikke modtaget noget svar. Den manglende respons forstærker vores utilfredshed og frustration.

Jeg håber, I vil tage denne klage alvorligt og træffe passende foranstaltninger for at forbedre jeres servicekvalitet og håndtere situationer som denne i fremtiden.

Great Service - awesome for Coeliacs

Visited Sticks ‘n’ Sushi in Westfield with my Coeliac wife and daughter - the GM was absolutely awesome - gave us an iPad with the allergen menu, guided us through what could be made gluten free and what couldn’t. Put items with gluten on separate plates on mine and my son’s side of the table clearly showing us the gluten containing items.

Service from all staff was excellent - food was excellent and GM went out of her way to ensure it’s was a pleasurable experience for my wife and daughter.

Eating out with two coeliacs is very difficult and they normally don’t feel included in the whole eating experience - but here they weren’t.

Absolutely recommend the Westfield branch for anyone with coeliac or other food intolerances. They really do get it.

Food poisoning

Food poisoning
I had a dinner in their restaurant on Sunday. I have had diarrhea, stomach pain, high fever afterwards for couple of days. I feel terrible. The company did not respond my emails etc. apparently they just ignore me that I am poisoned. Very surprising!

Forkert bestilling og "fisket" laks

Vi bestilte den 11.7. takeaway-sushi i Hørsholm for 2 personer for over 600 kr. Til den pris kan man godt tillade sig at forvente mad i topkvalitet. Det var desværre ikke tilfældet med de bestilte laksesticks, der var fuldstændigt tørstegte og smagte grimt fisket, måske fordi fisken ikke var helt frisk, eller fordi man ikke havde fjernet det brune "snask".
Det gjorde heller ikke oplevelsen bedre, at vi ikke fik den bestilte laksetartar, men i stedet den "billigere" Shake Carpaccio, hvilket vi først blev opmærksomme på, da vi satte os til bords. Det kan undre, eftersom den person, der udleverede maden, selv gennemgik ordren.
Resten af den bestilte mad var bestemt ok.
Sticks'n Sushi må gøre sig mere umage med at matche pris og kvalitet.

Skuffende og dalende service på Sticks…

Skuffende og dalende service på Sticks på Tivoli Hotel..

Servicen lever bestemt ikke op til kvaliteten på maden og lokationen.
Ærgerligt, men vi kommer ikke igen på denne restaurant.
Da en fra selskabet pænt sagde, at vi var klar til Sticks’ne efter sushien, var vi flere der bemærkede hvordan tjenere rullede med øjnene. Yderst uprofessionelt.
Simple fejl som; maden ikke kommer samtidig, sjusker med skænkning af vin med spild på bord, en stor sjat af champagnen lå på gulvet da tjeneren poppede den, ved afrydning af mad blev der spildt soja ned af skjorteskulderen og på lyse bukser..
Alt i alt påvirker det oplevelsen og det er ærgerligt når man ligger +4.000kr

Great food but condescending staff and poor service

I have always loved this restaurant, I have recommended to many friends and always taken people here. However, my last visit has completely changed this opinion.

I had visited on my birthday, we had planned a romantic dinner for two; we knew what we wanted to order before we even arrived (as I had visited before so many times I have pretty much memorized the menu!)

Our server had wished me a happy birthday and taken our order. Very soon after we were bought our first course, this pleasantly surprised me (very quick service!) I asked why we had been served a particular dish - we had not ordered. He explained he was unsure and would check with the kitchen, despite me explaining we had not ordered this (it was a tuna sashimi dish, (neither of us had ordered tuna as we do not like it, and as previously mentioned, knew exactly what we were ordering even before arriving).

He returned to our table and reinforced that we had in fact ordered the tuna as this is what the chef was told to make. He disregarded the fact that we had already explained, neither of us like tuna and we know we had not ordered it. This went back and forth for a while - a very uncomfortable exchange as I would never want to appear rude or ungrateful for the service.

The dish was left on our table (presumably for us to eat) I did intact try one piece; if we had liked the dish we would have moved on, eaten it and paid full price for it! Neither of us liked the small portion we tried and asked them again, politely, to take the dish away. They threw our dish away and brought a manager over to our table.

At this point we were feeling massively uncomfortable. Each server told us confidently that we had in fact ordered it - totally disregarding our story…

As it was my birthday, they brought over a complimentary sweet plate (very lovely, but I was so uncomfortable I actually cried at the table). This was not us talking back or being rude to waiters, just out of sheer embarrassment.

As we paid our bill, the shift manager explained (once again) that we had ordered the dish, so we would be paying for it. At this point we were so uncomfortable we just wanted to pay and leave. All staff who came to our table were very smiley and it appeared incredibly ‘smarmy’.

I am really disappointed with how little consideration they gave us on our visit. From working for almost 10 years in hospitality, I know this is not normal and guests should never be treated as stupid / wrong. I remained very polite and did pay. However, will not return to this restaurant from now on…

Lack of customer care at Canary Wharf branch

We ordered sticks n sushi for delivery from their Canary Wharf branch (via Uber eats) to celebrate my wife's promotion. The staff at the restaurant seem to have given the wrong bag to the driver. We then had to spend the next two hours trying (unsuccessfully) to rectify the restaurants mistake.

Not only did this ruin our attempt to celebrate, but there were (in my view) serious errors on the part of the restaurant in handling this:

1. It was not clear that they appreciated the problem or had any realistic way to solve it. In fact, the absence of quality control in handing bags to delivery drivers is the fundamental error underpinning this entire experience.

2. Even at the end of the process 2.5 hours after the wrong food had arrived, the restaurant was claiming that our exact order was still there waiting to be collected. Thankfully it never was, but the idea that they would even consider sending out sushi that has been sitting in a warm restaurant for that long is appalling.

3. No follow up from the restaurant at all. One week after the event, I did complain privately. The response did not, in my view, adequately acknowledge the harm caused, and the proposed remedy was insultingly low.

Rude front of house team ignoring restaurant manager

Canary Wharf branch have incredibly
rude front of house team, barks at delivery drivers not recognised them, sends them out of restaurant and on friendly request be more friendlier, straight escalates to conflict! Deliveries pick up mostly is not ready or have solid waiting time, often customers reports missing items, restaurant is busy, but struggles with attentive team. I emailed to restaurant manager and tried call to head office was simply ignored! And restaurant manager Kate send me sort of ignoring email back while it’s front of house team clearly acts with misconduct treats delivery drivers with no respect and blames on false allegations! On top calls to delivery platform and asks remove from its list because driver asked restaurant team be much more friendlier and see and recognise those who frequently supports it! Rude, arrogant, fussy young individuals who lacks of solid training, experience and simple etiquette and manners! Was picking food over two years, but lately last 9 moths in restaurant there is obvious struggle! With team like this who barks at its partners and treats them with no respect! Will not support this restaurant and even step in… very rude front of house team!

FIVE STAR SERVICE

Visited sticks and sushi in the Oxford Westgate. The server was excellent, truly could not fault him, his menu knowledge was excellent (I am GF), and the service was spot on, the auto calculated tip really wasn’t enough…. And then I find out he’s a trainee!!! Wow! The training must be excellent. The food is amazing too but really excellent service. So nice to see someone taking pride in doing a good job.

Visited Sticks'n'Sushi in Cambridge a…

Visited Sticks'n'Sushi in Cambridge a few weeks back. Really enjoyed the food. It's not a cheap place to go, but if you can afford to splash out a little, definitely worth going!

I went with a friend and neither of us can stop talking about it. The wait for food really wasn't too bad either, considering it was busy. Waitress was very attentive and kind.

Would 100% go every week if I could afford it.

Jeg bestilte salat grøn tatar som tilbehør, her i står den indeholder Grillet broccolimarv, ingefær, yuzu,
avocado, koriander & wonton chips.
I selv salaten var der kun 5% Avocado samt intet af resten af ingredienserne men i stedet for bladselleri, hvilke jeg er meget allergisk over for. Det koste mig 6 dage voldsomme mavesmerter mm.
Det er bare ikke ok at lave falsk markedsføring på den måde.

Sticks n Sushi Borgergade i København.
Maden smagte fint, men var ikke som bestilt. Blomkål med trøfler havde ikke den aller mindste antydning af trøffel - jeg tror at blomkålen lå i sort sesampasta. Betjeningen var dårlig, men høflig. Når vi tog fat i tjeneren, som helt tydeligt glemte os flere gange - vi fik kun delvist det vi havde bestilt - der var både fejlleveringer og udeladte leveringer. Vi havde bestilt sake til maden - den kom efter 3 rykkere og ca 2 timer med en undskyldning om at de lige skulle lune den først. Alle talte udelukkende engelsk, hvilket gjorde at man opgav at gå i dialog om oplevelsen. Desuden var akustikken elendig, så det var næste umuligt at tale sammen over bordet.
Regningen afspejlede på ingen måde oplevelsen.

great place to eat, we love it

Visited Sticks n Sushi in Greenwich few times in the last few months. Service is always outstanding and food is wonderful. It is not cheap place to eat, on average we pay over £200 for 3 people, including drinks and service charge. But food is so good, is worth it.

Terrible service and overcharged by £40 but good food

On reflection changing my score to a 1! Booked on 28th November so a month ago. Price increase of items I ordered as follows:

Perfect Day from £70 to £74 (£4 increase)
Tokyo nonstop from £26 to £28 (£2 increase,)
Wagu yiki from £15 to £16.80 (£1.80 increase)

Increase of £7.80 and optional / discretionary service charge of £17.68 so an extra £25.48 for doing nothing. That on top of my £40 deposit which had not been taken of if I hadn't remembered leaves a lot to be desired. Wrong bill already showing on my account but refund is not. Both transactions on the same day and 30 minutes apart. I am extremely dissatisfied the more I think about it. 100% will not be returning or recommending to anyone.

31/12/2021 Review:
Terrible service but good food. (Visit on Friday 31 December - New Year’s Eve). Upon arrival there were 3 members of staff dealing with a 'situation' whilst my wife and I waited in a queue. The queue grew whilst these 3 members of staff dealt with the matter (5-1- minutes). Does it really take 3 people to deal with a situation and make other customers wait in a growing queue?

Also, we were struggling to find the restaurant and when I called they didn’t offer any help with directions even though I said where I was (near Canary Wharf station). Member of staff said they would make a note that we would be late for our booking. Having run late and when seen eventually a joke was made that we had lost the table did not go down well. Not a very good start to the evening. Booking was for 7.30pm and we arrived around 7.47pm. We were told we would have to leave by 9.30pm which wasn’t a problem as we left at 9pm. However the tone and manner we were told that we would have to leave left a lot to be desired. Certainly wasn’t made to feel welcome for New Year’s eve dinner.

Service was substandard as not very attentive and was pushy in terms of getting us to order champagne as it was New Years. “Optional and discretionary” service charge of 12.5% (£17.68) was added to my bill. It wasn’t really optional or discretionary as it was already included and one would feel cheap to have this removed as it was New Year’s Eve. I would have preferred the option of choosing my own ‘gratuity/tip’ when presented with the bill.

Ten minutes after leaving the restaurant I suddenly noticed that the £20 per person deposit of £40 had not been deducted from my bill. This “mistake” feels on purpose as all customers had to pay £20 per person to book. Surely, the staff would know when preparing the bill that £20 per person requires to be removed? I wonder how many customers left having paid that deposit but it was not deducted? After full belly and drinks it is easy to forget about the deposit.

Luckily I remembered. We walked back to the restaurant and when we were seen after another ‘wait’ there was no challenge or need to see receipt for the £40 as there was no doubt I paid deposit to secure my booking.

Again, I wonder how many customers left having paid that deposit but it was not deducted from their bill!

Leaving 2-stars as food was good and cocktails mediocre (we had very average tasting margaritas at £9.80 each). Otherwise, this would be a 1-star review due to the lack of service and deliberate overcharging.

I certainly will not be visiting this establishment again which is a shame as the food was good but let down by its staff and sub-standard service on what should have been a special date night on New Year’s Eve for my wife and I.
