I bought Carousel a long time ago and had it in Ableton on an old Windows laptop. I was and still am very happy with the samples. When I saw that Carousel was now available for free, I was thrilled and wanted to install it on my iMac. Unfortunately, I didn't read the small print, otherwise I could have saved myself all the effort. I should have read what it says under "Format". My iMac is too old for to run the free Kontact version with the free Carousel version on it.
So I don't find the homepage very user-friendly. You have very good graphic designers and it all looks very nice, but I am distracted by the large images and miss what is important.

Don't really care for installing apps to install apps, at first the VST didn't register, had to sign out & sign in again before it showed up. That wasn't a big deal. All in all, it went fairly well.

Selection, transaction and download were simple, but required the use of company-specific portal style installation program. When you have libraries and plug-ins from 25 or 30 different companies, and each insist on having their own installation portal, a clean desktop becomes unnecessarily cluttered. This merits a deduction of 2 stars.

This has a good if limited sound. Kind of a one-trick pony, but it dose the trick well.

It was a little fiddly to get working the first time, me being unfamliliar with Kontakt, but the sounds are great and it’s nice and straightforward in the UI.
It was surprisingly hard to find decent bell sounds. Glad to say my search has ended. :)

Met geen mogelijkheid in contact te komen via website. Wilde een VST plug in kopen, maar bij 't aanmaken van een account krijg ik de melding dat mijn BTW nr niet correct is. Dat is het echter wel. Nou, zie dan maar eens een mailadres of telefoonnummer te vinden. Het maillogo onderin schrijft je in voor een nieuwsbrief, de link naar FB werkt niet... EDIT: Dank voor 't antwoord. Als ik naar de Contact/Supportpagina ga, vragen ze mij in te loggen....en tja, dat gaat niet dus.

Loaded it and never heard any sounds

In my limited experience with a free product from your company, I was encouraged to see that you weren't immediately trying to force other products on me. Offering a free version of a product and allowing me to decide upon the future of any relationship with your company is a refreshing change to "we gave you this now we're going to treat you like we're the only game in town. So what are you going to buy?" I have made subsequent purchases from companies who have convinced me through the quality of their free offerings and without being hassled by them literally within hours of my download and install. I like the instrument so far will be visiting your site again soon.
