Abysmal service and underwhelming care
Despite having given SNE Care the chance to improve service got worse.
A meeting had been previously held involving Adult Social Services; SNE Care; my Aunt and her LPAs where all the areas of concern were discussed. Despite SNE acknowledging her care had been “less that’s satisfactory” none of the improvements promised materialised. It appeared for SNE Care management team this was purely a box ticking exercise as when we asked carers they had not been notified of any of the changes at all.
There are one of two carers within the care team who were kind, considerate, patient and everything you would want a carer to be. Unfortunately, the majority were not whether this is caused by a language barrier, due to work load, lack of training, insufficient employment screening or they simply do not care I cannot comment. I accept my Aunt is not easy to care for as she has Parkinson’s and terminal cancer so extremely forgetful however SNE Cares actions added to this misery despite claiming this is their specialist area.
The final straw was when Adult Social Services notified them of a concern for care as they had witnessed several instances. We presume it was the day that SNE received this they attended at breakfast as per normal. That same day at 12 o’clock when checking SNE’s app we discovered SNE had cancelled the care package completely without notifying Adult Social Services or ourselves. Unprofessional to the end
