BBB: Best bike brand

Been a long time desire to get a road bike, like proper one but without getting into the usual carbon stuff we find nowadays.

I am very happy I found a somewhat sporty steel bike (triebwerk, which looks to be between endurance and racey), looking classic but being modern at the same time. Received the bike August 8th 2025 and it's now november 8th - almost completed 5000km. Never rode this much. Bike feels lively, very responsive, corners fast, and is also a treat to look at. Cannot regret this purchase as I never rode as much as I am now with this.

At the Berlin showroom, staff is very friendly so buying experience was also excellent. Yeah in a vacuum the bikes may appear a bit pricey but I will not regret any cent I have put in there, this is well priced for high end steel in nowadays money, on par with what you see in the bike insdustry nowadays; so just this one is very good value for money.

I have not serviced the whole bike yet so just cannot talk through the home mechanic stuff. I am though a bit scared of internal routing on a steel bike, espcially around the bottom bracket area. But these are technicalities, does not detract from the riding experience.

On a side note, I bought a showroom bike (so with also some discount applied), therefore I cannot comment on the lead times in case you order brand new, or shipments, as the bike was already assembled and Standert just took a couple of days to perform few checks before I could go back home with my purchase from the Berlin showroom.

All in all, a well earned 5 stars.

J’ai bien reçu mon vélo Stander, avec un léger retard dû à un grand nombre de commandes — preuve de leur succès ! Malgré cela, le service client a été exemplaire : réactif, à l’écoute et toujours précis dans ses réponses. L’envoi a été bien suivi, et les délais annoncés ont été respectés une fois la commande expédiée.

Concernant le vélo, je suis tout simplement conquis. Il est magnifique, parfaitement fini, et on sent immédiatement la passion et le sérieux de la marque. Je suis passé d’un cadre carbone à un modèle en aluminium, et je n’aurais jamais imaginé prendre autant de plaisir à rouler. Le vélo est performant, joueur et tout simplement efficace — un vrai régal à chaque sortie !

Je mesure 1m68 et j’ai pris une taille 50, qui me correspond parfaitement : la position est naturelle et confortable.
Je recommande sans hésiter le Kreissäge à tous ceux qui recherchent un vélo à la fois beau, vif et d’une qualité irréprochable. Bravo à toute l’équipe Stander pour leur passion et leur excellent travail ! 🚴‍♂️🔥

The scandium RS Kreissage bike is great.
The purchase experience was not: paying for something that was not yet manufactured. The communication failures. The 12 week wait to get what I paid for.

I loved the online interface and the received package. But experience could have been made better with a personal video showing step by step how to assemble. Also did not appreciate lack of help when 1 component did not fit based on size estimate. Can’t you have some flexibility to exchange components or credit toward ordering replacements? It’s a gamble to know exact fit from an online order.

The team at Standert made ordering my new bike easy as can be. Josh was very helpful answering all my questions. Can't wait to get on my new Kreissage RS!

Das war gut:
- Marketing
- Das Rad, wenn man es fährt
- Sehr schnelle Rückmeldungen des Kundenservice

Das war nicht gut:
- Frameset bestellt, Gewinde im Tretlager musste nachgeschnitten werden. Ansonsten Montage des Tretlagers nicht möglich. Der laut Bestellbestätigung viel beschworene "Quality Check", Überprüfung jeder Schraube etc. fällt da wohl nicht darunter. Tatsächlich erfolgt die Lieferung der Einzelteile unverbaut. Nach der Mail von Standert habe ich mir mehr erwartet.
- Lieferzeit: Kommuniziert wurden sechs bis acht Wochen. Egal ob Frameset, oder Komplettbike. Ausgeliefert wurde nach elf Wochen. Aber erst nach Androhung einer Stornierung

Fazit: Marketing und Kommunikation top, die Ausführung leider unterirdisch.
Würde ich wieder kaufen? Ich bin mir nicht sicher

Great communication and desire to help, in finding the right size frame and color, plus a discount.

Ordered the new Kreissage RS 25 frameset 1 day after launch in North America on May 16, 2025.
It is now August 14, 2025, and there has still been no update. I'm not even sure if the frame has been built yet.

I've seen the quality of these bikes in person, and yes, they are amazing. That's why I ordered from this brand.

It's been 3 months, and by the time I receive this bike, it's going to be closer to 4 or more.

There has been no sense of urgency. I literally could've ordered 2 bikes from somewhere else and gotten them in the same time frame, even with these delays.

Every time I ask for an update, I am told the product will be ready by the start of the month, then I am told by the end of the month if I ask again.

If your manufacturers are holding you back, as a company doing business with them, YOU should be holding them accountable for their inability to hold YOUR company's standards and guidelines.

Free merchandise isn't going to fix the amount of money and time I have invested in your product.

I have bought items for this bike that are way beyond their return period.

I just wish they took things seriously because at this price point, you would expect to get at least better communication at the bare minimum

From start to finish, the whole experience was just fantastic. Their customer service was super friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. I really felt taken care of.

Shipping was quick and smooth too—everything arrived perfectly and right on time. You can tell these folks care deeply about what they do.

And the frame? Absolutely beautiful. The quality, the design, the attention to detail—it’s everything I hoped for and more. I have full confidence in riding this bike and can’t wait to get it out on the road.

Ich hatte keinerlei Probleme mit Bestellung und/oder dem Support. Mir wurde asap geholfen als ich Rückfragen hatte. Mehrfach sogar! Telefonisch und via Mail. Bin sehr zufrieden und freue mich auf die neue Reise. So kann man ein neues Lebensjahr definitiv beginnen ... thx!

I broke my Standert Frame and they won't replace it.

I am a competitive bike racer and needed a quick resolution, when their customer service team finally got back to me, they denied my claim and offered me a 25% discount.

I even emailed their CEO via LinkedIn - no response.

There are lots of bike companies to choose from, you don't want to buy from a company who won't stand by their product quality.

Really nice quality t-shirt took a very long time to ship to the UK (nearly a month!)

Item as described. Reasonable price. Fast delivery.

Customer service is really rotten, I had to wait 5 weeks to receive my frame because it had a defect in the headset. After calling 5 times, they finally sent me the frame without the fork axle. I was supposed to be reimbursed for the headset, but it's been 2 emails and 2 weeks and still no trace of my reimbursement.
Very disappointed with the brand and customer contact.
I will never buy from them again!
