An $11,504 Appraisal, a $2,804 Award, and a Complete Waste of Time and Money
I hired SnapClaim for my 2025 Cadillac XT6's diminished-value claim. I got an inflated-looking appraisal, a failed court referral, abysmal communication, and serious doubts about the value of its services.
SnapClaim valued my loss at $11,504. The independent umpire awarded $2,804 — an $8,700 discrepancy. Its appraisal was 310% higher than the final award, representing a staggering 76% reduction from its original valuation.
I chose SnapClaim for its claimed expertise in buyer perception and the lost marketability of accident-damaged luxury vehicles. Yet it never convincingly explained the enormous discrepancy with objective evidence.
The insurer initially offered approximately $800. Through negotiations I conducted myself, with some assistance from SnapClaim, the insurer's appraiser increased the offer to $1,500.
After months of delays and additional expenses, the umpire awarded just $1,304 more — before deducting my additional costs. Was that marginal improvement worth the expense and aggravation?
SnapClaim referred me to Squabble for small claims. Despite attorney review, the filing had defendant-identification and venue problems. It failed, costing time and money, and I had to file for dismissal myself. What was the attorney review for?
Afterward, SnapClaim tossed the dispute to the umpire, seemingly abandoning responsibility for explaining its valuation.
When I authorized proceeding, I requested the umpire's name and licensing information AND an explanation of how SnapClaim's appraiser defended its $11,504 valuation against the insurer's assessment. Neither request received a substantive response. The next communication was a request to pay the umpire's invoice.
Questions about documentation, methodology, and accountability got generic, sometimes one-line replies.
SnapClaim repeatedly insisted it could not provide legal advice. I NEVER ASKED FOR LEGAL ADVICE. I asked for evidence supporting its appraisal, an explanation of its methodology, transparency, and accountability. These were questions about the professional service I purchased, not requests for legal counsel.
After the $2,804 award, I again asked where the objective market evidence was supporting SnapClaim's original valuation. Instead of explaining, SnapClaim emphasized that the umpire's decision was final, its work complete, and its contractual guarantee satisfied.
I escalated my concerns to Sam, a SnapClaim manager, seeking a substantive defense of the $11,504 appraisal. I received no meaningful explanation or supporting evidence. If management cannot defend its own company's appraisal, what exactly are customers paying for?
Another particularly dismissive response was SnapClaim's repeated assertion that "appraisals are opinions." Of course they are. But I didn't pay for an unsupported opinion. I paid for a professional valuation grounded in objective market evidence and defensible methodology. Opinions are easy to offer; credible appraisals require evidence.
SnapClaim apparently considers this successful because the award exceeded the insurer's original offer by more than $1,000. That is a remarkably low standard of success. Satisfying a contractual guarantee does not establish that an appraisal was credible or that customers received meaningful value.
Insurance companies may lowball claims, but my experience raises the opposite concern: appraisals too high to defend. I cannot speak to SnapClaim's motives.
A contractual guarantee is not a substitute for a credible appraisal. A final award is not an explanation. Dismissing legitimate questions is not accountability.
My experience with SnapClaim was a complete waste of time and money. I believe I could have achieved a comparable result independently, much faster and at considerably less expense.
I paid for expertise and accountability. Instead, I got an appraisal that wasn't sustained, a failed court referral, and unanswered questions.
I would never use SnapClaim again. What good is an impressive appraisal if the company cannot convincingly defend it?

Snapclaim did a phenomenal job helping me get the most out of my situation. They were extremely prompt and responsive throughout the entire process and provided all the details, guidance, and information I needed. I really appreciated how professional and thorough they were from start to finish. I highly recommend Snapclaim to anyone who needs help navigating a claim.
Worth the money!
I sent Snapclaim my information and they created a very detailed report. It was instrumental in the negotiations for my diminished value claim. This report was the reason I was able to recover $4500 more than their initial offer! Customer service was also very quick to respond to my questions. Highly recommend them to anyone needing evidence to support your claim!
Great experience - worth the fee
Great experience! Their report was very thorough and helped budge the insurance company into reality. I didn’t even have to go to small claims. Well worth the fee and reasonable. Will use them again if needed.
Turned a $2000 offer into $4500
My 2025 Mazda CX-50 got rear-ended, and after the repairs my insurer opened with a $2,000 diminished value offer. They told me I could submit market data if I thought the number should be higher, so I ordered an appraisal from SnapClaim. It came back within 24 hours and was more thorough than I expected with pre-loss and post-loss values side by side, each backed by real comparable listings with every adjustment shown line by line, plus Kelley Blue Book and Black Book valuations to support them. It also documented the repair severity classification, which mattered in my case because the damage was cosmetic rather than structural.
I attached the report to my reply and the insurer came back at $4,500 which is $2,500 more than they originally offered. I don't think that happens without the report; on my own I was just arguing my opinion against theirs. Their refund policy is also genuinely customer-friendly: if the offer hadn't gone up by at least the $350 fee, they would have refunded it. Easy recommendation for anyone who needs a quick, credible appraisal.
SnapClaim is my go-to independent appraiser!
SnapClaim was fast and they helped me get thousands more than what was originally offered. Their price was better than many other independent appraisers and their report quality was top notch. I highly recommend them!
Great Diminished Value Report
I worked with Snapclaim on a third-party diminished value claim and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Their DV report was thorough, well-documented, and clearly effective — it gave my claim real backing. When Geico initially pushed back and challenged the numbers, Snapclaim’s customer service was excellent. They were responsive, knew exactly how to address the insurer’s objections, and stood behind their work every step of the way. In the end the claim was resolved successfully. Highly recommend if you’re dealing with a diminished value claim.

"I had a fantastic experience using SnapClaim. I was feeling overwhelmed by the insurance claims process after my accident, and SnapClaim was there to guide me from the very beginning to the end. They provided me with a professional, data-backed appraisal report that made all the difference in my negotiations. What I appreciated most was the clarity and speed of their service—they helped me understand my rights regarding diminished value, which is something I might have otherwise overlooked. Their team was responsive, and their documentation was exactly what was needed to push back on the initial offer. I feel much more confident having had their support. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to recover their fair financial losses after an accident!"

Overall, Snapclaim offers a reliable service with extensive professional knowledge to people without much experience on total loss claims
Fast, Efficient and Thorough.
I got into a wreck and my vehicle was totaled. I knew my insurance was short paying me, I got some comps and sent to my insurance but they would not bulge, I would still have over 6000 dollars left on my loan. I found snapclaims around 5am in the morning on a Saturday, I requested for a report which I got very early Monday morning. I called snapclaims and they guided me on my next steps. I invoked my appraisal clause, and Snapclaim agents went into work. I am happy to report my insurance behaved almost immediately. And my loan will be paid off, plus I get a litlle something in my pocket😂😂😂. I highly recommend Snap claims
Thousands over offer
We really struggled coming to an agreement with our insurance company. SnapClaim was easy to use and we ended up getting thousands more than our insurance was willing to offer working with us directly.
The result really speaks for itself
The result really speaks for itself. When the insurance company agreed to pay the exact amount that’s estimated by Snapclaim without any negotiations, it was like a chatGPT moment for me.
Easy and Effective

Total Loss appraisal and Appraisal Clause using SnapClaim
I had a great experience with SnapClaim after my 2024 Subaru was totaled. My insurance company’s initial offer seemed too low compared to similar vehicles on the market. While researching options, I came across SnapClaim and used their free estimate tool. Their estimate came back about $6,000 higher than what my insurance company offered, which immediately made me question the insurer’s valuation.
Emily from their support team answered all of my questions and clearly explained the appraisal clause process. I decided to move forward and invoked the appraisal clause with their help. They charged a flat fee of $350, which was significantly lower than other competitors I looked into.
They handled the negotiation directly with the insurance company’s appraiser and were able to get me $4,800 more than the original insurance offer (before tax). The whole process was surprisingly fast and everything was resolved in just four days.
Overall, it was a great deal and a very smooth experience. If you think your insurance payout is too low after a total loss, I highly recommend giving SnapClaim a try.

I recently used SnapClaim for a diminished value appraisal after my 2024 Kia was involved in an accident in Madison. Initially, the insurance company declined my diminished value claim completely, saying they would not pay anything. After submitting the SnapClaim appraisal report and using it during the negotiation process, I was able to successfully recover $4,500 in diminished value. The report was detailed and clearly explained the loss in market value, which made it much easier to support my claim with the insurer.
What really stood out was the SnapClaim support team. They were very quick to respond whenever I had questions and guided me on how to communicate with the insurance company. When the insurer pushed back, the team helped me understand how to respond and supported me throughout the negotiation process. Their responsiveness and guidance made the entire experience much smoother and gave me confidence while dealing with the claim.

After my 2023 Dodge Durango (about 40k miles) was rear-ended, the insurance company covered the repairs but denied any diminished value. They basically said there was no measurable loss.
That didn’t sit right with me. The car now has an accident on its record, and anyone who’s bought or traded a vehicle knows that affects resale value. Dealers check Carfax, and cars with accident history usually sell for less or sit longer on the lot.
I decided to hire SnapClaim to see if it was even worth pursuing.
They prepared a detailed appraisal report comparing my vehicle to similar Durangos , same year, trim, and adjusted by mileage , with and without accident history. The value difference was clearly documented using actual market listings, not just some generic formula.
They also helped me respond to the insurance company’s pushback. The insurer initially tried to dismiss the report, but once I submitted everything properly and continued negotiations, they eventually increased their offer.
What I appreciated most was that SnapClaim didn’t overpromise. They were straightforward about the process and explained that negotiation is usually required. Communication was solid and they responded whenever I had questions.
If your insurance company says your car has no diminished value after an accident, it may be worth getting a professional appraisal. In my case, it definitely made a difference.
