We recently hired Margot from Staycation Scotland for a long weekend trip to Barra, taking along our two dogs, Gus and Barra, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Jules and her team at Staycation Scotland were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. The handover was thorough and made us feel completely confident before setting off on our adventure. Margot was immaculate, beautifully equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and stress-free trip.
Travelling to Barra in a campervan was the perfect way to explore, and Margot quickly became our home from home. She was easy to drive, comfortable to live in, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of space for us and the dogs. Gus and Barra settled in straight away and loved being part of the adventure.
The freedom of being able to wake up to stunning island views and explore at our own pace made the trip truly special. After long walks on Barra's beautiful beaches, it was wonderful to return to a warm, cosy campervan each evening.
Staycation Scotland clearly take great pride in their vehicles and customer service. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a memorable campervan holiday in Scotland.

We had a brilliant experience with Staycation Scotland! My partner and I rented Phoebe for a few days away. It was our first time on a campervan holiday but definitely won’t be the last!

We can’t recommend Staycation Scotland highly enough. The campers have everything you could need for your trip. The staff were so lovely and helpful-anything that we needed clarified or questions we had were answered. Everything from inital booking to returning went smoothly.

We hired Lyla for 10 nights for our NC500 (and Skye) trip, and it was the best decision we made. From start to finish Staycation Scotland were incredible to deal with, making all of our bucket-list-trip-dreams come true!

The van was incredibly clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to hire from Staycation Scotland again, we can't wait to come back and explore more of Scotland.

Having Frida the van for the week made all our Scotland Bucket List dreams possible. It was an incredible week spent in a very reliable, spacious van perfectly kitted out for the sunny evenings and rainy days. Cannot fault it and will definitely be hiring again in the future!

Was deciding between car rental and hotels or a campervan. So happy I went a camper, and couldn't have picked a better company than Staycation. The van, Tia, was perfect. The set-up and easy driving made this holiday the best thing I've ever done. Go explore with Staycation.

The welcome was especially good when we went to get the van. Very thorough, friendly and professional.
And checkout very smooth also.
The van was well equipped and clean - well presented & well maintained.
The suspension means you are at one with the road however but then it was our first trip in a van so perhaps that's just how it is!
The booking process and the run up to collecting the van is perhaps over systematised. There is so much information and so many emails (and a lot of repetition) that inevitably someone like me doesn't take it all in.
I missed the fact that it was Glasgow collection. I was certain we had arranged Edinburgh as Glasgow is really inconvenient for us but van was in Glasgow.
That said when I did reach out to the team then the responses were quick, helpful and friendly so there are really good people behind the standard bland emails.
So overall a great experience and any issues likely caused by my lack of attention to relevant detail!

We’ve just got back from a weekend away with Staycation Scotland in Gigi… and honestly, I don’t even know where to start.

Gigi had absolutely everything we could have needed — and then loads more on top. It was so comfortable, incredibly well thought out, and surprisingly easy to drive (which was a big win for me!). You can tell a lot of care has gone into every little detail.

The video instructions were a game changer. Clear, simple, and actually really reassuring when you’re not quite sure what to expect — it made the whole experience feel easy from the get-go.

I went into this not really knowing what campervanning would be like… and came out wondering why we haven’t done it sooner. This isn’t just campervanning — this is campervanning at luxury level.

And the team? Just brilliant. So helpful, so responsive, and genuinely lovely to deal with.

Honestly… 10 stars out of 5 ⭐️

Second time back using Staycation Scotland and we're already looking to book our 3rd. Vans are brillaint, staff are helpful and friendly, and the booking/online process is smooth and easy. It's honestly perfect - please don't sit on the edge, just book!

The experience with Staycation was incredible. The van works perfectly and we don't have any problem during our week trip. Check in and check out processes were very easy and clear. This was one of my better holiday experiences. I highly recommend hire Staycation services. For sure, we will repeat with them....Scotland Highlands was amazing!

What a brilliant time I had with staycation Scotland! It was my first time in scotland and i didnt really know the places to go but juile helped me with all of that, she sent me places to go/stop and best campsites to stay at. You get so many things included in your campervan, such great value and as i went solo, this could not be better. Will 100% will be booking with them again, What a lovely family business!

We have just arrived home from the most amazing NC500 adventure, we can honestly say that without our stunning van Olivia from Staycation Scotland it would never have been so perfect.
The camper was ideal, equipped with everything you need for a touring adventure and it was an absolute dream to drive. Looking at other vans along the way, ours felt luxurious, spacious and quirky - definitely top class. I especially loved the pink stripes 💕

The team really have thought of every detail including cosy lighting, a fab smeg kettle, mini air fryer, a hairdryer and outdoor chairs & a table for when the sun shines.
Jules, Simon and the team have been very welcoming and helpful thought the booking process, the collection and the drop off at the end. With this being our first camper trip they really did make us feel at ease, offering that they were available anytime if we needed help along the way.
I could not recommend them any higher, fantastic vans, friendly staff and the easiest set up. They are super dog friendly with an array of vans accommodating this, our pup Lottie loved riding shotgun in the back.

We will 100% be returning for another adventure very soon and recommending to as many friends as possible. 🩵

Just back from 4 nights staying in Frida, great van very comfortable has everything that is needed, dogs loved it too 🐶🚐🍷🗻

It started with a very warm welcome and thorough walkthrough and information about the ins and outs of Frida (our home for next three days).
The camper was well kept, well equiped, very spacious and felt luxurious. Also, staycation made sure all the mechanical parts were up par.

When we returned, we were offered a ride to where we needed to go. We left with a warm hug and a great feeling. Overall great service full of warmth and professionalism.

The van itself drove comfortabelly and intuitivly. It's easy to just set up, but also to pack up. Both processes would individually take 5 min max.

Unfortunately during our travels, storm Floris hitted scotland, so we had to change our plans and stay an extra day/night at our camping. Looking at other vans, ours was so spacial, it didnt even feel like we were cramped up. Instead, the van gave us so much comfort that we had a great experience. It completely made up for the lost day of travelling and experiencing scotland (even though we only had three days to explore scotland).

We are coming back to explore everything we missed, and we will definetely be booking frida to be our warm home for our future scottish adventures!

The team are all so friendly and genuinely helpful. I was apprehensive about driving the van and they talked me through it all step by step. Everything was explained to us in detail and they even helped us with something when we were away. So accommodating and definitely went the extra mile to ensure we had a great trip. The van had so many extras we didn’t have to worry about anything other than our itinerary. Jules and Simon gave us lots of recommendations for stops where were 10/10. Sasha was really helpful calming an anxious first time van driver and Susan was our first happy smiling face to greet us on arrival. Such an outstanding service the company provide. The vans are immaculate and so beautiful, the staff all warm, welcoming and so knowledgeable it’s clear they love their jobs. 💯 recommend Staycation Scotland to anyone thinking about hiring a camper we did the NC500 and they were just a message away for any questions even my silly ones. Amazing stellar service from a first class team. Wonderful from start to finish 10/10

Couldn’t recommend the Staycation team any more - firstly, the van was perfect. Size was perfect, obviously for us with a big dog as well, it was fab. The fit out was fantastic, we had everything we needed. It was a great drive.

But the team were second to none; they couldn’t have done enough for us. Everything from check-in, to during our “rent” and the check-out process. Honestly 5*, couldn’t recommend highly enough, and made our honeymoon memorable!
