Amazing learning experience! Would highly recommend Solve to others!
I discovered Solve through my bachelor in Design & Business, at VIA Design (Denmark), where Cristina Dan (the founder of Solve) was a guest speaker and a workshop facilitator. After launching the Omdanne collection, Cristina’s work was often used by my teachers as a positive example and inspirational design concept (e.g. throughout lectures and private guidance sessions). She soon started organising thematic talks corresponding to specific courses. Later on, Cristina became one of the mentors at the university incubator, “VIA Student Incubator”, where together with another designer (Stine Sandermann), she hosted the “Sustainable Innovation Traineeship”, an extracurricular series of talks & hands-on workshops on sustainability, circular economy, user-driven design, business innovation and more. I personally attended this traineeship two years in a row, because I loved it so much! And what I loved most about it was the amazing community Cristina managed to build: creating an inviting space for knowledge sharing (e.g. educational sources/events), providing relevant feedback, celebrating good ideas and inspiring us all to believe in the future of a better world, by creating it ourselves!
I genuinely believe Cristina’s enthusiasm is contagious and that she is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had!
