Social Work First are a newly formed agency with one goal in mind, to put social workers first. The directors of SWF have extensive experience of recruiting within social care and are looking to break the mould of agencies within the sector. SWF are looking to engage with social workers across the country and build a community that promotes the successes and welfare of social workers in the UK. With demand increasing year on year for experienced social workers, we have seen the toll this has taken on the workforce and are acutely aware of how SWs are often overlooked and undervalued. Social Work First have a goal of bringing social workers back into the spotlight and highlighting the outstanding work they do on a day-to-day basis, promoting workers welfare and having honest conversations around the daily issues and concerns they face. Amazing experience
I was a little nervous moving into a locum role however, Matt has been so supportive and reassurance since the initial contact that I had with him.
I feel confident that Matt prioritises my best interests and is so responsive to my queries and questions.
The conversations I have had with other members of social work first have also all been so pleasant and friendly and everyone has been really helpful. This is specifically in regards to Kenzi and Stacey.

I have been with Social Work First for a year and three months now.
Matt Burger sourced me out and he has since been my go to person at the agency.
He is helpful, professional and empathetic. I describe Matt and the team as “a company that takes care of their own”

Great Communication
Luke has kept me updated and informed in regard to opportunities and has provided excellent advice when required. The agency has supported my seamless transfer into the agency world and one which I am enjoying.
