Initially not good, but got a lot better
Initially, very convoluted service, different people within their organisation not talking to each other, leading to double cross of info. However got a lot better towards the end. Ella done her very best to turn it around to a succesful conclusion
My honest opinion, is listen more to your clients and take onboard our concerns as sellers. Other than that, good job

Just sold an apartment with Sold
Just sold an apartment with Sold. They were extremely professional from start to finish, with our initial contact with Chris and then with our sales progressor Ella. In fact, Ella went above and beyond, dealing and chasing up the solicitors on both sides of the sale with instantaneous results and she was the one keeping my stress levels to a minimum! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use Sold again, all in all a great company!

Quick sale
Apart from some initial teething problems with viewings and communication we were very happy with Sold. Photos were very good and done very quickly. I was able to add to the house description to tailor it to our home and negotiate an asking price with them.
We accepted our full asking price within about 4 weeks even though there was plenty of other competition out there.

False hope
Initially offered a cash offer of 75% of the estimated property value. They then reduced it to 15% based on misunderstanding information from an estate agent who had just sold a neighbouring party. They said they could then get me a better offer from the investment side of the business, which was still around 60%. Thankfully my onwards purchase doesn't require this property to sell, as I would've wasted weeks with this company.

House Sale - Well deserved 5 stars
Well deserved 5 stars. What can I say. From dealing with viewings to finalising the sale. You kept me updated throughout and it wasn't exactly a straightforward sale. Thea you were amazing. I cannot thank you enough for getting my property over the line. It still feels like a dream but it's real. I can't believe it after a very stressful and difficult house sale. Sold and Thea made the impossible possible. Other agents and cash buyers failed but your company stuck with me through to the end. Thank you so much. Buyers beware...
I can't say my experience as a buyer with sold.co.uk has been at all positive. Having had an offer accepted on the property by the seller Sold continue to send viewings (I know this as I live next door). Attempts to provide the required evidence of funding and other documentation to allow Sold to "take the house off the market" are being frustrated by staff that don't answer emails, pick up the phone, return calls and keep moving the goalposts. The experience has been stressful and it's only the beginning!

Hi Ian, we have been speaking to your daughter in relation to the offer placed on the property.
Whilst we understand the frustration, the funds for the purchase needed to be verified as do ID & Proof of Address for all purchasers. It is far more complicated than simply showing a bank statement. Large cash funds require us to pass our Businesses Compliance checks and Anti-Money Laundering processes. As an Online Agent, we do not meet our Buyers face-to-face, thus the need to comply with strict guidelines set by our business or risk fines form the HMRC of thousands of pounds.
We do hope you can appreciate nobody is above this process, and until our compliance team is satisfied, we are unable to proceed into Legal as per our Businesses guidelines.
Furthermore, our Sales Negotiator had been clear from the start that unless we satisfy the above the property will remain on the market. Your daughter has already been informed by the Sales Team that compliance had reviewed all documents and the property was listed as Sold Subject to Contract. This takes time to action on the portals as we do not control them.
We understand this may not be a process you are used to or happy with, but we have been clear on our requirements from the start and must abide by our businesses Legal requirements.

Great experience
My contact was Thea Willsmore and she kept me updated every step of the way during the whole process. Even at periods of the natural wait for things to be processed she checked in to keep me in know.
The company and Thea on the whole made the process of selling my house very easy and pain free. They accommodated my busy work schedule at times when I could be awkward.

Lies to sellers - INVOICE FRAUD BUYERS BEWARE
UPDATE: The house was posted back on the market a couple of months later and we arranged a viewing. The seller was shocked to see us back. The seller said Sold agents told him false information and never told him the new offer we made and simply told him we were only approved for 125k mortgage and couldn't afford the house. Costing us both. BUYERS SHOULD NOT PAY AGENT FEES do not fall victim to this company.
INVOICE FRAUD BUYERS BEWARE. They will push their solicitors on you and then embezzle funds off the solicitor quote hiding it as fees for the solicitor. They say it is a solicitor open file fee but that money goes to sold and not the solicitor so if the sale falls through they still get paid. When Sold was asked they said it is a fee to have the offer accepted. Take on a local agent that cares about sellers and buyers.
They also valued the sellers home too high which made a headache for the seller later on as well. Not to be trusted with your home. If you see sold.co.uk stay away!

The file opening fee, as clearly outlined in our terms and conditions, covers the initial administrative work required to set up your case and is payable to the agent upon agreement of a sale (subject to contract). This fee is non-refundable and ensures that we can provide the necessary support and processing from the outset.
Additionally, property valuations are conducted independently, and while we aim to advise accurately, market conditions can sometimes lead to down valuations. In this instance, the valuation outcome was beyond our control, and the seller ultimately chose not to proceed.
We appreciate your feedback and are always working to improve our service for both buyers and sellers.

I cannot recommend this company enough and after wasting five months and no viewings with the developers who promised a sale, and only three viewings in three months with another agent, I've got a deal within two weeks. This company is a pleasure to deal with and I can especially recommend Dahnish Khan 5*

Buyers be cautious of dealing with this agency
Buyers- they will push you to use their in house solicitor then ask for a file open fee for the solicitor. The fee does not go to the solicitor in fact they were surprised when I brought it up.
After our transaction fell through due to the seller backing out (the house was overvalued by the seller) they ghosted us. They are pinching money off buyers. The solicitors also take a week to respond. Get someone local and don't be taken advantage of by this dishonest bunch.
Update: Your employees clearly stated in an email which I provided you as well as your invoice you sent us stated that the fee was for the solicitor to open file with us not yourselves. This is invoice fraud. Dropped to 1 star rating from 2.

As stated clearly in the terms and conditions provided to all buyers, the non-refundable fee covers the cost of the initial administration work on your case and is payable to the agent once a sale or purchase has been agreed (subject to contract). This was communicated transparently from the outset.
Regarding the transaction that fell through, it’s important to clarify that the property was downvalued during the valuation process, which was beyond our control. The vendor chose not to accept the downvaluation, which unfortunately led to the transaction not proceeding. We understand your frustration, but this situation was driven by factors outside of our influence.
We strive to provide clear and fair communication throughout the process. If there are any further concerns, we're more than happy to discuss them directly to ensure there is no confusion.

I've had a very good customer service…
I've had a very good customer service from sold. Co. Uk, Dahnish Khan has been amazing quickly sorting my house out with the relevant people, only took a week to get pictures and went live then viewings which I received an offer from a buyer. It is now in the process of the sale going through, I would highly recommend the company to sell your property for you.
