South Farm Holiday Cottages and Fishery Recenzje 

Back from South Farm and already looking at a return date . Justin and the team really do cater for everything, both prior to arrival and during the stay in the fabulous cottages and farm house. There is fishing for every standard and 4 doubles amongst a number of fish in the three days is common. Both long and short breaks the attention to detail is brilliant. Peace and tranquility! Spot on team Thankyou !

Absolutely fantastic weekend at South Farm. My family have been coming to South Farm for many years and have never had a bad experience. We absolutely love South Farm and will definitely be back again soon!
I came to South Farm to surprise my Dad and Uncle for the weekend, as we have always fished around our birthdays every year, I contacted Justin who couldn’t have been more helpful. He made all of our weekends. Absolute top guy!!
Very warm and welcoming as always and on hand to help if you ever need him. He always goes above and beyond. Thank you South Farm and the biggest thank you to Justin.

The cottage was beautiful, with everything you needed (plus some extra thoughtful additions) and extremely clean - it matched the rest of the site!
Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome.

This is our third year at South Farm and there is no better place for a break and some good fishing

South Farm cottages was a great choice for our Family meet up in April with adults, children and 2 dogs. We booked 3 cottages and were still close enough to join up for a family BBQ in one of the gardens one evening. The children enjoyed the fishing experience {aided by some spare rods from Justin} and the Barn activities. Recommendations to visit the Donkey Sanctuary on the way to Sidmouth and its beach and rock pools. Good restaurants nearby. We were keen not to travel far on this holiday and found loads to do not that far away. Nice balance between family times and doing our own thing. We have already booked our return in August. Justin and his team were so welcoming and kind and the cottages were all very clean and well equipped. Stunning peacocks!!

Very accomodating and friendly staff. Quiet, peaceful countryside setting, numerous fishing lakes, and some lovely walks. Good aray of activities for children and a lovely pool. Would highly recommend.
We stayed as a winter let from December to April whilst we were moving to East Devon. The staff were great with our daughter, and it was a lovely base giving us some much needed homely charm. We loved the fire, and the views were beautiful, a wonderful place to unwind. If your lucky enough to go on your holidays here you won't be disappointed. Thanks again for everything x

1st time to South Farm
We stayed in Lake cottage, it was very well equipped & had everything we needed for our stay
My only negative was the sofa was very uncomfortable, which we did mention before we left.
The fishing was very hard, we put it down to the very cold weather
We have booked another week in July with friends, hopefully the weather will be better & the fishing

Having just spent 3 weeks in Lake cottage in February at Southfarm, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the whole team. They work tirelessly in all weathers and nothing is too much trouble for them. My stay was perfect, the fishing excellent, and excellent friendly customer service from Justin and Becky, thank you so much and I will see you soon.

We stayed in the beautiful Devon long house for a weekend. There was plenty of room for 16. The house was clean, warm and tastefully decorated.The views from the hot tub, across Devon, spectacular. The play barn was great for the children and adults. The staff could not have been more helpful. I highly recommend staying here and would stay again.

I am a little late in writing this review but we wanted to share how amazing our week holiday was at South Farm Holiday Cottages.
We stayed in Coshes Cottage which was clean, cosy, and had everything we needed for our family. The garden space with the amazing views and wildlife was just perfect. We enjoyed watching the sunset every evening.
The lakes were perfect place to teach my young children how to fish and after a few days, they had the confidence to do this more independently. We were all catching 10+ fish daily!
When the weather was not so good, my children absolutely loved the playbarn. It is packed with fun filled activities for all! Bella the cat made an appearance many times throughout the week, she is so beautiful and friendly.
Excellent facilities, so much to do that we were never bored.
Justin was absolutely wonderful. He has a busy man keeping the place running but had all the time to greet and talk to visitors. He really made us feel at home and the kids to feel welcomed. Thank you for the Christmas card Justin, we are hoping to visit again in the new year!

Beautiful location, spotlessly clean cottages and ve ry friendly helpful staff

We had a fantastic few days lovely spotlessly clean accommodation with everything we needed and a very warm welcome from the very attentive owners. The fishing was fantastic too

We had a great time- the house was very well equipped with plenty of space. Lots of lovely touches such as chocolate and Prosecco on arrival. Justin was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely come again

Regular visitor for 25 years, once again the stay was everything we hoped for

The property provides clean, comfortable, and well appointed accommodation. It was idea for a a group of us to spend the weekend fishing. Justin and Pippa are enthusiastic and welcoming hosts and there is plenty for the little ones in your family to keep them occupied.
The fishing provided by the lakes has a good variation in species, size and the skill required to catch.
Beautiful location.

This was our 2nd visit to South Farm and we had an enjoyable stay, weather wasn’t great up and down, we stayed in Carp lodge this time and all was good. Justin goes above and beyond to keep the place running with the help of Becky and the team, Justin is also at hand with fishing tips and is happy to help if needed. He works relentlessly to main the the complex, he has made it a really lovely place to visit since he took over the running of the farm back in May 2024, our 1st visit being Sept 2024 and the place was looking good then and now it is looking fantastic. Well done to Justin and his team. We have already booked for June next year with family and possibly will be booking for Sept next year as well!

Another fabulous stay at South Farm, this time in the “Coshes Gardens” accommodation, it was perfect for us with all the mod cons we needed.
A great weeks fishing was experienced on home lake with fish being caught everyday.
Justin has done a great job improving many aspects of the lake and I’m sure he’s got many more to come.
Ontop of that he provides many hints and tips to improve your catch rates.

We stayed at the farm for a week at the end of August. The house and lakes were lovely and well kept. The location and setting is superb and peaceful.

However our tranquility and break was short lived as we found the manger Justin to be a little ‘overbearing’. This ruined our stay and relaxation in honesty. This is not personal but hopefully constructive feedback. He is obviously a very passionate and proud of his site (and he should be as it’s lovely). Yet, we were left repeated notes with comments on, and all conversations and interactions over our first 3 days were him enforcing the rules of the site and what us or our kids had done wrong.

We totally understand that rules are there for a reason, yet these were not sent in advance to us at booking and/or we’re communicated inappropriately during our stay. For example, my kids were shouted at for using the pool at 9:50am but were told to leave as pool doesn’t open until 10am. There were no signs or notices of this at our private garden entrance. This is just one example there are several more over the course of our stay.

My wife and I were felt that all our actions as a family were being ‘watched’ and this wasn’t a nice feeling on holiday.

We would definitely return for the location and facilities but the welcome wasn’t what we expected which is such a shame.

Our forth time staying at south farm and it's always a pleasure the cottages are well equipped for all your needs, the fishing is always good and top quality fish and a lovely place to spend some time on the bank,the managers are helpful and at hand to make your stay remembell, and I'm sure we will be back,
