We purchased a bike and the charger was bad, we did a facetime call with Sondors to show it was not working. He then filled out a form and emailed us the confirmation on the part that was going to be shipped out. 6 months later, we have not received the charger. I have called and left several messages and emails. Nobody will call or email back. This is horrible customer service, especially when you pay good money for a product. I want my money back for a bike I Can Not Use!!

Beware, as of November, 2023, Sondors is under investigation by the BBB. They are no longer accredited due a long list of customer grievences that go unaddressed by Sondors.
My experience with Sondors was pretty awful. My "refurbished" step through e-bike arrived damaged - not operable. Customer service required pictures and then ordered replacement parts for me to install. They issued a shipping notice a few days later that made it seem the parts were on the way. Weeks went by with no parts and people on the phone saying, "it should be there any day now". 6 weeks went by and I requested a return authorization. I was initially told a return was not possible because I opened the box. After pushing back I was told an RMA would have to be issued by accounting. Several more weeks, several more calls - no parts, no RMA and I can't even speak to a manager, much less, someone in accounting. After 3 months I did get the parts, but I didn't want the bike from a company that doesn't care about the customer - my request to return was reasonable and Sondors customer service did not care. The bike does work now after searching online how to turn the bike on - it's not intuitive, the button is hard to push at times and the bike came with no instructions. I'm kind enough to say, when working, it's not bad for the $599 plus shipping I paid, but it's really short on power to climb the slightest of hills as the battery is a bit under powered for a 60 lbs bike. The brakes are weak - For a level path it's a comfortable cruiser style bike. No one ever reached out to me nor honored my return request for receiving a damaged bike. I'd look elsewhere if I were you. I issued my grievance to the BBB - because I saw Sondors resolving some issues after others had complained. Sondors never did honor or address my request for a return. Beware buying from Sondors.
I like the bike quite a bit, but...
I like the bike quite a bit. The problem I have is that there is no place to take the bike for repairs. There is not a network of shops in place and no regular bike shop will work on an e-bike and e-bike shops will only work on bikes they sell. Sondors customer service will help with diagnosis and send replacement parts if you want to fix things yourself. But it can be a challenge to reach them in a timely manner.

It is very difficult to retro fit parts and seem to never be available in the website such as fenders, baskets, and lights etc. Also, the prongs for the battery as easily damaged when folding down the bike to place into vehicle. Clearly the design of the bike is clumsy with no regard to the weight and performance. I'm glad I got it on sale otherwise the review would have one star. Lastly, on a good note customer service is very responsive.

I’m generally happy with my ReCycled Smart Step. It only came with one key and none of the other accessories that come with a new one but still a good bike for the price. Instructions are an area that could use massive improvement. I didn’t get any and had to contact Sondors to figure out how to use the power switch. The switch isn’t intuitive and any time someone borrows the bike, I have to explain it to them. I ride it on the C&O Canal which it is perfect for. Very comfortable to ride for longer days on the tow path.

I even think about Sondors is a scam ! Since I purchased bike on August, It stays in the garage almost half a year, I don't know what I can do, if this is not another scam survey , please get someone to help me solve this problem. Absolutely the best bang for the eBike dollar. Beautiful designs. Quality name brand components. Fabulous customer service and support. I’ve owned 6 different Sondors and have enjoyed them all with no issues. Couldn’t recommend any products Sondors puts out.
I am new to the Sondors community
I am new to the Sondors community. I’ve bought the LX & Madmod (red). I love both of them and they are both running great. LX going on 2yrs in March, 1yr for the Madmod. Shipping was great, right to my door. After all the controversy with Sondors, I still have faith in storm that he will land on his feet and bring us more innovative designs ebike in the future. Every time I see ide my bikes I get looks and compliments. Thanks Storm Sondors!!

My SONDORS LX E-BIKE has had problems from Day 1? I have barely been able to ride it because of all the crappy parts breaking on it, even though it is advertised as "premium"? Recently the the Front Shock blew up & hit me REALLY hard in the side of my head; causing blood to drip down my face? I contacted SONDORS but they have REFUSED to replace my Front Shock with a non DEFECTIVE one? Only 1 small shop will touch it & they said they will ONLY replace the Front Shocks with RockShox which start at like $600? It's sitting in my Apt collecting dust. I want a FULL Refund or a New Front RockShox. I Filed a Complaint with the Better Business Bureau & SONDORS just ignored it? I just came into some money & bought a New SPECIALIZED TURBO COMO 5.0 IGH & it is AWESOME!
