Oliver at SJL insurance worked very hard to get me a reduction in my excess and premium for my property, saving me in the region of £550 alone on my annual premium. This is the second time I have used SJL and they are far best insurance broker I have ever used.

It's the first time I needed to buy this specific type of insurance. It was simple to obtain a quote and then Pedro was very helpful and responded quickly to my email queries when I needed a bit of help and clarification regarding the cover provided.

Adam pulled the rabbit out of the insurance hat a second time for me: holiday let insurance for a listed building on a flood plain that had flooded some years back. He achieved this in a matter of days with quiet efficiency and professionalism.

A few years ago ( I can’t remember the exact date) I had my tools insured with SJL Insurance. Unfortunately like a lot of traders my van was broken into over night and my petrol tools taken. I was obviously shocked and disappointed but knew that my tools were insured. After informing the insurance company I had feeling that they didn’t believe that I had locked my vehicle, I informed them that the Police said that the thief used a “smart key”- they still didn’t believe me. After about six weeks of waiting and constant phone calls I received a settlement, a fraction of the value of my tools and the whole experience made me ill, I was run down and had Shingles.
Two weeks ago I had to make a claim with Direct Line Insurance and the experience with them was worlds apart, Direct Line were quick to pay me, no haggling, no arguing and completely stress free, this is how a good insurance company should be.

I was directed to SJL Insurance by BIBA following the death of my mother as, despite living in the insured property, I needed specialist insurance which I only discovered 48 hours before the existing policy expired. Adam McElroy was very helpful in explaining the process and providing quotes (and revised quotes once we determined that the buildings cover may be undervalued) and ensuring the property was covered over the weekend until the policy could be finalised today (Monday). Thanks Adam!

Mr Adam McElroy dealt with my problem very efficiently and all was sorted within 24hrs. Our move to a second home had been delayed due to my husbands ill health Allready under considerable stress for this reason we certainly didn't need any futher stress regarding the insurance of the property. Mr McElroy gave us 1st class Service and this review is the least we can do to show our appreciation.

I tcd about 6 days notice that cover w my existing provider was to be increased by 60% so I sought other possibilities. Most said it would take weeks to make a formal offer. Adam at SJL came up with an offer within 24 hrs. A few minor details to sort out but that only took an extra day. Bravo! Adam of SJL who had been recommended to me by BIBA.
