Wasted days trying to pay them $700 – broken site, non-existent support
I spent days testing Sparkle’s free plan to verify my email list. The free tier worked reasonably well, so I decided to upgrade to the Business plan at $59.95/month – over $700 a year. I was ready to pay.
Then the problems started.
The upgrade page on their site is broken. No matter what I tried – different browsers, different devices – the payment form wouldn't work. There was no cursor, no way to enter my details. I was literally unable to give them my money.
I contacted customer support. The response time was two minutes per message. A two-minute delay for every single sentence. The agent offered basic troubleshooting (clear cache, use incognito, press the tab key) – none of it worked.
Then, mid-conversation, they stopped responding entirely. I sat there waiting. Nothing.
This is the level of support you get when you're trying to spend over $700 a year with them. If their payment system is this broken and their support team vanishes when you need help, what happens when you have a real issue with your email campaigns?
I took my $700 elsewhere. There are plenty of competitors who actually want your business.
Avoid Sparkle.io. The product might work, but if you can't sign up and their support disappears, none of that matters.
