Be very careful with them. They're friendly and responsive on the phone when signing up but once you're a customer, you can only contact via webform, the phone line is inactive.
they also have a 12-month cancellation clause in the contracts even after your initial term is finished. Regular missed collections for the bins and then overweight charges when they're inevitably heavier a week later.
Find a better provider, there's plenty.
Poor service. Ordered a Enclosed skip (at a premium), and delivered a standard open skip. This skip was filled by my team as needed to put the rubbish somewhere. Was told they could replace as a 'gesture of goodwill' despite it being their mistake, and only if the skip was empty. Would have to get the team to unload the whole skip, not an option. Would not offer a discount on delivering the wrong skip. Customer service is important for returning customers. Would not recommend
If I would give 0 star I would do that. Please avoid this company as your skips provider. 1. Once you are with them you can never contact (call) their customer service, what you can do is email which take weeks to reply. 2. They charge overweight bins although it isn't! Need to beware of this. 3, Once you signed contract you have to submit termination notice before 6months - 1 year which is a real trap! 4. After termination you will have to pay another fee just to empty your bin, otherwise they wouldn't collect it!
Been with these guys for such a long time and everytime there is an issue they are beyond appalling at sorting it out. Snotty responses, no one actually looking into what is often a very simple enquiry. Worst customer service staff ever. Wrong billing. Bone idle bin men. So frustrating when trying sort an issue...just crap!
I am been with skips and bin for the last 7 years , their service is good apart from they put their prices up without any notice to you , which upon request they reduce as well , but recently I have to close the doors and my account is up to date with the payments I requested to give the final invoice according to them which I did but still waiting for that
Will pull any excuse they can to justify why they’ve not collected your bin as scheduled. Charge you for the missed collection and then bill you an excess waste charge on the next collection. Please don’t fall for this truly dreadful company. I wish I hadn’t.
Avoid this company at all costs
So in 2021 they come to my place of work asking who looks after the waste I told them biffa and we in a two year contract.
They then told me we can give you a much better deal and get you out your contract free of charge
I was over the moon with saving money who won’t be
So they send me a letter I have to send off to biffa to cancel the contact biffa get back to me saying if you cancel now you will be charged 1600 for early cancellation so I got back in touch with
Skips and bins and sed am not paying to get out of the contract you told me I could get out for free they sed don’t worry about it we will just leave it - now in 2023 they have come back to me saying I did not fulfil my contract with them and now demanding £1600 or they will take me to court sorry but if I wasnt giving wrongfully advised and information by your sales team, I would never of taken the contract out with your company I would have told you to contact me at the end of the contract with Biffa
This is just a simple case of a big company, trying to extort smaller companies
From the very start, Skips & Bins has been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with. Their customer service is practically non-existent, with phone calls going unanswered and emails being met with glacial response times. And when you do get a response, it's anything but helpful.
When my bins took weeks to arrive, I attempted to cancel. But I was blindsided by a response that stated I had no consumer rights as a company. To add insult to injury, the bin that finally arrived was filthy and stained, leaving me with the task of cleaning it myself. Yet, they had the audacity to charge me for both collection and washing the bins at the end of the contract – after I already had to wash it upon its arrival.
Skips & Bins' 12-month notice period is outrageous and had I not missed this information when signing, I would have never engaged with them. Furthermore, I found their inclusion of a non-disparagement clause in the initial service contract deeply suspicious. Such clauses typically aim to prevent customers from voicing genuine concerns and negative experiences, which raises questions about their business practices. Learn from my mistake and read the small print! The final straw was when they prematurely ended my contract and left a full, foul-smelling bin sitting outside my property for over a month due to an error on their part.
To top it all off, their staff, particularly Jessica, displayed extreme unhelpfulness and rudeness throughout the ordeal. This entire experience with Skips & Bins has been nothing short of traumatic.
Save yourself the stress and steer clear of this company!

Warning to others - a complete rip off! After they have sweet talked you at the start, the fees creep up until they are charging you more than twice per empty than their competitors.
They also charge WTN fee every month, - completely unecessary.
Impossible to speak to anyone and they will ignore emails.
I cannot wait for the contract to end (you have to give 12 months notice by the way).
Just been slapped with a £50 bill to remove the bin at the end of the contract, despite there being no mention of this on their (incredibly small, red font) terms and conditions.
Had an issue with an existing supplier, (Biffa), went to these guys who quoted me £11 per waste bin cheaper then I was paying. Contracts been in place for 6 months, never missed a service or had a issue yet. (Dealt with Carl who was quick to act and has been helpful since)
Avoid this company. They will communicate until you have signed up, they then stop communicating and don’t actually deliver anything as promised. A nightmare to deal with.
There were only a small number of reviews so I decided to give this company the benefit of the doubt and placed an order for a 1100L bin. Ordered and paid on the 15th September and as of the 26th no delivery has been made. Contact requesting confirmation of delivery have been ignored. I'm now awaiting a refund but have a feeling this will also be ignored.
Worst company I've ever had to come across I would advise anyone to avoid at any cost their customer service are nothing short of ignorant and vile, lovely while signing you up once your signed up they're the absolute worst so beware !!
I had originally wrote a really negative review, about we have paid for this and not got a skip.
Long and short was that we should have had a plasterboard skip delivered to us middle of last week. They asked to change the date to Friday (we agreed) and then on the Friday changed it to the Monday (we agreed).. Then it was going to be Tuesday (we said just to cancel) That was within the 5 days and if you cancel within the 5 days, they keep all your money..
We were then told Wednesday it would be here.. Nothing..
We were woken this morning by the sound of a skip being delivered.. It's the missing skip..
All the building / skip companies are soo under pressure just now that if it's going to be a week late we can try and work round that or that there is a realistic timeline that we can work to, that's cool but the constant over promising and under delivering has been woeful..
The truth is that the comms have been that bad and delivery dates constantly missed that we thought it was a scam!!
I am giving three stars (really it's 2.5) because we got a skip and we can make it work this weekend to get it filled.

Would like to offer 0 stars but can't. Upon being told that they couldn't deliver a skip to us on our preferred date we immediately cancelled. They have decided to keep our money as they're offered date was 'within 5 days' of our preferred date. So we've just paid them money to do sweet FA.
