We have had our 11 solar panels fitted by SOLARhome in April 23 . We have been very happy from the start of this process which involved the initial visit for the overview of the product, survey, and installation . We found we could fit an extra 2 panels after the survey and this modification was easily implemented. We decided on the SOLARhome installed panels as their use of glass on both sides of the panels was a clear benefit for the long life of the panels and electricity production. Furthermore the process to obtain information from the installer to import excess electricity into the grid was smooth, as I've heard from friends that this process took a lot longer with other suppliers.

Since the install we are very happy to give 5 stars out of 5 where the panels have provided enough power to provide the electricity we need and to offset our gas bill. Even in mid October, on clear sunny days, the 11 panels were producing over 20 kWh, double our daily use.

The customer services were very helpful when we queried to modify the battery settings using the app in order to charge the battery from the grid using the cheapest rate. If you do this, make sure the battery is also set to " discharge " for the remaining time as the battery will not be fully utilised and the grid power will be the primary source our power.

EG Battery settings using TOU :

00;00 - 1:59 discharge (to power home )
2:00 - 5:00 charge ( from grid )
5:01 - 11.59 discharge ( to power home )

5 stars for work done but 4 stars for returning calls for questions that required an answer asked the boss about batteries never returned call other than that superb service

Had a great experience from start to finish, with the added bonus of speaking with technical support who has explained everything in simple layman’s terms. Surveyor was excellent and helped us make the decision to have a battery fitted (well worth having). Fitters were excellent, rang ahead day before, all very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. All completed within the same day. Had some issues with understanding how it works and what we should be seeing on the app. All explained over the phone from tech support.
Cannot fault the whole process. Also there is a referral system in place, worth using if you like to tell your neighbours all about your solar etc.

Sales guy was much more informed than others from the companies I have approchaed. The actual installation went very smooth and the team went the extra mile to ensure all cables are passed in such a way that no drilling was needed, but still remained hidden behind the walls.

Genuinely excellent company. Brilliant customer service from all: salesperson, office staff, follow on support. I’ve been so so delighted with my solar panels and the amount of electricity they generate. Am now saving up for a second battery as my first is full by lunchtime most day. No hesitation in recommending solar home or solar panels!!

Sales person informative and easy to liaise with. Office Management responsive and helpful. Installation straightforward and efficient. Product of good quality and Solar Panels look smart.

Good sales team, but unfortunately the after sales service is not very good.. you can't call someone directly to sort your technical problems out, my friend had to wait weeks to get an inverter issue sorted!

Put the panels up with in a day. Showed me the connections box. Only thing is I wasn't shown how to connect to an electricity supplier.

All went well, clean tidy & efficient workmen.

Solarhome were a little slow off the mark possibly due to equipment availability but the install was done very well, professional team and very tidy install. The system is brilliant and works very well almost eliminating our energy bills.

Fitters were very good. Minimal disruption.

Solarhome gave a good selling presentation and while not the cheapest, the quality of the hardware and the guarantee made it our choice. The installation was neat and efficient and although it threw up some problems with our site the engineers were excellent and suggested alternative strategies which we accepted and they completed an excellent job. The system works well and is neat. There seemed to be a slight lack of documentation and general information but that was rectified by calling the helpful and informative office team. Overall we are very happy and the system works well.
