This was our second trip with SmoothRed. Our original plan was a weeklong trip to London and Paris in 2020. The pandemic turned that into a week in France in 2021 and, this year, 10 days in the UK.
The staff at SmoothRed did an excellent job planning a wonderful trip for our family of 5. We began in the Cotswolds with a 2-night stay at the Lygon Arms in Broadway. The hotel has an excellent staff, superb accommodations, and delicious food. We had a great tour of the countryside with a knowledgeable and friendly guide.
On the way to London, we spent a lovely day in Oxford touring where our daughter spent the spring semester.
In London, we stayed at the Rubens at the Palace Hotel. Again, wonderful staff and great food. The rooms were smaller but very comfortable. Our guide, Dave, took us to Richmond to tour Ted Lasso sites and then on a walking tour of Killing Eve sites along with the main sites in London. The best surprise was the private tour of the Tower of London with a Beefeater. We had front-row positions for the Ceremony of the Keys and an amazing experience.
Next, we took the train to Glasgow and drove to the Isle of Eriska. It is a lovely private island with the main house and other off-site accommodations. Our stay at Arnott's House was very comfortable. From Eriska, our driver, Stephen, took us on great tours of the Scottish countryside. The staff of SmoothRed picked great tours and wonderful restaurants in the area.
Finally, we spent a day and a half in Edinburgh. Fiona took us on a wonderful walking tour of the Royal Mile with great insight and stories.
The staff of SmoothRed listened to our preferences and planned an absolutely amazing trip for us and we are very grateful.

Brilliant holiday of Wine tasting to Bordeaux! Tour guides were exceptional. Everyone at SmoothRed was so helpful and went that extra mile every time we needed something. Highly recommended will definitely use them again. Great Value for money.

We had a really great 5 day tour of the Bordeaux wine regions. Superb hotels, excellent transport and guides and wonderful food. Everyone we met was helpful, friendly and very efficient, both in the planning beforehand and whilst we were away in France.
The day at leisure in St Emilion in a lovely Chateau Hotel was very enjoyable.
Even the flights were on time!

I've been travelling with SmoothRed for a few years now and they just never disappoint. This trip was a 4 night verging on 5 day trip to Piedmont. Everything was superb, beautiful hotel with amazing food, service and views, fabulous guide, brilliant restaurants and some wonderful wine tastings. They even fitted in a truffle hunt which was great fun. Could only fault the trip by being super picky.....roll on our next one

SmoothRed created an amazing itinerary in France for our 2022 family adventure. 17 of us journeyed from the USA to Paris and then the Provence region.

The SmoothRed team booked all our travel and transfers, arranged lodging, and facilitated tours and activities in both locations.

We could not have been more pleased with the quality at each step along the way. We were comfortable and well cared for, enabling everyone from ages 13 to 78 to explore and experience France at their own pace.

Most grateful and impressed in three areas: collaboration during planning (there was a lot of discussion to set the right tone and choose the appropriate options for our group); mid-trip support during travel challenges and/or needs for adjustment; and the selection of tour guides - all were tremendously impressed.

Just back from a fantastic time exploring the wineries of Rioja. It was a really well organised trip. All the staff at Smoothred were so friendly and helpful. Our guide in Rioja was charming. He took us to a real mixture of smaller boutique and larger wineries, we also had a chance to explore some of the medieval villages between our tasting sessions. MARVELLOUS xx

SmoothRed was a pleasure to work with right from the start. Cristine planned an amazing trip for me and my husband through the Piedmont and Tuscany regions of Italy. She also arranged reservations for our 30th anniversary dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant. The resorts were wonderful, the scenery gorgeous and the tours varied. We brought home some wine and are looking forward to sharing it, along with pictures and stories, with our friends. Thank you for an amazing anniversary trip. We will definitely book another trip with SmoothRed.

Just returned from a wonderful 3 days at the Bordeaux Wine Festival - Smooth Red arranged everything and the trip was faultless. The app was fantastic and meant everything was there for you, and all the tours were did were fun and informative. Would highly recommend...........

I can thoroughly recommend SmoothRed. COVID messed our plans up for 2 whole years, but the whole experience of changing and rescheduling was totally painless. Once we were underway the app with the day-by-day itinerary, links to maps and restaurants and contact details was brilliant. The hotels and guides were all superb. The whole experience was smoooooooth from start to finish. If you want to explore a region and learn about wines from friendly experts with access to all the right people and places, then give them a call!

The following was excellent regarding our experience with Smoothred: Smoothred staff...especially Andra. Taking care of the incredible amount of details for a 3 week trip to Europe. The Smoothred app was great. It answered all our questions, provided us our plane and theater tickets etc. We were able to get a hold of Smoothred easily. The travel guides were top notch. We used a lot of private tour guides and they were great. We've never used a travel agent and this was a great experience. Thank you very much Smoothred.

It was going to be hard for SmoothRed to equal the wonderful tour of Provence we took with them in 2019, all the same for our latest tour of Lombardy and Emilia Romagna in Italy – Parma, Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna, Verona and Mantua – they managed to defy the odds, and Covid, and give us another memorable experience. Catering to our particular interests in art, music, and antiquities, they provided expert guides with deep knowledge of the sites we visited, to the extent of arranging a visit to an archive not generally available for public viewing. Our plans were on hold for two years because of Covid. We are grateful to Adam Stebbings for staying with our project, and thank Christina Mircea for her expert planning and management of our trip, based on her personal knowledge of the region.

Such a professional company to deal with who really listened to our wishes prior to booking. They put together a great schedule including a private tour of three champagne houses ( salmon, Moët and Chandon and Lancelolot Royer ) including a walk around Hatviers village and a French three course meal with wine pairings.

Day two we did an an e-bike tour through the vineyards and went to a smaller champagne house Fernard Lemaire where we sampled our favourite champagne! The day ended with a lovely traditional French lunch and champagne with our tour group in the beautiful Le Clos Courbier champagne house.

We and our clients had a fabulous time in Rioja. SmoothRed’s organisation was first class and our guide, Celia, was excellent – and she was very patient with 6 inebriated gentlemen! The accommodation was of a good standard, comfortable and well-located. The tasting sessions were fun and informative. Overall we were very happy with SmoothRed and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others thinking of a wine tour in Rioja.

Outstanding experience with Smooth Red from start to finish. From the speed of the initial response all the way through to the immediate follow-up after the trip, I received nothing short of a five-star + service. Huge thanks to Chris for the design of the trip which covered everything we were looking for, and more, to Kamen who helped arrange our travel logistics, and restaurant bookings (recommendations were superb by the way!). I have already recommended the Team to a few friends, and if I am ever considering another wine tasting experience, Chris will be my first call!

From start to finish Chris and the team at SmoothRed took on board my initially vague requirements and came up with a suggested trip that was perfect with limited input from me ! The trip to Reims which included an e-bike tour through the vineyards of Champagne was a treat for myself and a friend and excuse the pun but it was Smooth from start to finish. The app was really useful providing all our travel documents in one place and a detailed itinerary for each day including suggestions for restaurants and things to do and see in the local area. The team also booked us a visit to Veuve Cliquot and again ensured that this fitted in with everything else. The ebikes through the Vineyards , with champagne tasting and then a meal was just lovely, all well timed and thought out with an excellent guide. Both my friend and I are experienced travelers and would normally book all of our own travel arrangements but due to time pressures we decided to leave it to the experts! I'm glad we did, the team at Smooth red made sure that we had trip to remember and we will use them again , to Chris and the team Salut and thank you !

Where to start. Took a party of 27 to Champagne, what an incredible experience. From the start Smoothred helped to plan and arrange the trip. Even when we had to change and amend dates they were always helpful and understanding. The event was truly amazing, made all the better by Andra who was there with us on the trip.
I can’t recommend Smoothred enough, they are simply wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Champagne with SmoothRed. The booking process was seamless, our guide Katia was wonderful - extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
